Reboot/Shutdown Action isn't processing automatically

I've built a single action bundle that contains the Reboot/Shutdown task. When run, either automatic or via the launcher, it displays my prompt and all is well. If I click yes, the system shuts down and if I click no the system remains up and working fine.
The kicker, is if I let it count down fully to shutdown on its own, nothing happens. The system remains up without any errors logged in the Event Log nor the zmd-messages.log.
I've tried removing the prompt and the timer, the automatic shutdown still doesn't kick off on its own.
We're running 11.3.1 FTF Roll Up 1
Any suggestions?
Edit: Apologies, wandered into the wrong forum section.

Sorry about the mis-post, and thanks so much for the info.

An "FTF" is available via an SR.
It is expected to be fixed in 11.3.2 when it ships.

  • Photoshop CS5 - Action is not running automatically  while I trying to save PDF to JPG

My Problem in Photoshop CS5: Action is not running automatically while I trying to save PDF to JPG, in the batch process:
    Followed following steps:
    Opened PDF file
    Created new auction (F2)
    Flatten image
    Save as JPG
    Close file
    To Run Batch:
    Opened Batch dialogue box
    Selected set/action name
    Source: selected as “Folder”
    Directed location using “Choose” button
And no selected any check boxes under the “Choose” button
    Clicked “OK”
Now all the PDFs are opened one after another but not execute the selected action. Please help how to resolve for auto run.

What is part of the Action?
Could you please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels visible?
Have you tried using Image Processor or Image Processor Pro instead of Batch?

  • Actions - Time of Processing

    Hi CRM Gurus,
    I have 2 questions.
    1. In CRM config,(crmc_action_conf) , we have Time of Processing where we can tell when to process the action based on following options.
      1. Immediate processing.
      2. When Saving
      3. Process using Selection Report.
Here the selection Report means 'RSPPFPROCESS'  program? OR any other programs are there?
    2. If RSPPFPROCESS program process the actions , then that means all the actions configured in TIme of Processing option
must be selected as   'Process Using Selection Report', then only RSPPFPROCESS program will pickup OR
if I use the other 2 options : Immediate Processing OR When Saving , the program 'RSPPFPROCESS' will pickup if there are actions ready to process.
Why did SAP give the above 2 options(1 & 2) in the selection screen of the RSPPFPROCESS program?  Isn't the program should pickup only actions that are configured for 3 option(Process using selection report)?
    Pls clarify.
    Thanks,
    Pandu

    Hi Pandu,
The RSPPFPROCESS program, asyou might already know, is a monitoring tool to check for actions that were processed/incorrectly processed/not processed, from a central area.
In the event you want to execute, multiple actions at once or repeat them etc, you can do the same from here.
    as for your Q2
To an extent your question is understandable as to why the options.(but its like asking why "Son" and "Sun" are pronounced the same???)
It is understood that all the actions of type "Immediate Processing" or "Processing when Saving" would have already processed during the transaction creation & save respectively.
If you want to repeat any of these in bulk, the program is a good tool for that.
Plus, all those that result in an error or arent processed, of course can be reexecuted from here as well.
So, all 3 options have their purpose within here.
For the ones with Selection report, unless you want to manually go into the ACTION MONITOR and execute, each time, a batch job is used, which takes care of such actions.

  • Send email on reboot, shutdown and boot

Hi, I'm trying to setup my 10.4.11 machine (I have one that runs leopard and one that runs tiger) so that it sends a email on reboot, shutdown and boot. I have attempted to do so by placing a script that sends a email via the terminal mail command in /etc/rc.local for boot, /etc/rc.shutdown.local for shutdown and /etc/rc.reboot.local for reboot. The only problem is that when I reboot the shutdown script is executed instead of the reboot script and rc.local is never executed. My guess is that I need to use a launchd task for the boot email instead of rc.local but I'm not sure what Apple is using instead of rc.reboot.local ...any ideas? Thanks!

I have solved this problem by assuming that reboot and shutdown both rely on rc.shutdown.local as appears to be the case and thusly changing the title of the email to say that the server is shutting down -or- rebooting (which should become obvious as in the case of it rebooting a booting up email will follow shortly). I then copied rc.local to another location, ensured it had the executable bit set, and used Lingon to execute it on boot since rc.local does not seem to be working. Emails upon sleep and wake (machine set to sleep after one minute when switched to battery and acwake has been set to 1 via pmset so that when power resumes the machine automatically wakes up effectively turning the laptop battery into a UPS) are taken care of via sleepwatcher.

