Rebate Settlement - Documents related to Credit Memo

Hello Gurus,
I did some research on this problem and didn't find anything in the forum, which surprises me because this may be a common problem/question. So I will ask here, maybe someone can provide some information or link to other thread.
When running VB(7 transaction for rebate agreement settlement, the credit memo for settlement is created and it uses all the invoices accruing for that agreement for a given period (I assume).
We have a custom program to get list of invoices related to that settlement, which basically tries to find any invoice for that agreement in the specific time period. Sometimes we find discrepancies due to rates changed or other circumstances.
The question is, is there any way in the system to track back which are the invoices considered for the calculation of one specific credit memo request?
Thanks in advance for your feedback.
Jose

  • Settlement of Debit and Credit Memos of Sales Orders

    Hi,
Do we Settle Credit/Debit Memos while settling Sales Orders as a Part of Month End Procedures, What should we do if we need to settle them.
    Thanks
    Sivaram

Hi Madhu, did u find the solution to this problem you posted please reply as soon as you can
The value from a condition is posting to the same side of GL account in credit and debit memos.
e.g., the value of 100 from condition x is bebiting GL a/c 100 and crediting GL a/c 200 in debit memo in accounting document. In credit memo the value from this conditon should credit GL a/c 100 and debit GL a/c 200, but system is crediting and debiting the same GL a/c as in debit memo.

  • Link multiple sales documents to a credit memo

    Hi,
Long time ago someone showed me standard configuration  ( SPRO -Sales and Distribution -> Basic Functions) -Where a credit memo can be linked to multiple sales order/billing document.
In the credit memo screen, you enter multiple sales order/billing document in each row and corresponding credit memo in adjacent column.
    Does anyone know this?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
If you want to link one credit memo with multiple sales/billing document
Then create credit memo with reference to previous document when you are on main screen of credit memo
Again go to SALES DOCUMENT >>> create with reference
then specify another previous document and click on copy the item from second previous document should be appear
Note : Due to system unavailable I am not tested this please try
As far as my understanding it will work if customer from previous document are same

  • Other document type for credit memos in MIRO

    Dear,
i would like to use a seperate document type for credit memos posted with MIR0 compared to RE for invoices. I created a new Z transaction. And now I thought that I could enter this new transaction code in OMR4 (tablle V_169F), but I can not add a new customised transaction in this list. What can I do?
Or is there an other way to have another document type for credit memos?
    Thank you.
    Leen

    Hi
You can create a new document type for credit memo through t code OBA7. Once the T code is created with all necessary parameters you can assign this to MIRO transaction.
You cannot create a customised transaction through OMR4. This is meant for assigning the Doc type to Invoice verification

  • ORDER RELATED INTERCOMPANY CREDIT MEMO ALWAYS NOT INVOICED

We have recently created 'Order related inter company credit memo' . For this, we used order related billing (billing relevance = C i.e. Relevant for ord.-related billing - status acc.to target qty) with standard item category 'G2N'. The issue is even after invoicing, sales order item status is 'Not Invoiced' and header status is 'Open', hence these orders are picked up multiple times during background invoice run and multiple invoices are being created.
How do we control the 'Completion' status in order related inter company billing? VBUP-FKSAA is not changed even after billing document creation and remains as A i.e. Not yet processed. Do i need to check VBUP-FKIVP since this is inter company billing.
I have also tried with TVAP-FKREL as 'B' i.e. Relevant for order-related billing - status according to order quantity but of no use.
    Please advise.

    credit memo
    credit memo request
    customizing credit memo request
    item cat
the strange is that if I select an order-rel billing type different from ZG4 that has type 6, the credit memo request disappear from VF04. If I bill with this ZG4 billing type, the credti memo will not disappear from vf04 and the status remains open.
What I have to do in order to close this????
I cannot change the billing document type from 6 (intercompany accredit) to O (accredit) because in case of credit memo request referred to different ic billing from different final customer, I have the splitting .

  • Duplication of document numbers for Credit Memo, Inventory Transfer, etc.

