The headphone jack problem which affected zen micro did not affect zen microphoto

the sound sounds good too buy too make it sound good you must change the headphone

It is cheaper then Ipod nano for the same size

"Zen Microphoto screen have 262k of colours and ipod nano have 65k"
ok
"The headphone jack problem which affected zen micro did not affect zen microphoto"
This has to do with Ipod Nano how? Check your subject line.
"the sound sounds good too buy too make it sound good you must change the headphone "
Errr.... In order to make anything sound good, you need better headphones! All mp3 players come with cheap headphones......
"It is cheaper then Ipod nano for the same size"
They cost the same and the nano is smaller. In fact, if you count the $99 2 gig, the Nano costs less.
Please, this is a discussion forum about Creative, don't bring Ipod bashing into it. If you really want to bring up the better qualities of the Micro Photo, do it right, like this:
. Better sound, the Nano seriously sounds like crap.
2. Better screen, somewhat...
3. Bigger storage space.
4. $249 for twice as much space.
Now discuss. Just do it in a fair way and not one that bashes everyone and everything... :X

My primary reason for buying an iPad is for travel in Europe. I live in an area of the US where Verizon rules. Is Verizon's 3G model good for international travel? I'm hearing conflicting views. Any advice appreciated.

Verizon uses CDMA.
The rest of the world uses GSM.
The wifi will work, if you find a hotspot.
The 3G will not, unless south Korea moves to Europe.

HI Everyone, I am looking to buy a replacement battery cover for my 8GB Zen MicroPhoto. I just need the back piece which slides over the battery compartment...any ideas where I might find one?

• Is there Any alternate software available for the zen microphoto that allows me to

I can only view the contents of my Zen microphoto as folders and files (i.e. it gives me a "Windows Explorer" type view of the contents) - I cannot view my Zen microphoto library in the same way as my PC Music Library (i.e. by Genre, Artist or Album) Is there Any alternate software available that allows me to see and organize my Zen microphoto library in the same way as my PC Music Library (i.e. by Genre, Artist or Album)

There is program in the App Store called Bookpedia that seems tailor-made for your situation.

Bento is another easy to use database solution.
Or GoogleDocs has a spreadsheet application, free online, although not really specific to your application.
If you really are using OS8.6, as your signature states, you may look for an old version of FileMaker on eBay.

• Buying Zen Microphoto was a mistake

Because I can't get it to work. I have XP with Service Pack 2, tried pretty much every advice and help that's been here and in support pages, but still. I cannot get it recognized by XP. I cannot get XP to update drivers, tampering with regedit and usb didn't do much good, and I have Media Player . So I'm asking some other ways to get this thing working, or at least someone saying it's hopeless, so I wouldn't have to struggle with impossible.

For all those having problems with your zen microphoto suddenly deciding to stop connecting after having connected perfectly for weeks...then suddenly to come up with some **BLEEP** like this: Windows User-Mode Driver Framework has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
You need an MTP driver. Search or find one at:

• I need to take a lot of notes in my daily customer/sales meetings. The very reason for buying an ipad is to try how I can avoid taking notes and then again typing them in emails etc. What are the market leading apps which can help me to avoid this?

Are there any apps which helps resolving this? Say as for example it can turn my wiriting to some ascii text and then it becomes highly reusable.
Advanced features can be that it understands drawings and convert them into separate jpegs which can be reused as well
I need some suggestions. I think sales perople who use ipad a lot can give really good avice

Hi AReyes42,
Given you had just purchased this phone 20 days before it became defective, I of course can understand you being upset by the described experience. I honestly wish the representatives you spoke to had been clearer in their advice to you.
Our return or exchange period for contract based phones is 14 days from the date of purchase. After that timeframe has past any defects or damage would need to be addressed by any coverage on the phone. Your phone has two types of coverage. It has its manufacturer’s warranty and the Geek Squad Protection (GSP) plan.
The manufacturer’s warranty should cover any defects within the first year of owning the phone; while your GSP would cover beyond that time, and any covered damage within the first year. Since you are claiming the unit is defective it should be covered by LG’s warranty, and you will need to work with them to get the phone repaired or replaced.
We could request a refurbished replacement under your GSP, but per the terms of your GSP you would be charged a service fee, and for a smartphone the service fee is $150. Since LG should not be charging to repair or replace your phone, under their warranty, I once again highly recommend you work with them towards getting this resolved.
I have filed a formal complaint on your behalf, and if you do have any questions for me please post back to this thread.

• Is the reason for buying laptops disappearing?

I've looked at all best Buy offerings and finding a laptop to meet my needs is very hard (in part because I want a good screen). The laptops are becoming commodities with fairly cheap parts --- an admittedly good i5 2410, low resolution, high glare screen, cheap chassis, etc... to maintain profitability. Reliability sems to be a crapshoot. Want a good computer. A high-end xps 8300 desktop is much better than a high-end Sony Vaio laptop in my opinion (especially for the money). Want to carr? Your ipad 2 might be waiting. I know this is not true for all, but the poor quality of many laptops (especially thye low res screesn leaves me not wanting to use one. B.B. has an i7 XPS 8300 desktop (Dell's quality has greatly improved) for a bout $850 that is absolutely loaded and better than any laptop that I see on their page or in their stores. And for $200 I had have an excellent, big screen. I don't want a 10lb gaming laptop with one hour of battery life.
If I need to travel, the ipad 2, while imperfect, will meet my needs (many companies are using these now rather than laptops).
Any truth to this. I am learning bout computers now and this is what my neophyte eyes see. Rx. I, mean Tx. :-)
It just seems a good desktop with an ipad 2 (or ipad 3 when out) is less expensive and meets most needs.