  • How to clear grey loading screen and animated gif (Dynamic Action with "Show Processing" on submit)

    APEX V4.2.3
    DB 11.2
I have a classic report on page 1.  I have a region button called "Export" (defined by a submit dynamic action with "show processing=Yes") that submits the page and then via a branch directs me to page 2 which has a slightly different version of the report on page 1 (i.e. no breaks) which I want to capture as a CSV export.  Therefore I've set the report template on page 2 to " Export:CSV".
Now when I click on the page 1 export button the grey screen and loading gif appears indicating that the report is executing and then as expected, page 2 doesn't appear but instead the standard open/save window's dialog box appears asking to open or save the generated CSV file.  All good..but the grey loading screen remains.  How do I clear this loading screen and get back to the context of page 1 ?
    thanks in advance
    PaulP

    Hi PPlatt,
We would love to help but you left out one crucial part of the puzzle: namely how does your CSV report get exported. With the way it is setup (a redirect to another page), I'm going to assume you do that because you have some PL/SQL on that page that prints the CSV.
Now there are two questions that are crucial here:
    - How do we stop the icon from bugging us on the screen
    - How do we communicate with the browser that it should no longer display the loading icon
The first question is rather easy, two simply lines of codes can do that:
    $('#apex_wait_popup').hide();
    $('#apex_wait_overlay').hide();
But when do we use this code? Quite simple when the document is downloaded. When is it downloaded? At the end of the PL/SQL code that prints the document to the browser.
    What you could do is at the end of that code give an application item a certain value. For example :AI_PRINTED := 'Y';
Then all you need to do is let the browser ask for the value. You could do this by using JavaScript to continuously fire AJAX to the server using a JS timing event:
    http://www.w3schools.com/js/js_timing.asp
Better would be a Server send event, but since you left out another crucial piece of information: your browser, I will not go deeper into this.
Start this timing event when someone asks for the document, and end it as soon as the process returns that :AI_PRINTED equals 'Y'.
Despite the lack of information, I hope I have given, or at least inspired you to get to the solution.
    Regards,
    Joni

    Oracle shutdown Problem
If the following message is in the Oracle alert file:
SHUTDOWN: waiting for detached processes to terminate
you should change the SERVER and SRVR parameters from SHARED to DEDICATED in the file <ORACLE_HOME>\network\ADMIN\tnsnames.ora.

  • Image Sequences and Batch Processing: Can opening files from different folders as image sequences be set up as an action for batch processing?

I have an ongoing series of tasks that necessitates opening the contents of a series of folders as image sequences.
I'm used to setting up some fairly complex actions, including ones that are intended to be applied to all of the contents of materials in various subfolders, but for some reason I cannot get an Open-with-Image-Sequence-Checked action to set up in a way that will batch process correctly.
Complicating matters is that the file prefixes (i.e., the letters before the sequential numbers) and the folders will always have different names from the last time the process had to be carried out.
The steps I would like the action to carry out would be the following:
    1. Open Subfolder 1 - that is, Photoshop shouldn't be looking for a specific folder. It's just *any* subfolder to the current parent folder.
    2. Select first file in sequenced set of files.
    3. Open as an image sequence.
    4. Open Subfolder 2.
    5. Select first file in sequenced set of files.
    6. Open as an image sequence.
...rinse and repeat until Photoshop runs out of subfolders to check.
    Am I asking the impossible?
    Thanks!

I'll look around there,  because I had posted something about this and was told to look here ps-scripts - Browse /Image Processor Pro/v3_0 at SourceForge.net
then this is the image here:
is the result I received.  Granted I'm new to using scripts and actions for image processing large amounts of files.

  • Start BPM process automatically

    Hi ALL,
I have created a BPM process. I can start that process automatically from nwa -> Process controll.
But I want to run the process automatically by a certain time interval. How can I do it.
    Can anybody help me.
    Thanks in advance
    Chandan

    Hi Chandan,
I am not 100% sure if I understood you correctly, but with BPMN there comes a model element named Intermediate Timer Event which can be configured in two different ways using:
an offset (e.g. 1 hour after the timer has been created)
    an expression  (e.g. ProcessContext.aDateOneEntered + 1 day)
Nevertheless this still requires you to start the process by yourself, but it 'waits' at the timer until the offset or the expression has been reached. Thereby you can achieve that an interval is taken into account upon execution of the process.
More information about events can be found in the documentation:

    Hope that helps,

  • IDOCS Error - Not getting processed automatically

    Hi All,
We are loading hierarchy for a Product from R/3 system using the standard datasource.
When we execute the info package, IDOCs are not getting processed automatically.
We are facing the below error message.
Error when updating Idocs in Business Information Warehouse
    Diagnosis
Errors have been reported in Business Information Warehouse during IDoc update:
No status record was passed to ALE by the applicat
    System Response
    Some IDocs have error status.
    Procedure
Check the IDocs in Business Information Warehouse . You do this using the extraction monitor.
    Error handling:
How you resolve the errors depends on the error message you get.
But when we goto BD87 and process the IDOCs manually, these are getting posted and the hierarchy is loading.
Can someone please guide me on what is the issue with the IDOCs and how to make them to post automatically.
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards,
    Sachin

