Receipt reading in the mail

i like knowledge, is possible to obtain receipt of reading in app native “mail”?

Google "Apple mail read receipt".
But even that will not work unless your recipients have configured their e-mail programs to respond to them. In most email programs, if the option is even available at all, is turned off by default.

I am not sure how or when I changed the settings. I just noticed two days ago it began doing this.

Open Apple's Mail application. Go to the Mail menu and select Preferences. Select the General tab. Where it says Default Email Reader, select the Mail application rather than AOL.

How to track Delivery and Read Receipts, to update the e-mail status?

Hi,
I got bit confused, How can I came to know that my e-mail has been successfully sent or not without opening my inbox.
Am sending 50,000 mails per day by using java mail sending program, while sending I am enabled Delivery and Read receipt and I saved message-id in database and I got that receipt back to my inbox.
Then I am reading my Inbox using another java program based on message-id concept, And also I need to parse the body of the mail to update the reason if any message failed.
Here my Inbox received more than 1 lac mails per day as receipts. Because am sending 50,000 mails, So, I got 2 receipt mails for 1 mail, totally 50,000*2=1lac mails in Inbox. My problem is, my reading Inbox java program not able read all 1lac mails at one day. It just reading 5,000 mails per day. When my next day mail sending process started, again i am getting another 1 lac receipts.
Since I am not able to read and delete the receipts completely, mail counts in my inbox getting accumulated. So, I got stuck, How can I do this?
If anybody have any other ideas please share with me.
Already I surfed on net lot, but I can`t find solution for this concept.

step 2: Taking total inbox length using message.length
The message count is available via Folder.getMessageCount*().//ok I will try this one.*

That should be i < n, not i <= n. *//here I was wrongly specified, I used i<n only.*
step 5: In that mail body we are searching our own unique keyword(which we set for our unique mail reference)

In order to find the keyword, we are getting entire text/plain mail body using below method,

I think yes. The encoding is being corrupted somewhere, probably Exchange. There is nothing you can change on the iPad other than the OS languagel, to see if that helps. You can also tell Apple at

Try Mail/File/Export as PDF, open it in Preview, and see if you can print it from there.

Getting a delivered receipt...when the mail isn't even on the device??

I've got some BIS devices working well, having mail forwarded from an exchange server to their individual BIS mail accounts.
Every now and again, a user gets a messge on their Outlook account , saying ....
"this mail re;"whatever the subject is", has been delivered successfully to the recipient. Sent by my Blackberry"
Essentially its a delivery receipt for a mail yet the mail isn't even on the blackberry device to have been received anyway!!
Is there a filter or smething I need to put in? Could it be that he is being automatically Bcc' in mails and he doesnt know?

it is happening because the sender of those receipts is a BIS user as well and has their delivery receipts turned on, and as soon as their BB gets the message, ur user gets the receipt, chk this:

Try quitting the Mail app and reset your device. To quit an app double click the Home button to reveal the row of recently used apps. Flick up on the page preview and it will fly away and disappear. That quits the app. Then press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.

POP: yahoo, aol, comcast/time warnder/road runner
Imap: google, hotmail, and more including icloud.
If you want to use multiple devices - move to imap, I would even say "exchange", but Google does not support free exchange anymore, since January of that year. So Ironically Icloud or Hotmail would be my choices right now.

How can we identify the mails from the mails that have been read previousy

i m using java mail api to fetch the mails. but i am facing a problem that is every time i fetch all the mails in my application.
Is there any way by which i can set a flag or something so as to i can identify the mails which have been processed earliar.

How Do I get back the Read window in Mail in Lion? I don't want to click and open ea. email - too many

I have somehow done away with the window to read the email without clicking and opening - I cannot figure out where to go to put it back! I do not want to click to open and read ea. email - there is too many - I want the mail boxes and the preview pane - just missing that additional window to the right - please help if you know how to get it back.

When I open my mail app it shows that I have unread mail, so I click mark all read and carry on my business. About 2 seconds later all the mail I just marked comes back unread. This keeps happening, what can I do?

Everytime I get a new email, I open the mail app and mark it as read. Recently, whenever I receive emails I mark them all read yet 2 seconds later they are all marked unread. I again mark them all read and the same thing happens. I now have 95 emails from 2 weeks ago that I clearly marked read but they won't stay read. What can I do?

Go to your Gmail account in the browser.
Hit the folder icon that brings up the folder selection.
Scroll down to the bottom and select desktop version.
The broswer will refresh and bring up your gmail account as though you were looking on it on the computer.
The go to the upper right corner and select settings.
Then go to forwarding and pop/imap
Go look at pop download
There you'll find 3 numbered lines
Go to 1. Status
And select enable pop for all mail
Then save the settings
Once you have done that you can go back to BlackBerry device settings and sync your mail or wait for it to sync it's self.
Let me know how it works out.
I just did it and it sync within minutes.