    Hi folks!
    Good Day!
We have noticed that there are credit memo numbers, inventory transfer numbers etc. that were duplicated in two different transaction in two different dates. Can you give a theory or possible reasons why this one happened? Let's refer to the credit memo first. I have searched these two credit memo in the database and I only found 1 of them... I used their names, details, codes and other info to locate the other CM but I failed.
    SCENARIO:
A/R CREDIT MEMO NUMBER follows a pattern of  (COMPANY NAME)-(CREDIT MEMO NUMBER)-(BRANCH)
I have created a credit memo last April 12, 2011 with the document number (ABCD-20050002-MNL) generated by the system.
with one item (BLUE TILE) and addressed to John Scott.
We found out that another credit memo dated April 29, 2011 having  the same document number (ABCD-20050002-MNL) making it a duplicate of the first one. This second transaction has one item also (BLACK PAINT) and was addressed to Olivia Dunham.
We found this when they are already printed or in hard copies. I just want to ask for your opinions, theory or suggestion with regard to this situation. Is there a possibility where it was duplicated while in the printing process?
Looking forward to hear from you....
    Thanks!
    =)

    Hi Kambadasan,
    Thanks.
I already checked the relationship and linking of number from the document to the layout printing and everything seems to be ok.
It follows and copy's the exact numbers.
    Thanks again

  • Rebate settlement

    Hi Team,
while settling the rebate i am gettting the error sales volume for agreement is not current. any help in solving this will be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Sasmita

    Hi Sasmita
Rebate agreemnts is based on agreement types.Conditon records which are created like B001 and B002 are linked to the rebate agreeements specifying the rebate rate + the accrual rates.condition records specify the rebate rate and the accrual rates.
    Consider an example..
You decided to give a rebate of 3% to a customer whose sales vol is $1000 for a particular SO
Then the rebate value is $30..
Now when you make the rebate settlement by doiing the Credit memo and you decide to pay $27, then the accounting will be generated saying 27$ paid towards rebate and 3$ is the accrual which you owe to the customer
    Procedure:
    Rebate agreement: Transaction code: VB01
When you go to VB01, choose agreement type 0002 and then in conditions give
    Material rebate
    1 20
    20 30
Now create a sales order with a material say M-11 for SOrg 1000 12 00 with QTY 6
Now check VB03 and see rebate agreemtent it will say Accruals 120 and payments 0
since your rebate is not settled still.
    Rebate setllement
Go to VB02 enter ur sales deal no, and change the agreemetn status to B then enter Shift+F12 and enter the amount to be paid for example u say $80
Then check in rebate payments rebate doc and partial setllemetn since you have not paid in full.
    View the credit memo request
Remove the Billing bloock Go to VA01 and put order type G2 ,,go to create with ref and enter ur Sales order no,,save the doc now.
Then go to VF01 and enter the credit memo reqst no generated...save the doc no and go to VF02 and say release to accounting

  • Rebate - Credit Memo Cancelled after Rebate is Finally Settled

    Hi Friends,
Request your inputs on the correct way to handle the following scenario:
A Rebate had been finally settled on14.08.2011. The Credit Memo which was created for the final settlement on the same date 14.08.2011 has been cancelled later on 16.09.2011.
This has been done because we realized later that we do not want to give the credit to the rebate recipient. In this scenario; we have an open amount in the rebate because of the cancellation of the credit memo.
Please give your inputs on the following:
    1) As per the standard SAP Process; Is it correct for a rebate to have an open amount after its final settlement has been done ? Is it correct to leave the Credit Memo Request in Open Status and NOT Bill it again ?
    OR
    2) If we again bill the Credit Memo Request ; we end up giving the credit to the rebate recipient; how would you suggest to reverse this accounting ?
    OR
    3) Any Other Option to handle this scenario ?
Looking forward to your valuable inputs
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi
When the customer is eligible for the rebate amount why you dont want to give that amount to the customer. Can you share the reason beyond this analysis
For  your First Point , as per the standard SAP once the final settlement is done  then credit memo request can be open or it can be billed. But it depend on the client requirement
For your second point, If you want to reverse the billing document, then again you have to create the credit memo with reference to the credit memo request again but it is not advisable.
But you can create the Credit Memo billing document and forward it to accounting also. But you can tell to FI team not use the credit amount for the customer transactions

