Rebates- Accrual rate and Rebate Rate

Hi, I am working on Rebate configuartion.
Can any one explian me the difference between Rebate Rate and the Accrual Rate that we provide while creating Rebate agreement.
Regards,
Sunil

Hi,
The rebate rate is the rate at which you have made the agreement with the customer for a specified period.
Accrual is the total rebate need to be provide for the agreemnet period.

  • "current encoder settings for bit rate and sample rate are invalid" message

I have some files I am working with. Details and what happened:
Had some music files where I was doing some trimming/splitting. Files worked fine in itunes.
Open the files in Quicktime Pro 7 to trim them. Exported to aif.
Opened the files with itunes. They open and play just fine.
In Itunes I click"create AAC version" to convert them.
I receive the message "An error occurred while trying to import the file. The current encoder settings for bit rate and sample rate are not valid for this file."
I don't know what to do from here. Suggestions?
    Thanks.

Make sure that the AIFFs that you export are set for 16 bit PCM.
Also, assuming that you are using 44.1 kHZ sampling in your AIFFs, make sure that you are not trying to use 48 kHz in the AAC.

Tony, Make sure you are in Songs view.  Then View > Show View Options, and check the boxes for "Bit Rate" and "Sample Rate."  See picture:

  • Spot rate and Exchange rate

    Dear SDN's
    I want to know,
What is spot rate in FI?
What is difference between spot rate and exchange rate?
where we can find this spot rate in R/3?
i am doing report for FI where the client want this spot rate? where the client is not maintaining any practice in R/3 for this spot rate. i would be very grateful for your valuable suggestions.
    Good day,
    thanks and regards

    Hi
A forward exchange transaction can be regarded as a future spot exchange transaction, because it comprises the future purchase or sales of foreign exchange.
Check the link for more info

You use spot exchange transactions to buy and sell internationally traded currencies against other currencies. These orders have very short expiry terms. It is a binding agreement for the immediate exchange of foreign exchange. As a rule, the foreign exchange is credited or delivered two days after conclusion of the business transaction.

  • TS1717 when trying to import cd the following message appears "the current encoder settings for bit rate and sample rate are not valid for this file"?

Trying to import cd when this message appears "the current encoder settings for bit rate and sample rate are not valid for this file".  Any suggestions?

Thanks so very much.  I chose MP3 and Download and it is working beautifully.  Have a wonderful day and it is so nice of you to get right back to me.  I'm trying to cut a DVD for my grandson's grad party and I got most of the photos and didn't have any music since I lost everything in a clean install.  Could hug you!

  • The selected combination of bit rate and sample rate is not allowed.

I've always burned my purchased CDs into iTunes using a AAC 320 kbps and 48.000kHz. Now when I select that option in iTunes 9 I'm getting a "The selected combination of bit rate and sample rate is not allowed." pop up screen. So is it impossible to burn my albums in a 320kbps/48.000 AAC format?. I had no problems in previous versions of iTunes using this setting. I guess I might have to switch over using a MP3 import setting instead.

Audio CDs are encoded with a sample rate of 44.1 kHz. Ripping them at 48 kHz requires resampling and does not improve the quality. Unless you have a special need for 48, use 44.1.

  • Multi Track settings (Sample Rate and Bit Rate)

I'm setting up my multi-track in 5.5 as 44100 16 bit, but when I create it...it's saying its 44100 32 bit (at the bottom of the multi-track).  Is there a way I can change this setting?  I've explored the preferences all day long and still can't find any answers.
    Thanks

I guess the answer to this question relies on someone having an external digital amp/decoder/processor that can display the source sample rate and bit depth during playback, together with some suitable 'demo' files.

  • OAB - difference between standard rate and variable rate

What is the difference between standard rates and variable rates

These Variable rates will take into effect only when you check the "uses variable rate" check box in standard rate right?
Yes, variable rates are evaluated only if this flag is selected.
You mentioned Standard Rate is the rate you attach to a benefit. Where do we attach?
You donot attach the rate to a benefit in a separate form. You select the compensation object you want to attach the rate to within the standard rates form.

