Reboot and video display with an R4850-512M [ Solved ]

I do not know if this is a problem with my video adapter, the MSI R4850-512M, or my video monitor, a Viewsonic VP950b. When I reboot an OS, the motherboard, the MSI K9A2 Platinum, correctly reboots. The video monitor shows a blue light when it is receiving a signal in normal operating mode and a red light when not receiving a signal. I have connected the video adapter to the video monitor using a DVI connection.
Upon reboot the video monitor's light goes from blue to red and I hear the beeps from the mobo as it reboots. It appears the mobo is successfully restarting but the video monitor's light often stays red and a "No Signal" message shows. I can usually get around this by quickly manually turning the monitor's power off and back on again, after which it picks up the signal from the video adapter, shows its blue light and the display screen. But I should not have to do this, and if I do not turn the monitor off and on quickly enough it completely loses the signal and never show the screen. Somehow the signal from the video adapter is not reaching the monitor on a reboot sequence.
Does anybody know how to determine what the problem is between the video adapter and the monitor ?
If I shut down the computer and then power it on, this never happens and the video monitor always picks up the connection from the video adapter as the system powers on, and the display is successfully shown.

The plug on the back of the monitor connecting the cord to the power supply was not in securely. Once I pushed it all the way in the monitor has worked properly. Thank goodness it was just that.

IPhone 6 will not sync music. This has become a problem since using itunes 12. It also will not sync all my pics and video's with my iPad 4 either. Removed and re-installed iTunes with no improvement.

Cant update video drivers on my dv6 3124er,often reboots, and also bsod with bugcode usb driver

i have native win7 enterprise on my 3124er
also i haven't made any changes in a native disk space (c - system, d - recovery)
when i trying to update videodriver (radeon 5650 mobility), it looks like normal installation, but driver has an old version
also, notebook gets very hot in a small period if a time, so i bought cooling stand, so i can play games
today i have a nice reboot when played battlefield 3, after a loading of new map
after this reboot, i started bf3 one more time, and after chrome opened battlelog - one more reboot
it's absolutely disgusting me
also, sometimes 3124 have an interesting trouble - all usb devices are stopping (i have usb mouse, audiocard and cooling stand) and after few mins i have a BSOD with BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER
also, when i watching flash videos in social network "http://vkontakte.ru", sometimes i have a bug like a blinking first frame of video mixed with green frame, that switching very fast. videobug on youtube like a previous, but there is a freeze of notebook, then display blinks and i have a inscription in tray "videodriver amd stopped to request and was rebooted" (dont know correct in english, so i writed a translation of russian text). after second try to watch something on youtube i got freeze and BSOD of atikmpag.sys. thank to God, there's not all the videos are not working, some of them i can watch

Hotmail and video/audio (with imac built in camera) compatible messenger

i am looking for a messenger compatible with the built in isight camera, audio and video, and it needs to work with a @hotmail.com account. it is just for at home personal use but i really like talking (verbally) with my friends while they can see me. Microsoft messenger and ichat both wont work.
i am looking at mercury messenger because i saw that in another forum people said it worked, but i want to know before i download something i might not use.

(1) I am not certain exactly what you are trying to do because hotmail is email. If you merely want to attach a video clip to an email, your iSight can do that without mercury.
(2) If you are looking for a video chat app that is compatible with the Windows Live chat server, consider the following:

Because Microsoft has apparently changed its protocols, the old Mac alternatives
(Microsoft Messenger for Mac, Mercury, and aMSN) will no longer connect for video.

Photo and Video display

Imagine an album of photos which can be viewed one by one using the arrow keys. Now imagine the same with some videos included; is there a convenient way to display them so that the videos also play? just like you would get if everything was put into PowerPoint?

You can add stills and videos to an iPhoto slideshow that's created with the "+" button at the bottom. However, you will have to manually set the slide timing for each slide because the stills and videos will have different playing times. If you add music that could mess up the playing time but you can try. Just make sure the playing time is as long as the total playing time of the videos and photos. I've done it on a limited test basis and it worked.
There's a 3rd party slideshow application that mixes them nicely, PhotoPresenter. Just set the slide timing for the photos and the movies play in their entirety. You can't use videos in the animated themes however. It's integrated with iPhoto and can be used in a the demo mode.

