Received notice from Apple to upgrade iTunes on my Dell PC running windows 7 Ultra. Update failed numerous times with error message R6034 Microsoft visual C error. Apple instructions to remove itunes and reinstall. Reinstall failed (same Err). HELP!
Received notice from Apple to upgrade iTunes with 11.1.4 on my Dell PC running Win 7 Ultra.During upgrade got error message R6034 several tries (app's attempt to load C runtime library incorrectly in Visual C + + runtime library). Apple's suggestion to uninstall iTunes and reinstall with ver. 11.1.4. Tried that, it failed too. Now have no iTunes, think I have lost all saved podcasts and music, and get no help from Apple. What to do?

I upgraded iTunes and now my songs sound horrible - help!
I was prompted a couple of times to upgrade the version of iTunes that I have on my computer - I upgraded at least twice (if not three times). Recently I tried listening to some of my music from my computer by selecting songs from my iTunes library and the songs sounded horrible - the songs sounded like I was listening to a scratched up CD, but I know that isn't the problem because the CDs are fine and the songs on my iPod (which were never updated after I updated the version of iTunes) are fine. What's the problem and what can I do to fix this? Thanks!
have you tried working through the suggestions from the following document?
iTunes and QuickTime for Windows: Songs and other audio don't play correctly -

I have windows 7 64 bit but the new itunes will not install because it can't find itunes64.msi. I have searched evertwhere on my pc. In addition, I can't uninstall the itunes and reinstall for the same reason. I can't upgrade for my icloud account.
Try the following steps:
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components
3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch -
after I download Itunes, when trying to sync Ipod, message says "needs newer version of mobile support, uninstall Itunes, and reinstall Itunes, and the same process starts all over again. why is that?
Try removing and then reinstalling the Apple software using these instructions.
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
The above containes a link for XP. Also. make sure you install the correct Apple software, It comes in 32 and 64 bit and you need the one that is the same as the computer OS -
I have a new machine with a previous installation of Itunes, linked to another Apple ID. Even I authorized the machine to my Apple ID, I can not connect to the Apple Store. I tried removing Itunes and reinstalling it, but anything changed. I still can not connecto to the Store.
My previous machine has Itunes Installed, and I deauthorized the machine so I unlinked to my Apple ID, if this is correct.
Anyway, Dropbox is also not connecting....so I do not know how to make it woek. please help!I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option? -
I upgraded to 11.1.14.62 this morning. Not iTunes is saying "An iPod had been detected but could not be identified properly". I unlugged/replugged in. I reset the iPod, I removed iTunes and reinstalled. I'ver tried three different cables.
When I put the iPod in disk mode it shows up briefly as a disk then goes away.
Any ideas?Hi there - I've spoken with Apple and here is their response (worked for me). You need to uninstall not only iTunes, but also (in this order):
1) iTunes
2) Apple Software Update
3) Apple Mobile Device Support
4) Bonjour
5) Apple Application Support
Then you restart your computer.
Then you install the latest version of iTunes (which will reinstall all those things you uninstalled).
Then you restart your computer again.
Mine is working perfectly again now.
I hope it works for you,
Carmen. -

Update 12.1 installed with Error 7 (Windows error 126). Reinstalled. Same error message. Uninstalled all Apple products. Reinstalled iTunes 12.1. Same error message. Updated to 12.1.1. Same error message. Uninstalled everything. Reinstalled 12.1.1. Same error message. iTunes runs and plays my music, but the error message remains. It doesn't hinder my music playing, but it is annoying. And, this is all done on my work computer. I have not unpdated iTunes on my home laptop, cause I don't want to have to deal with this error message.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

When I try to back up my Iphone, I get a message that My Iphone can not be backed up on my computer. My computer is authorized and I have been successful with this in the past. I uninstalled Itunes and reinstalled the lastest version and the same problem occurs.
If you are running Tiger, you don't have time machine.
You need to get something like SuperDuper! or Carbon Copy Cloner (sorry, I don't have a handy link for CCC but you can Google it to get their site) to make a clone of your drive on the external and then do incremental backups. The free versions do a lot and you can upgrade to the full-service versions for small change if you need more. The one time I used SuperDuper! for cloning a volume it worked just fine.
(My backup application is the last PPC capable version of Retrospect, which does a credible job, or has over the past ten-twelve years.) -
hi, my itunes will not work. I get a message saying it is out of date. But I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes and I get the same message?
When uninstalling iTunes on your windows computer, there is a specific way it must be done in order to completely uninstall all components of the software. Ensure you follow the article for your correct OS.
Did you do this when uninstalling??
Windows XP - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925.
Windows Vista or Windows 7 - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923. -
Please help! Itunes fails to open on my macbook pro. I have removed itunes and reinstalled it and it still will not work!
Try removing the Genius database. In the "Finder" go to the /username/Music/iTunes/ folder and delete the "iTunes Library Genius.itdb" file. This may allow the program to launch again. This file will be recreated upon first use of the "Genius" feature.

How do I put my iPhone stored items into my iCloud storage?i have bought an upgrade but none of my phones stored items have moved to iCloud.i can't download new update from apple. due to not enough and yet iCloud space is empty??please help I don't know what I doing all I know is my phone is iPhone 4 and I can't update it. My phone on contract with t-mobile . Thanks
You can't have content in iCloud without having it on your phone, you will need to look at deleting items from your device that you don't need. Movies and TV shows from iTunes are possibly a good start because they tend to be large and can be redownloaded at a later date.