  • Problem with ATV refresh rates and frame rates

I live in Australia and as such I am subject to PAL, so when I set my ATV up I set it to 720P 50Hz, when I purchased a TV season the episodes were running at 25fps and played back flawlessly with no dropped or added frames. My problem occurs when I download movies, all the movies I have bought are running at 24fps and suffer from quite noticeable jitter, almost like the 24th frame is duplicated and added as the 25th frame, I assume it is something like this as the pause happens every second.
So has anyone had a problem similar to this and if so what do you do about it?
Does the ATV playback all sources (24/25) smoothly even if it has to convert?
Could it be caused by my TV?
Any help to any of these questions would be great.
    Thanks.
    Tim.

With my particular Apple TV setup and TV combination, I find that setting to 1080p (60hZ) gives my the best all-round round results.
This does result in -slightly- jerky motion with 25fps material (especially old British TV shows), but it's bearable. It's particularly noticeable with sideways scrolling text and credits.
The one thing that is peculiar on my setup is if I use 720p (either @60hz or 50hz) and watch an iTunes-purchased HD episode that is encoded at 24fps I get very odd motion effects indeed. Every few seconds the video appears to speed up almost like it is 'catching up' with lost frames - very hard to explain exactly how it looks. Anyway I set to 1080p and this effect is gone completely. It also goes away if I set to 1080i. I think something queer is going on with 720p on the Apple TV (at least with my TV there is). This happens with both HDMI and component outputs.
It may be worth trying 1080i at either 50 or 60Hz if your set can't do 1080p.
I would also suggest that 60hz in theory should give a smoother motion for 24fps playback than 50Hz.
My basic problem with all this is that on even a cheap DVD player if a disk is 50Hz, the player switches to 50Hz output and if it is 60Hz, it will change to 60Hz. The Apple TV stays fixed. It's a shame it can't autoswitch refresh rates.

  • MyRIO memory, data transfer and clock rate

    Hi
I am trying to do some computations on a previously obtained file sampled at 100Msps using myRIO module. I have some doubts regarding the same. There are mainly two doubts, one regarding data transfer and other regarding clock rate.
    1. Currently, I access my file (size 50 MB) from my development computer hard drive in FPGA through DMA FIFO, taking one block consisting of around 5500 points at a time. I have been running the VI in emulation mode for the time being. I was able to transfer through DMA from host, but it is very slow (i can see each point being transferred!!). The timer connected in while loop in FPGA says 2 ticks for each loop, but the data transfer is taking long. There could be two reasons for this, one being that the serial cable used is the problem, the DMA happens fast but the update as seen to the user is slower, the second being that the timer is not recording the time for data trasfer. Which one could be the reason?
If I put the file in the myRIO module, I will have to compile it each and every time, but does it behave the same way as I did before with dev PC(will the DMA transfer be faster)? And here too, do I need to put the file in the USB stick? My MAX says that there is 293 MB of primary disk free space in the module. I am not able to see this space at all. If I put my file in this memory, will the data transfer be faster? That is, can I use any static memory in the board (>50MB) to put my file? or can I use any data transfer method other than FIFO? This forum (http://forums.ni.com/t5/Academic-Hardware-Products-ELVIS/myRIO-Compile-Error/td-p/2709721/highlight/... discusses this issue, but I would like to know the speed of the transfer too.
    2. The data in the file is sampled at 100Msps. The filter blocks inside FPGA ask to specify the FPGA clock rate and sampling rate, i created a 200MHz derived clock and mentioned the same, gave sampling rate as 100Msps, but the filter is giving zero results. Do these blocks work with derived clock rates? or is it the property of SCTL alone?
    Thanks a lot
    Arya