  • Rebate Credit memo

    Hello All..
I have problem related to Rebate
    Situation is as follows:
A rebate agreement is created for a year with 2% of accruals at first stage and a partial payment is done. After some time we realised that accruals should have been at the rate of 1% instead of 2% and we made changes in the condition records of rebate agreement. At the time of final settlement system has generated a credit memo request for negative value which is correct because there was partial payment based in 2% of accruals and agreement is now with 1% accrual.
Actually as there is -ve value, system should generate debit note instead of credit note?
    Analysis upto now -
The Agreement type has been assigned with a Credit Memo Request as "Final settlement".. So the system will surely create the Credit memo request. BUT, when there is -ve net price, how can we shift to Debit Memo Request? If the ABAP development is required, where and how can we control this ?
Thanks in advance for your help

    Kunal
The behaviour of the system is correct. Because the document is a credit memo, a positive value is considered to be a credit value. A positive value in Credit memo results in negative posting in accounting which means that it is credit. If the value in credit memo is negative, it actually means that it is a debit. So conceptually, you have to give customer a debit memo and in this case, there is a credit memo with a negative value. So conceptually you are correct.
Second point is that you can link an agreement only to a credit memo request /CM not to a debit memo.
Third point is the most important one. You should not change the percentage of the rebate agreement in between. If there is a change, you only have to close that agreement without settling. Create a new rebate agreement with past validity from date. And you have to reorganise the rebate index to consider the documents created in the past for this agreement. I think VBOF will help you on this.
    Hope this info helps you

  • Currency in Rebate Agreement is different to Curr. required for Credit Memo

    Hello!
I have a question regarding Rebate Agreements.
We have clients with whom we have Rebate Agreements in USD, but clients are chilean so the Credit Memo is meant to be in Chilean Pesos. But there is apparently no possiblity to change the currency neither in Credit Memo Request neither in Credit Memo. The Chilean Financial Institute does not allow Credit Memo Document issued in USD, it has to be in Chilean Pesos!
Do you have any idea how to solve this problem?
    Thank you very much,
    Dominik Ley
    Santiago de Chile

    Hi domnik
First of all maintain currency conversion in OBO8  . Now when you settle the rebate agreement then go to Credit memo order (change mode)  and in item data ->conditions tab change the currency then automatically the value will also change and the same value will flow to the Credit memo billing document and then you can forward it to FI.

  • Final Rebate Settlement by billing document

    Dear Gurus,
The final rebate settlement from Rebate master will generate one credit memo request per Rebate agreement. I want to generate one credit memo request per billing document. Say, if the rebate agreement has 5 billing documents, it has to generate 5 credit memo requests.
    How to acheive it?

  • Credit memo related Data not reflected in  BCT Query

    Hi Experts ,
If anyone can help me .
Problem : I have loaded data in 0SD_C03 for sales analysis. Everything is alright and all data except Credit Memo related data are showing . During the selection in query the C/D posting + Doc Categ + Net Value forms the output value for Credit memo but it is not showing . The SD doc categ has credit memo records in VBFA table . Now i don't understand why data related to Credit memo is not retrieved in the query . I am using the standard queries and std BCT objects only .If anyone have come across please share your experience .
    Theba

Check in your Cube fact table whether you have entries with document category O - for credit memo
If not, ensure cube has the data and your query do not have any exclusion filter dor document category O. Check in PSA also, if not there your extractor is excluding the credit memo records

  • Issue related to the Credit memo and S.O.

    Hi,
I have one issue related to the Credit memo and S.O.
We have a network of Dealers and Dealer inventory is linked with our system. When user creates S.O for Dealer1.If the item is not avail in our inventory and it is avail in any other Dealer inventory (Dealer2), then the system creates S.O wrt the Dealer2.
In this case as the material is directly delivered from Dealer1 to Dealer2, there is no any GI in our system.
So, the transaction with Dealer1 will be the normal as usual. But, we have to return the goods amount to the Dealer2 with any suitable way. We are considering it as a Credit memo.
My question is, as we have created S.O wrt the partner function- Dealer1 and we are creating CR memo for Delaer2, is there any way through which we can link the se two transactions with customizing so that we need not to make any ABAP programming.
I mean can we create Cr memo wrt S.O when the partner functions are different?
    Pl. guide me.
    Thanks,
    Roopan.

    You have an interesting Scenario.
You can handle this scenario in multiple ways
    1. Third party Scenario (Here Dealer 1 becomes Vendor &Dealer 2 remains Customer)
    2. Order related sales & credit memo.
    3. Intercompany sales, where you represent dealers place as a plant in your system. (Not an ideal way to handle the scenario, but possible option)