At this time, the iPad2 is a play thing with some limited functionality, but that can be enchanced with a company-specific app. However, it's use is limited to very special circumstances - there are too many 'ifs' and pre-preperation needed to make it a valuable work tool.
While a notebook or netbook - well, that's easy to set up, easy to use, and as already mention, much more useful.

• Zen microphoto and recharcing batter

hi,
I want to buy zen microphoto.
I'd know if it's possible to use the mp3 player while the battery is under charge (using the USB charge adapter AC/DC).
thanks
have a nice day ^_^

No you can't, the only thing happens when you plug the player to a USB wire is that the screen changes and a lightning sign with a battery in background appears .. kind of a screen saver ..
but no sounds goes out.
Good point is that the battery can stands for really long, almost a 3 days without stopping player .. so no chance to miss any music, you just have to think of plugging it while you sleep !!!
Cheer up man that would be a good choice !!

• Zen Microphoto usage without installat

I was wondering, I am going to be taking my Zen Microphoto over to Europe soon. I was wondering if i HAVE to install the CD I got with it to access my files and upload pictures and such. I was planning on storing all of my digital pictures on this player, so since in most internet cafe's and such your not allowed to install software, I want to just be able to plug my usb cables in, and use explorer to upload files. Is this possible?
Thank you!

Slacker,
My bad, I misread the post as you were having Zen Micro. Firmware version .20.0 is PlayForSure supported for the Zen MicroPhoto. Did you installed the Zen MicroPhoto Media Explorer in your computer now? If you did, go to the Media Explorer, Settings and Information menu. There's a option in there "Show device in My Computer". Enable that and you should be able to see the device listed in My Computer.

• Zen microphoto but without an installation

Hey everyone. Here's my story. I bought an 8 GB zen microphoto at cambridge soundworks for only 50 bucks because it was a store model. The only downside was that I didn't get instructions or the installation cd. Though I do know about zens (I previoiusly owned a 6 GB zen micro). I also tried to download firmware for it but that did not help because the mediasource didnt recognize my zen microphoto. Any suggestions? I bought the 2 year warranty as well. Do you think Creative would send me an installation cd? Thankyou.

I have tried to download the firmware from creative's website. Everytime I do, it does not recognize that i have a zen microphoto connected. I have 2 usb plugs for the zen microphoto and nothing seems to work. My computer recognizes I have a zen microphoto connected and allows me to add music and photos by going into 'my computer'. This is however taking up more space than it should.

• Zen Microphoto Drivers / How to use microphoto without

I've lost the CD for my Zen Microphoto and just recently formatted and reinstalled Win XP on my computer. Most companies host drivers for the hardware they sell. Creative seems to be taking exception to the microphoto. I've downloaded everything listed in the downloads section for the microphoto. The strange thing is that there is no driver listed. I've been trying for weeks to find a way to transfer songs to and from my zen and have yet to find a way. I can't even install the zen organizer application because it requires a connection with my zen player (which my computer can't find without a driver). I've tried connecting with my zen on several different computers. Nothing works. Any ideas?
By the way, who's bright idea at creative was it to sell mp3 players that don't come with power cords that connect with wall outlets?

If you are using standard oracle client, software is installed correctly, you shouldn't need to. The oracle directories will already be on the path.
If you are using instant client you will have to set your path manually. Goto control panel -> system -> Environment variables.
I'm fairly sure the Instance client installation document has something on this.
Windows doesn't use LD_LIBRARY_PATH. It just uses PATH

• Zen MicroPhoto C

Hi everyone,im new to the forum so i hope this hasnt been posted before (i have searched)...well i ordred a zen microphoto in black on amazon.co.uk couple of days ago. I am now looking around for a suitable case to keep it in. I will be keeping it my uni bag alot so i thoguth a lether case would be better then a silicone cover...
i was wondeirng if the normal zen micro cases would be ok for the new zen microphoto or are these not suitable...also i found this on the uk creative shop http://uk.europe.creative.com/shop/product.asp?prod=07 looks good for the price but again its for the zen micro...how can i find out if its suitable for the zen microphoto?
well hope someone can help...

Finally got the case, I really think its a lot better than other options available at local stores for $20. I paid $30 including shipping, and the quality of it is very good. Only complaint is it does indeed cut off the top of the screen, but you can tilt it and see the time if needed. Viewing photos is the major problem because the top is cut off. The case holds the ZMP very nice and snug, and buttons have fairly easy access. There is a nice screen protector, and the keypad is left uncovered. The case uses two thin magents sewn inside the external flaps which provides a nice enclosure. Sorry don't have a camera so can't take pics, but I do recommend it.

• So my computer broke some how and now it wont even turn on i just such without want to know if i can still have all my old songs and buying it all over again or something for please help me

so my computer broke some how and now it wont even turn on i just want to know if i can still have all my old songs and such without buying it all over again or something so please help me oh also my ipod broke so i dont have anything that has my old songs except for the itunes ppl who know all of my songs

You buy one download and one download only, it is your responsibility to backup your music.
it has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases
