Received emails being marked as read when they are unread!
Since downloading the ios7 update on my iphone 5s I have had an issue with my emails. I have two accounts (both yahoo) linked my phone which I use for business. Therefore receiving emails is of the utmost importance. Basically what happens is this. I will receive a tone to say I have an incoming email. When I look at the home screen it may show as an example that I have 2. However, when I click into the email icon on the home screen to read the incoming mail it shows many more received earlier that I was notified if and they are shown as read. I spoke to apple about this several weeks ago and they advised me to reset my phone, which I did. It fixed the problem but now several weeks later it has come back. Can anyone help as apple have no clue as to how this happening. It is getting to the point where I am losing business as clients email me to say they sent a mail several days previously which clearly I have missed. I don't have this problem with my ipad - the emails are working perfect on that.
Sounds like you both have the same messed up add on. Try restarting Thunderbird with the add ons disabled and see if things go back to normal.
You can do this from the Help Menu.

I don't know if it will work, but try rebuilding the mailbox. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.

I just got my new iPhone4 set up today and it has pulled in every email that is in my desk top as being unread. Yet I have read all the emails. Still the iPhone thinks they are unread. Does anyone know how I can delete all of these emails at one time from the phone?
I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

Email messages in mailbox marked as read when they arrive on Blackberry
We are using Outlook Exchange 2007; from yesterday when I added a new email address it is marking messages in the mailbox as read when they arrive on Blackberry 8520 Curve. Can't for the life of me find the setting to change it and am losing the will to live! Any help appreciated.

I am using office 2010 on a windows 7 PC. In outlook I have changed the settings for the reading pane so that emails are not marked as read unless I actually open them. This is working for emails in my inbox and outbox but not for emails in public
folders. Emails in public folders are marked as read as soon as I click on them. Do public folders have a different setting for marking email as read in the reading pane?
It is important for me that emails in the public folders are not marked as read when i click on them as I need to read through hundreds of project emails in these folders and need to be able to distinguish between emails I have read and actioned
and emails I have just clicked on while searching for an email I need. This folder serves as an archive for my emails so i cant delete them once I have read them. I also don't have permission to label them or create tasks from them.Hi,
I tested in my lab, it worked for public folders. My Outlook version is Outlook 2013.
Please open Outlook in safe mode to check result.
If possible, please check if this issue persists from a different client server.

Emails being marked as read on Z10
I have a major issue on my blackberry Z10. emails are marked as read even though i have not read them.
I have seen another post where users have an issue with mails being downloaded on Outlook. I thought my issue was similar and hence spent an entire day without launching outlook. nevertheless emails continue to be marked as read.
if i have received 10 emails, i go into 1 to read it, but when i come back into the hub, the other 9 emails are marked as read as well.
however, once i re-mark the emails as unread they stay marked unread. but this has to be done manually.
nonetheless, this is a very frustrating process for someone who uses unread emails as a tool to follow-up on tasks.
BTW: i am using version 10.0.10.82 now and have regularly updated the OS, but faced the same issue for 3 months.Hey kabsl,

All incoming emails being marked as 'read' on my Droid x
All incoming emails to my pop3 or imap accounts are being automatically marked as 'Read'.
Any fix for this issue?
If I have outlook open, which is running exchange client Outlook 2007, and my Droid is running imap or pop3, messages being delivered are being displayed as READ.
I have tried closing outlook, and then downloading emails to my droid without reading any of the 80 unread emails - then turning off my Droid....Followed by opening Outlook, but the messages show up in outlook as being READ.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.Have you installed any apps that auto display the emails when they come in? If so the auto read feature may be triggering this, I had a app at one time that showed my emails in the preview window and it made the emails be listed as read... I would check your apps and make sure you are not using something like this unknowingly.

Unread emails being marked as read
I have noticed a strange occurrence on mu ipad mini which I haven't seen before.
My emails are set to download manually and not be pushed.
When I go into my account and download any emails they download fine and are marked unread. If I were to switch come out of the email program without reading any and go back in they are sitting there still unread. All good so far. If however I were to pull the column down to refresh (to see if there are any other email) and there is another mail/mails, the emails are downloaded and all the other unread mails unread markers disappear as if they are read.Hey kabsl,

Why are my emails being marked as read automatically?
I recently changed from iPhone 4 to 5; I never experienced any email issues with the iphone4. Now my emails on iphone5 ;same account etc) are sometimes marked as read before I view them. This happens every night over night without fail, and invariable happens during the day too (although not always- I can't yet see any pattern in this). It's extremely frustrating as I could rely on looking at my lock screen on iphone4 to see my recent unread emails; and I now cannot rely on this (and there's normally nothing there as its all marked as read in my inbox, before I've seen it! Then I have to check through each message to make sure I haven't missed something).
There are no other devices running to access this inbox; it is set up on my home laptop through outlook (as it was with iphone4); but this is only switched on about once a week just to download the messages.

Mail.app marks messages as read when they are downloaded
I'm using mail to pop my messages from an exchange server, and the messages are being left on the server, but marked as read. I want them to be left as unread - is there any way to do this?
Most recent version of Mail and Snow Leopard.

Everything is being marked "Low Res" when they're not
I have a bunch of photos and have used them as desktop pictures, sent them to fm, emailed them, etc. All was well. Then one day my iPhoto marked most all of my pics as f-1006 or low res. When I go into the System Folder to Desktop Appearance, and I click a pic, a question mark shows up in the screen preview window, and instead of the pic immediately going to my desktop, the standard Mac screen remains.
This was not always the case. Pics from my cell phone used to work great-no longer. Pics from dvd's used to work great-they were/are pictures! Pictures that used to import/export used as screensavers, and desktop images no longer work. Or they might work every once in a while???
Anyone have an idea what's going on with my iPhoto and how I might fix it?

It shows in a book when the image resolution of the photo is below 180 dpi for the frame it's been placed in on the page. If that's the case what are the pixel dimensions of the photos that give this warning indicatior?
Or is it this?
This shows on all photos if you put the cursor over the thumbnail. If you click on it the photo will flip up the location/description window for it.

Emails marked as read when sent to Blackberry Torch 9850
I'm having an issue with emails being marked as read in my work Outlook Inbox as soon as they are sent to my Torch 9850, even though I have not opened the email on my phone or on my PC.
We use Exchange Server 2010.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so, is there a setting change or workaround to this issue? I've turned off reconcilliation for now.
