Received message 'repair window erroes' is it reliable?
I have received this message with a firefox address which says 'repair window erroes' and 2 updates available. Big flashing messages. But I update every day so is this reliable or a scam?
i think it is a scam because it comes with competitions to enter.
Please advise what to do. If it is a scam, how to prevent it happening.
I use microsoft security and malawarebytes Anti Malware free
Is there anything more I should do because I am regularly getting rid of 1000 detected sites on malaware?

this is the fix:
-Launch Control Panel - Double click Quicktime, If you do not see quicktime, look on the top left side of control panel and switch to classic view. This will then allow you to see Quicktime.

I to am having the same issue. I have a admin account and logged into it as well and still have the same message pop up. Contacted live support the woman i spoke with had to send it up higher. We went through every thing including her trying (taking over as a host on my laptop) still have not bee contacted this June will be a year that i have heard nothing from them sine She di everything she could and pushed it up higher.

I can't get new version of itunes to install on Windows 7 64 bit computer. Receive message that reads insufficient privileges to access c:\program files\ipod\bin. I've followed several threads I've read here but nothing is working.
For such situation, I'd suggest the following:
1. Remove current installed office with the fix-it tool in
KB2739501, and follow the "Remove Office manually" section to make sure there are no remaining files
2. Either download a trial version of Office 2013 from
http://office.microsoft.com/, or from
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/jj937170
3. Reboot your computer in clean boot mode, and run setup again

I received message iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (windows error 127).
Now I can't open iTunes and can't find previous version to reinstall . This is on my old computer with Windows XP.

I re-send a mail with 3 pdf attachmets to an outlook account and the attachments do not arrive to the receiver, if the receiver is a Windows PC. If the receiver is an iPhone the attachments can be accessed til the moment Unload the full message is pushed

Mail 4.5 problems: no message viewer window, issues sending/receiving
Hi all,
I recently re-installed Snow Leopard on my mid-2010 MacMini. I ran all updates and am currently using 10.6.8 with Mail 4.5 (1048). This morning I tried opening Mail from the dock and it simply would not open. The menu bar for Mail does appear at the top of the screen, so I clicked on Window-->Message Viewer and was able to pull up the usual Mail window. Mail, however, is still not functioning. This happened recently with my previous installation of 10.6, hence the reason I reinstalled the OS.
In summary, here are the current issues with Mail:
I can receive messages, but I cannot send them.
The usual Mail window does not open when I open Mail
I cannot quit Mail, I have to force quit
Mail has not 'crashed' yet, so I haven't received any error reports/crash reports ect...
I have done everything from resetting the PRAM to moving the com.apple.mail.plist file to my desktop and re-opening Mail, nothing has worked. This is the second time this has occured, on the second fresh installation of 10.6.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I opened console, cleared the display and re-opened Mail. Upon opening I noticed this in console:
Mail[329] *** -[NSCFString substringFromIndex:]: Range or index out of bounds
After researching this for a bit, I decided to remove one exchange account from iCal, that didn'twork. So, I removed the second of my two iCal Exchange accounts. Then I reopened Mail and voilá. Although this got my mail working, it really isn't a solution. I would LOVE to be able to use both Mail AND iCal... -
Every time I try to access my emails on microsoft outlook I get a message from windows that mobileme services have stopped working. windows then tries to find a solution and says mobileme is not installed correctly. When I try to repair or uninstall via the control panel my pc cannot find the route????? I do have an iphone and ipad. What can I do?

So you are saying it works ok as long as you avoid certain pages such as this Forum. That makes me wonder if it could be malware that is blocking access to assistance.Run malwarescans with multipe and up-to-date tools.

sorry for my english!Hey, I have had my intunes soley shut down my computer numerous times, for the past month or so. I realize now it is only within my itunes, but it may not only be itunes. My desktop and a lot of cashed info have been cleared now, as a result of a ton of restarts by completely shutting the power most likely.
I have been too lazy to back up my music because it messes stuff up, and goes so slow it crashes. it will probably work better if I dont even touch itunes and just transfer small parts of my library at a time, not all 120+ gb!
I think a my computer is
a fried
b my files are terribly corrupted
c or my itunes is compromised
either way, i will back up my music, but what do you think the chances are my music is the culprate, and by backing it up I will have the same problem in the future?
i've been thinking re-installing itunes would be best

Using windows 8 - receive message "ipod detected but cannot be identified properly" when connecting ipod nano 7th gen. Have unisntalled and reinstalled itunes from apple site as advised with no luck. Has anyone else had this problem and resolved it please?

I received the new update from Itunes and after installing, I couldnt get into my Itunes. I get a message from Windows saying that an MC file is missing and to reinstall I tunes. I have reinstalled 3 times, the first time I didn't remove the old version, I installed the update over it. Next I tried the repair function under Control Panel. After that, I uninstalled Itunes and reinstalled again from the website. I still get the same message about missing files from Windows.

Mail stops receiving messages after a period of time
Every since installing Mavericks my Mail app stops receiving messages after a period of time. I know because I get the email on my phone, but I try to grab them in Mail and nothing. If I restart Mail then they come through.
I'm using Gmail as my email provider. Is anyone else suffering with this? Is there a work around?Workaround or not, this is an annoyance, and that's a nice way of putting it. Coming from Mountain Lion, when Mail was working flawlessly, having to deal with this issue is just plain ridiculous. What happened to the Mail application? I don't understand how Apple could screw this up to badly.
Every time I restart or reset the connection to the servers, the Mail app is downloading thousands of messages (I can see the display on the bottom-left). I have no idea what it's doing or why, for that matter. If Apple doesn't fix this soon, I will seriously be forced to look for an alternative, which saddens me greatly. I really like Mail, but if it cannot reliably get my mail simply because I've left it open too long, or hidden it behind another window, I will stop using it.
What's worse is that I've had similar issues with other applications like iPhoto and iTunes. Whatever is happening to Mail is probably not just application-specific. It's probably OS-specific. I hope Apple is working on it and that we will see a major update to Mavericks soon. All I know is that, right now, I'm seriously regretting upgrading to Mavericks.
