Reasons to use multiple modules:
These are the ones I know about:
â¢     If multiple schemas already exist, then it can be more convenient to use multiple modules to map to them. Personally, I have never come across a situation whereby Warehouse Builder modules were to be retrofitted onto an existing physical implementation.
â¢     Before transportable tablespaces, it was often useful if one had remote users to be able to export an entire schema (which just held the presentation objects). Of course, since Oracle 9i, this issue has just gone away.
â¢     If there is a need to provide some people access to the raw data in the underlying presentation layer physical tables, but those people must be security screened out from all other physical objects, then it can be easier to set up a separate schema to cater for those security needs. However, this security requirement can more easily be catered for by the use of Views on the published objects. Also, in practice, the use of a Business Intelligence metadata layer (like a Business Objects Universe, or a Discoverer End User Layer) is by far the best and most appropriate place to perform this security function. (If this layer exists, of course).

Hello I will give you my take on modules.
I personally use modules to represent phases/stages of development. Objects can be created during a phase of development and exist under a module representing that phase. It allows you to identify what was built in which phase. Locations on the other hand are schemas. They can apply to one or many modules. So in summing up I use modules to manage projects within the overall OWB project. Currently an OWB project relates to a DB instance ( I am unsure if this will change). Over time the only way to manage new builds into your DW/DM is to use a module to represent the new stage of life.
So think of a module more as a project. Locations are well locations (schemas). Using multiple locations (schemas) is a whole different kettle of fish.

The "issues" you've raised are nothing to do with the iCloud service.
No service that uploads data allows you to disconnect the device you are uploading from while uploading data. Doing so would prevent the upload from completing. It is a basic requirement for any uploading service that you remain connected to it for uploading to be possible.
The time it takes to upload data to iCloud is entirely dependent on how fast your Internet connection is, and how much data you are uploading. Both of these things are completely out of Apple's control. Whichever upload service you use will be affected by the speed of your Internet connection.

Query about Leaving date,Reason for leaving fields in R3 report of HR Modul

Hi Experts,
I have a report in R3 for HR. In the report i am getting fields like leaving date,reason for leaving .
When I clicked F1 on the leaving date and reason i came to know the field name as FIREDATE and MGTXT...
I checked in DD03L table with these field name and found no related tables for that.....
but i found some structures only.........
In order to create a generic datasource with these fields included then how data will get for these fields....
But i find no relevant tables regarding these fields.....in the report of r3 when checked f1

The easiest way to accomplish that would be to add some logic in a custom controller (i.e some java code). Which is a little more complex than regular personalizations.

I'm afraid you're chasing ghosts here, as have many before you and I'm afraid it will not stop here.
The reason a search didn't bring up an easy solution (see your other thread, SAP BASIS Display only Role) is because there's no easy way to get to a display only role.
Some thoughts:
1- The amount of authorization objects varies from system to system, due to patch levels and installed add-ons so sharing a role built on a 'strange' system will have it's flaws and due to the amount of objects in SAP_ALL or a copy will make it very difficult to spot those.
2- There are somewhere between 150-200 different activity related fields in an ECC systems' authorization objects and for quite a few 03 is not display. Some do not have a display activity. See below as well.
3- There are a lot of objects that do not have any activity related field so putting them in a role and claiming it is read-only is downright dangerous.
To create proper display roles you will need to get requirements from the business, not only to build the roles but also to be able to test them. I've seen long lasting discussions whether printing is a display activity or not......

How to find out the reason for blocking locks?

PB Application try to create data in ASE 12.5. With this operation, there are sql, sp, trigger involved. Most of the it is okay. With lock of sleeping or sync sleeping lock. User wait for a short time to get the result.
but some time, there are blocking lock.
If spid for the app is 1. then looks like this app also generate another spid, say it is 2. and 2 is blocking by 1. spid 1 holding lock!
then all user is frozen because of spid 1 holding lock!!! How to figure it out the reason for blocking locks?

I found out one case like:
I have a SP which call a View for data.
When I run this SP, suppose the sipd is 1. then it will create another spid 2 because of access view and it gone very quick. This cause spid 1 block spid 2 within a short time.
If the are many user run the app, the app will be frozen and everyone is waiting. Finally it release, no dead lock, but the performance is not acceptable.
That why I have this question.

Apple helpline confirm reasonable for an ipad to only last 2 years.

Have an ipad 1 3g model, cost approx £500. 2 years 3 months old.
Problem when charging if it reaches 100%, ipad will completely shut down. Can take up to an hour to reboot.
Spoke to Apple. Realise I can record calls for personal use but they cannot be used as evidence in court.
Lady confirmed not unreasonable for the battery to give up after 2 years.
Sales of goods act allows up to 6 years to claim for faulty items. However im being advised a battery is a consumable and therefore not covered.
Firstly as yet we have no idea this is a battery fault, its fine once its rebooted ok.
Secondly, ipads1 I believe they even glue the battery in, warranties invalid if you try and replace the battery, device is made so the average consumer cannot replace battery.
This to me makes it an integral part of the ipad, not a consumable part that can be swapped in and out.
Therefore the lady at apple is confirming it is bot unreasonable to have a faulty ipad after 2 years but that apple will not assist. I was even told they could replace my ipad1 for £206. With another ipad1! Have all this on a recording.
Im posting here to see what other apple staff may suggest. Is this lady incorrect? Do you think its 'perfectly reasonable' for a £500 tablet to fail after 2 years.
Finally I would add the item was actually bought from Currys, Apple have actually been a lot more helpful than Currys. Currys simply dont want to know, pass the buck to Apple etc, even though the sales of goods act states my contract is with the seller. Ie Currys.
Apologies for the waffle, but this ipad was a present for my mum. She is very elderly and trying to deal with cancer. Skype and her emails have become a bit of lifeline to her.

