Receipt with Apple product

I'm about to purchase an iPad (preorder)
I wanted to know whether Apple will send me a physical receipt along with my order (shipped)
or will they just send the receipt via email?
I prefer one through the post to accompany my order.. is there away to go about having this arranged?

If you are buying your machine from an Apple retail store or an authorised re-seller you should receive a physical receipt with your purchase.
If you are buying from the on line Apple store you should receive a physical copy of your receipt with your purchase ... and a receipt by email.
If you want a duplicate receipt you will have to contact Apple with details of the Credit Card that you used so as to verify the purchase. Check this out for details of where to send your enquiry.

Wireless connection issue with Apple product

Hi, This is Daniel Jung here.
I got a very strange happening with apple product.
Recently, I created one more SSID assign with particular dynamic interface, the problem is only Apple mobile product is not able to join. but Android and laptop are working very well.
I also tried to find out some solution like enable fast SSID switching, turn off and on for mobile device, re-configuring interface and WLAN, checking error log but there was nothing.
For your information, our WLC model is AIR-CT5508-K9 with 7.3.112.0 version.
Could you share information & solution if any one has?

I'd like to try captive bypass function then look at the traffic flow to understand very well, however, it looks like required reboot the controller.
ours is not able to do rebooting process so that, only the choice will be I must search testing result by my self... if you have a result from your lab, could you share with me?

The drive as a whole can’t be read on a PC without installing software such as MacDrive on it.
The answer varies for individual document files; some file formats can be read by Windows software, while others can't.

But in a pinch a LinkSys E2500 will work, as it does for me.

My wife and I each have iPhone v4s
We have an AppleTV version 1 and an AppleTV version 2
iPad 2
NAS in the closet with iTunes server (which we don't utilize)
iTunes installed on the desktop in our office on a computer that we share. We each have our own user account.
Media:
Ripped 1000s of cd's to itunes on my account
Music bought on wife iPhone, sync'd to her library
Music bought on my iPhone, sync'd to my library
Redeemed music on my iPhone, sync'd to my library
Digital copies of movies from DVD packs in my library
Purchased movies and TV shows on AppleTV version 1 sync'd to wife library
Multiple apps that have been purchased, each different on each of the different iOS devices

My wife wants to have ALL of the ripped music and movies in her account. How do I set this up so I don't have tons of duplicate files and have to manage importing new rips to multiple libraries?
To have the Apple TVs work, we need to be logged in to wife's account and have her iTunes running. If I dock my iPhone on that computer, then it tries to sync to her account. If I turn off her iTunes, then the TVs don't work. How do I set this up so we don't have to worry about who's iTunes is running to watch AppleTV and to sync our iProducts?

It is not possible to use any D-Link product in an Apple WDS, since none of D-Link's products support Apple's implementation of a WDS.
If you are in the market to buy a non Apple wireless router, get a Linksys WRT54G or WRT54GS - these two models do support Apple's WDS. Use that router as your network's "base station", and use the Airport Express to wirelessly extend the range of its network.
If all you want to do is extend the range of an existing Airport Express that you do not want to replace by a non-Apple wireless router, I recommend you spend the money to buy a second Airport Express.

If you cant read what I've written above then your system is just pathetic. At my age, I don't need to be instructed on "how to write a good question". Why must a brief detailed technical question be summarized? Why cant I do the supposedly simple task of downloading "all" of my photos from my 64g iPhone 5s onto my Dell Latitude E6410 laptop in one simple press of the button process? Instead my Laptop is always trying to download mega gigabytes of all my laptop photos onto my iPhone. I am now totally convinced that the Apple Corporation has implemented a scheme trying to "force" me, and every other Apple customer, to buy more iCloud storage instead of allowing us the cheaper option of storing our own photos on our own lap tops and our own external hard drives. If this is the case then Apples tactics are back-firing, and I for one, will never buy another complicated, user-unfriendly, rotten capitalistic Apple product again. If there is a simple way of downloading all of my photos onto my laptop in one simple move then why cant it "simply" show you how to do it, like all the other companies smart phones do? From one **** of an irate customer. K.I.S.S. or lose customers. Don't try to rip us off financially, with devious money making schemes, the general public will respond accordingly and you WILL lose market share.

Or whats wrong with the FREE photo stream conduit that over air transfers images to your pc pictures folder (And you don't need to buy any extra storage ever) the images just transfer !
Also what is so difficult with plugging in to a USB socket and having images automatically uploaded/downloaded into your Pictures folder ?
Unless of course your PC USB is a slow 1.1 socket !
True the sync process is all encompassing rather then delta but it does mean true syncing