    Hi,
This will happen due to Non-updated IDOCu2019s in the Source system i.e., occurs whenever LUWu2019s are not transferred from the source system to the destination system. If you look at RSMO of the status tab, the error message would appear like u201CtRFC Error in Source Systemu201D or u201CtRFC Error in Data Warehouseu201D or simply u201CtRFC Erroru201D depending on the system from where data is being extracted. Sometimes IDOC are also stuck on R/3 side as there were no processors available to process them. The solution for this Execute LUWu2019s manually. Go to the menu Environment -> Transact. RFC -> In the Source System from RSMO which will asks to login into the source system. The u201CStatus Textu201D for stucked LUWu2019s may be Transaction Recorded or Transaction waiting. Once you encounter this type of status Execute LUWu2019s manually using u201CF6u201D or Editexecute LUWu2019s(F6).Just keep on refreshing until you get the status u201CTransaction is executingu201D in the Production system. We can even see the stuck IDOCu2019c in Transaction BD87 also. Now the data will be pulled into the BW.
    Hope it helps a lot.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Kamesham

  • Idocs not processed automatically in BW

    Dear Experts,
I have a scenario here where I extract data from source system via process chains.
The source system job completed and in BW, the outbound idocs resulted in the following Status (02).
02  Error passing data to port 1
In the infopackage message dialog, I got the message as
Could not find code page for receiving system
Errors have been reported in Business Information Warehouse during the IDoc update:
In order to resolve this, I'm manually processing the idoc using program RBDAGAIN.
Note: This issue occurs only when I trigger the infopackage via process chains.
How do I rectify this error so that the idocs are processed automatically in BW?
    Br, Harish

    Hi,
how much time your ecc job takes to finish job.
Is this process chain newly created one or old one?
if its old one, any changes were applied on this process chain recently?
is it showing any idoc numbers at below status bar.
if yes then try to pull them by using t code BD87.
Can you share info pack error message screen shot.
    Thanks

  • SoapFaultCode:1  The [action] cannot be processed at the receiver.

    Hello,
I am testing an external (Java) webservice. For that matter I have created an ABAP client proxy in my system (Nertweaver 7.0, SP14).

    Hi,
i also faced the same error.
my function and webservice worlked well, but i still got the exception.
    someone solved the problem?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
i found a solution to solved my question, maybe helpful for you.
you can check the notes : Note 1361688 - Interop issue: SAP consumer calls 3rd party provider
To go around this issue, either you deactivate the WS-A protocol on the SAP consumer or turn on the WS-A
protocol support on the 3rd party provider. To deactivate WS-A protocol on the SAP system:
       1. Start the SOA Manager with TCODE soamanager,
       2. Search for the consumer proxy,
       3. display the proxy definitioin,
       4. Select the logical port,
       5. Choose the tab "Messaging",
       6. In the DropDown "Message ID Protocol" select "Suppress ID Transfer".

Make sure the service is deployed at your backend system and the endpoint is active. You can check this using the SOAMANAGER transaction, "Application and scenario communication"/"Single Service Administration", then search your service. It should be possible to test this service successfully in the Web Services Navigator. If so, there are most probably other problems. If the test fails however, ask your service administrator to set the endpoint active.
At least this was one of my problems using enterprise services...

    Uwe.

  • Using actions and batch processing to maximize compatibility on old psd files

My apologies if this has been answered -- in my search I saw that it was asked multiple times, but not answered.
My goal is to be able to import 5 years of PSD files into Lightroom that were originally saved with maximize compatibility turned off. These files are in shoot folders within year folders.
I have been trying to do this with an action and batch processing through Bridge (Tools>PS>Batch). After switching preferences to MC=always, I have tried an action with a Save command, but that doesn't switch the file to max compat on. Save As does, but it also fixes the destination of the save in the action to a specific folder. I want to be able to overwrite the existing PSD file, leaving it where it is.
Has anyone successfully tackled this issue? I know I can handle it folder by folder, with an action for each folder, but that just wouldn't be cool.
    Thank you

L Show - Yes, I found a way and did just that.
Everything as you wrote, using the save-as option. Yes, it will put the folder name into the action BUT it will override it when you run your batch from bridge IF you check in the box "override action save-as command" (and destination: save and close).
Works like a charm (although slow - not utilizing the multiple cores :( )
