Reasons for a slow web link??

Dear friends,
I have a jsp file. I move to that jsp file when I click on a link in
a html page. But i get that jsp page after a long time, sometimes even
3-4 minutes. One reason that I can think of it is the amount of processing that takes place in the jsp file(it has to access 3 tables each with a thousand records for queries). Can this be a reason??
or what may be the other reasons and how to overcome this problem??

You are accessing 3 tables with thousands of rows returned and then all this data is get loaded in you jsp page so both of the things require time 1) To search records from database specially when you are working with MSACCCESS. 2) Compilation of your JSP page & executing the statements and loading the data .....

Settings for BW BEx web link

Dear Friends,
We have just migrated the BW 3.5 server to a higher end server.
The host name had to be changed in the process due to which the BEx Web link (It is a default web link to access queries, not an Enterprise Portal link) is not accessible. I want to know where all I need to make changes to make it work.
The old link was
http://dicbwprd:8000/sap/bw/BEx
In this server dicbwprd is changed to bwprd and the port is changed to 8100.
If I just replace them in the internet explorer, it does not work: - http://dicbwprd:8000/sap/bw/BEx
I tried locating settings in SICF but no success.
Please help.

I cannot find an option for sending a web link directly to my Wallpaper as a 'shortcut'.

I cannot find any option (in the 'File' tab), to send a website link to my wallpaper directly. On IE in the drop down 'File' menu tab, it has an option to 'Send' as an email, OR 'Send' to your desktop as a Shortcut.. Mozilla does not have that option. I do not understand why you do not have that simple option? The Drop down 'File' in Mozilla only allows you to send the link as an email. I always have to copy and paste a link from Mozilla to my IE browser to be able to send a link as a Shortcut to my wall paper.

Slow web page loads on Mac, but not for PC

I use a D-Link wireless router (DI-524) for my PowerBook G4 15" and my roommate's Dell PC. Very recently I seem to get very slow web page loads with some pages not even loading at all.
Airport is consistently connected with no drops at all and when I'm downloading something it never gets interrupted the whole way through.
My roommate's PC has no problem whatsoever and all of the web pages that he visits load instantly. It seems that my main problem is with web pages.
I've tried doing a clean install on my Powerbook, I've tried resetting the router (I've tried upgrading the firmware but the router decided it didn't want to work with the new version). And surprisingly, I get the same slow speeds when I hook up my Powerbook to my router via ethernet cable. The only time my speeds are perfectly fine is when I hook up my Powerbook directly to the wall (I dorm in a university so we have a T3 line).
Can someone please give me some advice on this very frustrating issue?

In addition to Neds suggestions, empty the Safari cache (which should be empty after a clean install).
Goto the Safari Get Info screen (in Finder or in Dock if you have Safari there), click the triangle on languages, and disable those you don't use.
My Safari response time was significantly slowed after the 10.4.5 update, and using the combo updater took care of that. The 10.4.6 combo update is located here.

No, the Import PDF feature allows you to save a new version of your PDF form that has a "Submit" button that submits the data back to FormsCentral which is available for you to view, analyze and manage on the View Responses tab. It does not provide a "web" version of the form.
In order to make the PDF form available online you will want to create a link to download the PDF and instruct users to fill it out using the free Adobe Reader (or Acrobat), you do not want to allow the PDF to be opened inside of a web browser as that will not work for most users. Changing the icon for saved Web links.

Im trying out different forum topics to see if anyone can help and I thought this would be a cool thing to do and might be doable with an applescript.
I save a lot of web address as files to go back to later and I find the default @ icon for firefox or the blank icon for safari pretty appalling. I was wondering if there was a way to change the icon so that when ever I save a new link file it would use the new icon. I was thinking about just an icon that has the Firefox, safari, chrome logo would be good or even better a little picture preview of the web page its self. Any help on this little idea I have is very appreciated

I tried this AppleScript but it was not working. Is there something that I need to check.
I had a few web link files in a folder and the script RAN the INFO window popped up but nothing changed.

Web link work around for Pages

As of March 2014 Apple hasn't fixed the Export to PDF preserving web links bug! Pages 5.1 build 1769. This means that any PDFs you create from Pages won't have clickable web links past the first page.
Here are the work arounds that I have found so far.
In Pages keep your document to 1 page. Web links on the first page are fine.
In Pages 5 choose File > Export > Pages '09 and then on your Mac if you have an older version of Pages '09 in your applications folder, open it and open your exported file. Now when you export the PDF the web links will be there. If you don't have the older Pages '09 see the next solution.
Use a free web tool like PDF Escape to recreate the web links. PC like interface and you have to be careful to not leave the web page or you'll reset everything, but I found it was really helpful in copy/pasting the web links from Pages to PDF Escape. Didn't seem to work with HTTPS links, but others were fine. http://www.pdfescape.com
If anyone sees an inexpensive or free solution on the Mac App Store please share. Adobe Acrobat Pro CC or CS will also work, but it is too expensive for most folks.

i don't know about handling the multi tier issue but you can easily put an instance into the ServletContext that keeps track of the associations between users and sessions and can react accordingly.

Thanks for the suggestion. I eventually got in touch with Adobe Technical Support and it turned out that my Adobe Application Manager was not the latest version. They downloaded the latest version and installed it and that seemed to solve the problem. I was able to install my CS6 Creative Suite and validate the serial number. All seems to be going well at the moment.

VApp for web-link

I am try to create new thin app. Technicality it's not an application, it's web-link to internal Application (IIS) server. But this link has requirements for specific browser (IE9) and Java version. We are replacing all computers from XP to Win 7 and standard build have IE11 and way newest JRE that this app needs. How can I create vApp in that case. What should be an original stage and final stage? Thank you.

1. I'll build new VM with XP, IE9, JRE
2. Will make original snapshot from that VM.
3. Then I suppose to make some changes.
4. Snapshot the changes.
I just don't see what should I do in step 3. Or am I missing something.

Starting EAS is very slow -Web Launcher for Administration Services Console

Hi all,
When a user has not been connected to EAS for more or less amount of time
starting the EAS via (Web Launcher for Administration Services Console) takes a very long time.
When ESA is started also opening the “Essbase Server” node and then also opening the “Application” node takes a long time.
This a very annoying.
Is there any chance to accelerate this?
Any hint is welcome.

Oh sorry, I forgot to mention: Version 11.1.2.1 in a distributed environment Win2008R3 64bit.
From one of the servers I also used EAS with the same outcome - well seems the Service behind is the same one.
And as I wrote this is not always case. for example just this morning it was fast as I expected it to be.
However there must be a reason for the occasional slowliness and customers usually has less understanding for suche an up and down of performance.
Any idea?