Failing to determine sales area in sales order for many BP's(Sold-To Party)

Hi Experts
In SAP CRM version 4.0, when I enter the Sold-to party (BP) in the sales order transaction, for some it determines the sale area automatically and for most of the BP's it is not determining.
The Determination rule is organizational Model.
The determination rule used is 91000141 (ZORGMAN_RA = Organization based on BP and trans.)
Under Container tab in this determination rule, using simulate Rule resolution button, for some BP, it find the agent with green light when I place a BP in the Container element value field but for many BP's, it shows as No agent found.
Org. data profile used is ZORGPROF_RA (Mandatory are sales Org, Dist. Ch, Sales Off.) and has set the above determination rule.
In the Organizational model, the General attributes are country, currency, dist. Ch & division.
So, Why Org determination is working for some BP and not for all.. I've checked each field in BP transaction comparing those BP where the org detrmination is automatic with those where it is not determining...but not able to find a clue also to trace it.
we are introducting a sales order block in BP (under sales tab) for some specific Sold-To party and in webshop when these Sold-to party are tried to place an order then an error message will show that this "Sold-To party has a sales area block".
To achieve this, first the org determination should work automatically for all BP's otherwise for those BP which cannot detrmine the sales area in the sales order transaction will allow to place order (which should not be in our case)
Can any one throw some light in this case..please do ask if you need more clarification in my question.

Thanks for your reply.
I found the cause of the failure, in not determining the sales area automatically in sales transaction for some BP's.
It is due to the BP settings, under sales area view, under organization tab, by pressing 'Choose sale area" button, I can see the sales Organization has uncheck for 'sales' but it is check for all others - shipping, billing, partner, status, Organization.
It is due to -> no data mainatined for the BP under Sales tab, after mainatianing it, I can see the check by pressing the 'choose sale area under organization tab.
Now, in Order transaction, the sale area is determined automatically when I enter the BP.
So this was the reason that some BP's was able to determine the sales area automatically but not for others in the sales transaction.

Hi,
I am new to OM module.I booked an order and trying to do "pick release" the booked order but i couldn't do so, because the order is getting backordered.
These are the things i checked
1.On-hand quantity for the particular item i am booking is sufficient enough
2.Item is in M1 org and onhand quantity is also in same org.
Can you please help me how to find the exact reason for my order getting backordered.

Reason for rejection in Credit Memo

Hi gurus,
We have a Credit Memo Request with one position. This position is rejected (Reason for rejection) and document is blocked at head level (Billing block).
If we unblock Billing block from CR, we can create a bill of 0 price. We want system willn't create bills in this case, because the item level is rejected and a bill of 0 euros is not correct for us.

When you reject the line item in the document the net value become 'Zero',
But when you reject with a 'reson for rejection' the order will get closed, it should not allow processing the billing again. How many line items you have in this credit memo request?
Check the status of the credit memo request in VA03 --> Environment --> Status Overview. Check whether the credit memo request is 'completed' or not??

CAD "Select reason for not ready" not appearing for some agents? Please help!

I have some users who when they click on 'Not Ready' in CAD (Cisco Agent Desktop) - they are not presented with the 'Select Reason for Not Ready' dialog box - it just goes straight to Not Ready.

Is there an individual setting which needs to be set on each user in CUCM or UCCX in order for this to be triggered?

Cisco Desktop Administrator (go) > Personnel > Agents > Set appropriate 'Work Flow Group'
Agent logs out of and closes CAD, opens and logs back into CAD, tested, solved.

Reason for rejection For open line items

I Have checked in Google and in scn But Not able to find exact one
How to achieve This Issue
Created sales order line item ---150 qnty Now delivered---100 qnty PGI As well as
Now Clint wants to give reason For rejection For 50 qnty
Now Generally what we are doing is Just changing the qnty in sales order change mode VA02 --100
But some times they have so many open line items are there and not possible to change in all line items exact number
So now i trying to give reason for rejection Line item For full 150 qnty Because Automatically 50 qnty Will be reduced in MD04
But when i am Giving reason For rejection To line item system is giving error msg that subsequent document is being processed
So any Enhancement shall we do To skip this

But I can not see that the excess qty (not delivered) is being deducted from MRP, when Reason for Rejection is set.
Sir we can see ...May be it will take 5 mnts time To be updated ( MD04)
By the By , sir you have any idea To control This pop-up Message ( In your case it may be information msg But some times We are getting Error Msg )
so Where we can control Warning to Error like this
or it is related to enhancement issue