    Hi Sam
Thanks for the quick reply. I will keep the terminology in mind. I am trying analyse the data file (each of the 5500 samples corresponds to a single frame of data)  by doing some intensive signal processing algorithms on each frame, then average the results and disply it.
I tried putting the file on the RT target, both using a USB stick and using the RT target internal memory. I thought I will write back the delay time for each loop after the transfer has occured completely, to a text tile in the system. I ran the code my making an exe for both the USB stick and RT target internal memory methods; and compiling using the FPGA emulater in the dev PC VI. (A screenshot of the last method is attached, the same is used for both the other methods with minor modifications. )To my surprise, all three of them gave 13 ms as the delay. I certainly expect the transfer from RT internal memory faster than USB and the one from the dev PC to be the slowest. I will work more on the same and try to figure out why this is happening so.
When I transferred the data file (50MB) into the RT flash memory, the MAX shows 50MB decrease in the free physical memory but only 20MB decrease in the primary disk free space. Why is this so? Could you please tell me the differences between them? I did not get any useful online resources when I searched.
Meanwhile, the other doubt still persists, is it possible to run filter blocks with the derived clock rates? Can we specify clock rates like 200MHz and sampling rates like 100Msps in the filter configuration window? I tried, but obtained zero results.
    Thanks and regards
    Arya

  • What are the best data and bit rate setting for uploading from final cut express to Youtube?

Can anyone suggest the best data rate and bit rate presets for uploading footage from final cut express 4 to Youtube? What settings will provide the best resolution, quality, and match the current youtube requirements?
Thank you in advance for your help,
    Susan Kayne

It depends on whether you are using aspect ratios of 4:3 or 16:9.
Below is some simple guidance that will provide good quality with reasonably small file sizes.
The first part is for 4:3 video:-
    1. File>Export Using QT Conversion.
    2. The "Format" window should say, "QT Movie".
    3. In "Use" select "LAN/Intranet" from the dropdown menu.
    4. Click "Save" and when it has finished encoding, upload it to YouTube.
If you are making 16:9 video (Standard or High Definition) do steps 1 to 3 above.
Then when you have selected "LAN/Intranet" press the "Options" button and in the new
window that opens press the  "Size"  button and change the  "640x480" to  "853x480"
To do this you will have to click on the  640x480 and a dropdown menu appears.
Select "Custom" from  the bottom of the menu and in the window that opens
    you will see 2 boxes.
Put  853  in the first box and  480  in the second.
    Click OK.
    Then Save it.

  • Rebate rate and accrual rate

What is the difference between rebate rate and accrual rate in rebate agreements. One example wil be very helpful

    Accrual Rate:
You can enter an accrual rate manually in each condition record. The accrual rate should reflect, as accurately as possible, the rate at which the rebate will be calculated at final settlement.
Every time you process a rebate-relevant billing document (an invoice, a credit or debit memo), the system automatically posts an accrual to financial accounting (FI). Within FI, the rebate accrual is posted to two accounts: a sales deduction account and an accrual account. The accrual account is cleared when the rebate agreement is settled with a credit memo.
    Rebate Rate:
A price discount that a vendor grants a customer at a later time.
The amount of rebate depends on the invoiced sales that the customer achieves in a specified period and is defined using condition records.

  • Difference between Rebate rate and accrual rate

    Dear Experts,
Can you explain the difference between Rebate rate and accrual rate in rebate processing ?
If possible, give any example so that it would be easier to understand.
    Thnx in advance
    regards,
    Sagar

    Hi Sagar,
I also agree that rebate is an amount which is derived from either sales order or billing doc.
No it's not; only billing documents update rebate agreements.
... two terms i.e. Rebate rate and Accrual Rate maintained in condition records for rebate agreement.
Accrual Rate = The rate used to accrue the value (provision) before settlement takes place.
Rebate rate = The rate used to generate the real credit amount to the customer when settlement takes place.
Usually both rates are set the same but, because if scales are used in the rebate rate, then it is usual to manually set the accrual rate at the expected rebate rate based on the planned sales volume.
If I am not wrong, the condition technique it it the accrual rate which determined not the rebate rate.
Not correct; the condition technique is used to determine both rates in the rebate condition.
Also i tried to create scales for rebate, this can be done with rebate rate and not with accrual rate. Then what is its use.
Scales are used when the amount is paid on a variable rate depending on the total customer consumption. The idea is that the more the customer is purchasing, the more rebate he will receive, also on its previous purchases.
Accrual rate is fixed (no scale).
    Hope it helps.