Audio and Video issue with Windows 8.1 upgrade on Ideapad n585

I upgraded my Ideapad N585 to Windows 8.1 the other day, took forever, but it made it through. Unfortunately, I now get boot erors for the Dolby software, and the AMD Vision/Catalysyt Control Center. Neither of these programs are able to start, from startup or even manually. They just won't run. Sound seems to come out fine still, but I do have video issues.
First off, my computer doesn't seem to recognize a HDtv as a monitor through the HDMI port. I still get an image, but it's set to current screen resolution instead of 1080i. I tried using the detect button to force it to look for a second monitor (my TV), but it showed nothing connected, though at the time I was using two screens. Now my monitor's screen resolution seems to be a little higher than my TV's, but it doesn't fit the screen properly, and will sometimes put a black border around the desktop, not using the full screen. I have also noticed, that when plugged into the tv, if a background program like a screen saver starts (and I am one of the few people who still use them, I like BOINC, sue me), it will reset the screen resolution to what it requires. When the program exits, the screen resolution stays, and that becomes the new max screen resolution until I restart the computer. So far, it only does this through the tv, if I run the laptop monitor alone, it doesn't happen.
I did try updating the software with what's available through the support site, but nothing happened. I even went as far as to use the Windows 9x~XP standbys of completely uninstalling, manually removing everything from the system registry I could find relating to these two programs, and then finally reinstalling the software. Giving the audio and video a complete clean slate to work from, and got no positive results. I restart the computer, Dolby and Catalyst won't boot, and blind to HDtv. Problems as described above still apply.
Anybody else have this issue? Anybody got a fix?

My computer updated to 8.1 without my wanting it to, I have the same problems as you. I installed the video driver because the brightness was locked on what I had it. (the bar would move but did not change)
I searched for brightness and n585 and I was able to find a driver, now brightness works but HDMI still does not. When I plug in the TV both screens go black with all 4 options in the "project" screen.

I unplugged the power cable with the hdmi cable plugged in. Hit (windows key+p) scrolled to duplicate and it worked.I plugged in the power cord back in and it still worked.

Why are photos and videos taken with my iPhone 6 not recognized in iPhoto?

My Mac and my iPhone 6 are both up to date but I still can't upload photos and videos to iPhoto from my iPhone 6. It gives me the message that they are in an unrecognizable format. I have restarted my Mac and tried selecting a few photos at a time to see if there were a couple that stalled the whole process but I get the error message every time. What can I do?

Does it happen with all pictures, or just those taken in low light? If its just low light what you are seeing is "noise" in the image, and there isn't much you can do about it. The resolution of the back camera is much higher than the resolution of the screen, so you should not see grain anywhere within the zoom range of the viewing screen - unless you took the picture using zoom. As the camera does not have optical zoom, when you zoom before snapping all you are doing is using less of the sensor, and that can result in a grainier image.

Is it possible to set primary and secondary display with 2 graphics cards?

I have an Early 2008 Mac Pro with two graphics cards and four monitors installed. Does anyone know how the computer (or more specifically Keynote) determines which is the primary display and which is the secondary?
Also is there any way to change the scheme?
What I am trying to do is switch the primary and secondary from the two monitors in my office to the monitor at the podium (would like it to become primary) and a vga projector (would like it to become secondary)
I bought the second graphics card so I wouldn't have to switch the cables back and forth three times a week. All the monitors work fine, it's just a matter of determining or changing primary/secondary

I got that far – The keynote manual says that the display with the menu bar is the primary display – that works out fine. The problem is that the manual says that the display without the menu bar is the secondary (or alternate). But there are three displays without the menu bar.
What I would like to find out is: is there a way to choose the display without the menu bar to be the alternate?
When I try various combinations, there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to which display is the alternate.

Why do all my photos and videos taken with my iPhone 4s transfer to my computer sideways or upside down??