Problem with Apple products

I tried sending this in Apple's feedback section and there wasn't enough space.
This is a personal comment about Apple product, but i believe other will connect with it.
i didnt know where else to put it.
Firstly I am and have been an avid believer of apple products for many years but after having to replace my broken MacBook pro problems within Apple products have come to light. I have lost faith completely with Apple and all it products. I feel my argument is justified and will be understood by many consumers.
Apples ferocity in upgrading and renewing how their systems work used to be admirable, you could rely on Apple to create a better product that understood its client’s needs. Now all I see is the constant changes with each model released as being a desperate ploy to make more money and sucker consumers into buying Apple Products.
I could simply be raising an issue in our current consumer society, this blind need for the biggest brands and products running our lives. I to, like most, give in to the capitalist marketing scheme, that if I buy that particular product that has been advertised on every billboard and TV advert, my live will be better. I honestly believe that this system is corrupt, yet we all still buy in to it.
I have just replaced my 2009 MacBook Pro 13inch with a brand new 2013 MacBook Pro 13inch. The first issue which is personal to me is the disappearance of the CD drive and Ethernet port. Secondly myself along with a number of others have had a long standing hate with Macs only having two USB ports thankfully they were next to each other. Now with my new MacBook Pro USB ports are on either side of the computer which creates an impossible obstacle when trying to plug in a device that needs two USB ports to power it. These are minor annoyances that can be resolved with the help of more money.
Thirdly Apple is known for doing this, changing the power plug and outlet with each new model. Firstly the new iPhones and now with MacBook’s. It makes everyone’s life that much harder when power cord cost up to $120, how hard is it to have one reliable design that can be used throughout each model.
I question Apples design skills as with every model the basics keep changing, Apple in the past had already perfected, them they are now just finding new ways to profit. Their need to keep making smaller models has meant that many people will now have to go out and spend more money when it should've been included to begin with.
I understand that Apple as a company stays wealthy off the money of its consumers and I could make the same arguments with most companies, I don't understand how Apple can be so knowingly obtuse with how they treat their products.
I am no way fully educated on Apple products, my complaints come from mine and others observations using the apple products, but I feel compelled to put this opinion forward.

It looks like something is wrong with 'Textual 5'. It's using a lot of memory and a lot of CPU and is generating a lot of diagnostic reports. Use the search facility in Console.app to search for 'Textual' and paste a sample of what comes up here.
Also, I suggest you get rid of 'iStatMenus' using the uninstaller from the developer's site.

P.S. Many people will tell you that 4GB is not enough RAM, and maybe they are correct. But, I have been running OS X 10.10.3 with 4GB RAM (instead of my normal 16GB) on a low-end 2009 iMac for about a week and it has been absolutely fine for what I would call 'office work'. I haven't been editing videos or Photoshopping high-def pictures, but I've been using and switching between MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Mail, Safari, Preview, Intaglio, TextWrangler, Terminal, CyberDuck and various other things all open at the same time while playing music on iTunes with absolutely no issues.

Network issues with Apple products?

I've got a weird issue with my Apple products connecting to certain networks. Two different instances:
1) My parents house, my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Pro all have issues in contacting certain sites and apps. Things from google or apple servers wont work. Some things do, if I VPN to an outside network, everything works perfectly fine. I haven't been able to figure out what the root of the issue is. I've switched routers and contacted the network provider but they said it wasn't there fault. This has been going on for a bit. All non-Apple products seem to be fine.
2) My office, I know even less details about the network here, but I'm having a similar issue where my Apple devices get connectivity for a bit then stop and then come back later. If I VPN again, everything works perfectly fine. All non-Apple products work fine.
Anyone have any idea as to what this could be from?

I am having the same problem since upgrading to Snow Leopard. Really need an update from Apple or a solution. Been reading a lot of posts on several discussion boards but nobody has come up with a solution yet. Apple really needs to send us a fix for this. I understand it is also hapenning in Lion.

Airport express not working with apple products

We have been trying to get airport express to work with a macbook pro, ipad2, iphone, laptop, htc wildfire - havent even tried the air music or printer yet!
We have a green light on the airport express which is connected to an ntl cable modem(virgin media network).
Currently the only thing that will connecy is the laptop and my htc phone. All the apple products will not connect?
We went to the apple store today and it worked grand when it was plugged in - the apple products all worked.
The network comes up on ipad2 but when you press connect it says 'unable to connect'

I have the same issue. Mine fixed itself for a bit and now it's broken again. I'm thinking it's going to be intermittently broken. I've tried turning both devices off and on again but that did not help.

HELP! eMac leopard with apple production suite.

I have an apple emac running leopard 10.5.8. I bought Apple product suite with Final Cut pro HD motion and DVD studio pro 3. I have asked this questing about final cut express. But i need to know if this will work on my system. My specs are 512mb of ram 1.42ghz powerPc g4 and 80gb hard drive. Please let me know if this will work on my system. I know it is no problem with it being a g4 because this software was introduced at the time of g4. Please let me know. I am asking this to see if it will run on 10.5 on the eMac,

Final Cut Pro HD was version 4.5 (the ONLY version of FCP released with "HD" as part of the name). FCP 4.5 works best with OS 10.3.9 and QuickTime 6.5.2. You may and probably will encounter problems with the set up you describe.

Can someone help me to set up a custom footer on my iMac. Currently using home/student 2010 and it does not offer a custom option. Will I need to purchase Microsoft business or would I be wasting my money. I went to the apple store for guidance and they informed me they could not help me with the microsoft products. To my surprise although apple has a version of microsoft, it is not a full version. I did not purchase the apple word, excel, powerpoint and such to avoid problems sending letters and such to pc users. Does anyone have advice or experience enough to let me know what issues may arise out of either choice.
