Receiver RFC displays data as #

Hello Experts,
We have a scenario JMS ->PI->RFC.
PI is Unicode system with charecter size 2 where as R3 is a ECC 6 non unicode system with charecter size one.
I guess due to this the error occurs while data conversion and # is diplayed; as RFC destination has default setting i.e. "Ignore Error, Error Indicator: '#' = U+0023"
Please suggest how can I overcome this problem?
I have tried option for changing the encoding using XSLT as mentioned in :
encoding problems XI. 3.0
But it was of no help.

Thanks for inputs. I have changed the encoding in XSLT back to UTF-8, set logon Language to "DA" as the input can contain Danish Characters.
But still it is same, I do get # on receiving side.
I tried to remove XSLT and assign the Constant (actual payload which is a XML again) using a dummy Message mapping and it works fine. Data is received well on receiver system. But as soon as i try to map actual contents from JMS I get this #.
Can it be due to XSLT mapping used?

Also I tried to use Message mapping to replace the XSLT, but as the input coming in payload is a XML, when I assign it to string field it says
com.sap.aii.mappingtool.tf3.IllegalInstanceException: Cannot produce target element /ns1:HDK083_REFUS_RECVDOCU/P_XML_DOCUMENT. Check xml instance is valid for source xsd and target-field mapping fulfills requirements of target xsd
Also i tried to use new feature of PI 7.1 "Return as XML" where we can assign a complete XML to single field, but still it fails in mapping with exception

Health App not working (receiving/retaining/displaying) data.

Hi,
I am using MyFitnessPal and MapMyRun or Strava to send data to the Health App.
The data was not going to the Health App when I looked.
I found that when I did a hard reset yesterday the data appeared.
It was gone in the morning however.
After trying another hard reset the data has NOT re-appeared.
Is my data lost?
Is there a bug here?
Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi I am using MyFitnessPal and Strava, I have noticed this very same problem, There is another thread looking into this, with a suggestion that a hard reset may correct it. In my experience that didn't work.
From what I can tell the data , ie Steps , flight climbed is still logged and available as I have noticed mine coming and going over the past few days. (almost as things a written to Health App).
I think it is going to require a software update to fix, either Apple or the App causing the problem.

Problems Displaying data from RFC on Adobe Forms

Hi,
I have some Problems with creating an Adobe Form and hope, someone can help me or give me some hinds to some tutorials, which can help me.
I'm developing an webdynpro-application which get data from a R/3 via RFC-Call.
Context-Binding and so on is done and works. I created also an interactive form and can display some datas on it.
Here my questions:
I have an field 'unit' which shoulb be displayed on several positions onto the form. My problem is, i can display it only once. If i copy the field, there is no output in it. What can i do, to solve the problem?
From the RFC i get a table with several rows of data, i want to display on the form.
With drag&drop i can place the fields onto the form but they are displayed only once. I want one line for every row from the table.
What do i have to do? Are there tutorials which show the steps?
When I am not using a form, i can display the data from RFC in a table with no problems (i create a table ui and choose create binding from context menue). Are the nescessary steps for displaying the data on an interactive form the same.
I read something about creating a dynamic form design. Do i have to create it? What are the steps i have to do.
Many questions, but i hope that someone can give me some helpful hints.

Hi Mathias,
If I caught you correctly, you want to display data in Adobe forms in form of tabel, right?
So, follow the steps:
1. Insert one sub form on your adobe form.
2. Set its type as "flow content" in object->subform property.
3. Set flow direction as "Table".
4. Insert another subform inside this subform.
5. set its type as "flow content" and flow direction as "Table row".
6. Now, choose binding tab, and there check "repeat subform for each Data item check box" and specify min. count for your rows.
7. Now, insert your column fields inside this sub form once.
8. Format its look and feel as you want.
When you run this application, it will show you multiple data as table on Adobe form.

Hmmmm.. I guess you are just practising & exploring all the featers of RFC.. isn't it?
Anyway upto what I know is here..
>If you want to use this communication channel to call BAPIs as remote-enabled function modules that change data in the database, set the indicator.
First of all you need to write an ABAP program in R3, there you will call your RFC/BAPI to update the database entries.
In XI, under your receiver RFC adapter check the box "Commit Handiling for Single BAPI Calls". Once you click you will get another check box called "BAPI Advanced Mode".
>If executed successfully, the transaction is written to the database by calling the function module BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT explicitly. If an error occurs, the transaction is rolled back by BAPI_TRANSACTION_ROLLBACK.
Once you send the data from XI to R3, then in R3 function module BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT will be called explicitly (you need to define/call this BAPI after the ABAP code for database update). This will commit the work and return the result success or failur in a parameter called RETURN.
And after this BAPI you should call BAPI_TRANSACTION_ROLLBACK, so that in case of errors the transaction will be rolled back.
>The result is determined by the value of the field TYPE in parameter RETURN. If successful, the tables are empty and the values u201Cu201D, u201CSu201D, u201CIu201D, and u201CWu201D are displayed. All other values are regarded as errors.
As described above.
>To change this setting, set the indicator BAPI Advanced Mode.
In the Successful RETURN-TYPE Values table, enter the values that should lead to a successful execution.
Once you check the box "BAPI Advanced Mode" a table will appear, there you can write your own values e.g.u201Cu201D, u201CSu201D, u201CIu201D, and u201CWu201D.
I can not provide a better solution then this... you have to do a work around, but above are the basic steps which can be considered before implementing the solution.

Display data in excel

Hi, I have program which display data in Excel layout of ALV loaded from internal table..
It means that in sap i received excel sheet with all its functionality.
The problem is that sometimes there are missed some rows with data.
Did someone meet with similar situation?