I'm told it's a "compatibility issue", but that seems ridiculous and completely neglegent, I have to say. You would think they would have tackled this issue by now?
I transfer photos from my iphone to my PC, and the majority of them are sideways, some even upside down. The videos are almost all that way, as well. I used to just select the pictures, right click, and choose "rotate clockwise", but with the 4s that doesn't even work anymore.
So now I have to load each picture into a photo editor and rotate each picture individuallly. That just seems RIDICULOUS. I mean, really. And I've yet to come across a way to fix the videos.
I take pictures and videos with my iPhone for the convenience. But to make them usable, it takes a lot of extra work, which makes it NOT convenient anymore. (And it still doesn't fix the problem with the videos!)
I can't believe this is a problem Apple hasn't fixed yet.

The camera roll should be seen just like any other digital camera when connected to your computer. Anything else had to come from your computer to begin with and can not be transferred without purchasing 3rd party software or individually saving them to the camera roll, emailing them, or otherwise finding another way to transfer them.
You do have iTunes installed on the computer, right? The drivers required are included in the iTunes install package.

IChat audio and video hanging with no errors.

When trying to initiate an iChat video conference, a request never pops up for the receiver. However, when someone tries to initiate a video chat with me, the request pops up but when you accept it, it says starting Video Chat but it just hangs. I've turned off the firewall and turned off internet sharing with no luck. I did a package capture and found that all the checksums are zeros instead of what they normally should be. Any idea what could be causing this?

Hi,
Sounds like the issue is with your routing device.
The visible Invites are sent and received on port 5678 using the USP Protocol
If you Buddy is not getting is your router letting it through ?
It does sound Odd that you are getting Invites though as it would be unusual to Block Outgoing stuff and not Incoming stuff.
iChat 3 then moves to port 5060 (iChat 4 to port 16402) then uses a group of 4 from a list of 20 ports (16384-16403 for iChat 3) (iChat 4 stays just with port 16402)
It sounds like these are blocked or not open.
If they were open was it using Port Forwarding ?
If so does your computer have the IP the Ports point to ?

Podcasts and Video Issues With version 7.01.8

I had 7.0 but removed it and went back to version 6.04. When version 7.01.8 came out I went ahead and downloaded it and my first two songs I played started skipping again. The playback for my downloaded videos and podcasts still have the same problems in this version and 7.0 but not 6.04. The music is not in sync with any video and the music has too much static and erratic breaks. There is a raspy sound and distinct irregular sounds. My music library is playing fine now, though it started as if the problems weren't fix going from 7.0 to 7.01.8 but so far so good. I wish Apple would fix the video and podcast playback problems. I didn't have any problems with version 6.04 and I'm running a Dell Dimension 8200 with GeForce4 TI 4600 AGP Graphics Card. Anyone else have problems with podcast and videos with the this update?

Webcam Notebook reboot and bluescreen problems WITH SP2 !

I bought a Notebook webcam and I can see myself without problems BUT when i start recording it allways reboots OR I get a blue screen. Now I read that I have to install SP from Microsoft. My XP has SP2 already installed.
Now my question: How to fix that ?

Video display with Flex

Hi everyone, this is my first time here.
The first thing i want to say is "please, forgive my english,
present or future mistakes, i'll try my best to explain everything
i want to say"
Here is my problem: I encoded and deinterlaced videos in DV
codec using Adobe Premiere 6.0, then i encoded these videos in
Flash On2 VP6 Data rate 700 kbps and audio MP3 128 kbps (i tell you
all the informations i have =p ) using Flash 8 Video Encoder.
The thing is, when i play them with a player i found on the
net : FLV Player 1.3.3 the display is ok but when the file is
played with an application the society i work in developped, it's
like i never deinterlaced the video: moves = lines around the
characters (i call it brush effect).
Now i can recode the videos, deinterlace them a second time
with another software and it works but it's a loss of time and i'd
like to know if the problem comes from the flash player used in
Flex or if i should change Adobe Premiere. Has anybody encountered
this kind of problems and resolved it?

Streaming requires FMS, but you can use progressive HTTP
download instead.
Just point the VideoDisplay component to the .flv file on
your web server.