Sender JDBC to Receiver RFC scenario

Hi All,
I have to configure an scenario of sender JDBC to receiver RFC wherein SAP PI will be pulling data from third party database (Oracle).
Since I am configuring such scenario of sender JDBC, I want help on every important key aspects/prerequisites of configuring sender JDBC adapter/channel. I want to understand about Database Connection, Processing Parameters, etc. details while configuring sender JDBC channel and their significance/relevance.
Also I need guidelines about the source data structure (message type or external definition) to be used/created in ESR.
How sender JDBC channel and receiver JDBC channel differs from each other?
Please guide me on this.

How sender JDBC channel and receiver JDBC channel differs from each other?
JDBC sender always does a poll to a DB table (with join some tables) in wich table you will need a field checkbox to mark the registers read, and the the receiver JDBC you can do a typical SQL construction like SELECT, INSERT, DELETE, etc. Both cases need the JDBC DB driver installed (check the SAP notes for this, also you can find some examples in the SCN:http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/8000cffc-6b92-2d10-3493-f2ac1399242f?quicklink=index&… PI/XI: deploy a JMS/JDBC driver without JSPM? ).

Getting the following error in receiver RFC channel

Hi Folks,
Iam having two RFC channels one as SENDER and other as RECEIVER.Ensuring that all the required data is perfectly given while creating these two channels...the SENDER RFC channel status is green in channel monitoring and RECEIVER RFC channel is red!
Iam gettiing follwing error against RECEIVER RFC channel -

Error can not instantiate RfcPool caused by:

Even iam pretty sure about the user and pwd used in RECEIVER RFC channel...
and also i noticed "perform notification" status is failed in cache notification against my user id...
Can anyone help me in resolving this issue..

Please change your password to UPPERCASE and try.
I have came across few instances where SAP converts passwords to uppercase while storing and so they dont match.

Receiver RFC synchronouse scenario question:

Dear All,
I have a doubt in Receiver RFC sync scenario. for example file to XI to RFC.
Question: when ever Response RFC is triggered in R/3 Side. How the data reaches XI.
By just creating Synch Communication channel for the RFC in XI, will the data to come to XI for RFC respose.
How when a Respose RFC is Triggered in R/3 Server, how the data points or reaches XI port?
How the Auto Triggered RFC Respose data points to XI and Comes to XI in a Synchronous RFC Receiver scenario.
PS: I am not from ABAP background. if any code has to be written in R/3 side for making the response RFC point to XI, please provide a generalized code also if possible.

Multiprovider display data issue

Hello,
I'm using BI7.0 and created Multiprovider using Custom DSO and Infocube1.
the problem is, when i use display data through multiprovider, I'm not able to see data from DSO .
I have considered all common fields from DSO and Cube and assigned in multiprovider.
basically I'm selecting all IO and Keyfigures from Infocube1 and few IO from DSO
some reason I am not able to see data from DSO when i view data through multi provider.
Please help me to view data from both cube and dso through multi provider.

Hi Ganga,
Please check whether there is any restrictions for the field 0PROVIDER. There may be restriction to get the data only from cube.
If there is no any restrictions then here may be your problem.
You need to maintain atleast one key figure in both targets.
Since there is no any key fig coming from DSO
please create a dummy key fig and try to check once again.

Need Suggestion in displaying data in ALV.

Hi All Experts,
I have a scepic scenario for which I need your inputs. I am preparing a report which will display data foe entries made in time sheet. The entries in time sheet can be made for anything like a change request on an incident etc. It will have various output fields
And also dates for which entries are made. So it can have date from 1 to 31. This all is
to be displayed in ALV. Now the report can be displayed in two Summarised ways.
One summary can be for a user and another for the object type(incident, change request).
Now if the user wants to see this report for a period more than a month then I have to summarise it against a month too. So am not sure how to handle this. Which type of ALV function module to be used to display this?

I would suggest to go for GRID display - for that you can use either function module or class.
Tips:
If it also need to be summarised by month then add an extra field in fieldcatalog as monthid / monthname.
also it's better to have an extra field for object tyoe (Incident/ change)...

I am trying to display data from database into the JTable swing component. I can see the table and the heading coming from the vector. I cannot see why the data from the databse table is not loaded on to the Jtable. I just get a table with 6 rows blank.

Your data vector should be a Vector of Vectors.
I think you need to change your loop to look something like this:

Displaying data in a tree from database table

Hi,
I want to display data from a database table (mara-matnr) in a tree structure. I went through the coding of SBSPEXT_HTMLB. There static data was taken in to wa_tab. But there I want to bring data from a database table into wa_tab. For this I created an internal table without headerline by taking a work area, now how can I move data from this work area to wa_tab record by record.
I hope some one might have worked on this. Plz help me....

Furthermore I think you want to do this:
insert <yourWorkarea> into table wa_tab.
A complete mara example would be:
data tab_mara type table of mara.
data wa_mara type mara.
select * from mara into table tab_mara.
*or you can use:
select * from mara into wa_mara.
insert wa_mara into table tab_mara.
endselect.

Can't display data that exist in cupe

I get a problem which is thar even i entered data in the cube i cant display with charecteristics. When i go to bw and display data if i say select charecteristics i can see any data but if i dont select charecteristics i can display data. Also when i enter data and sen data it say succesful but i loose data on view. Have anyone get any problem like that thanks for your interest.

The code you sent appears to be the Audio Talkthrough example with several modifications. Here's the first thing I noticed that appears to be incorrect: You're using the BF AD1871 Wait on Data Ready Flag VI to fill the sub-buffer, then you go into a loop and get the contents of that buffer 256 times. You should be filling the buffer each time before you get the buffer instead of only filling it once. You also aren't resetting the data ready flag by using the BF AD1871 Clear Data Ready Flag VI.

Check data in DSO in contents.
If is there any restrictions on info providers in Queries.
