Receiving a [JavaScript Application] Error upon opening firefox (every time)

Hi, I just updated to the newest version of firefox (5.0.1) and every time I open a new firefox window (or right click a link and open in a new WINDOW) I get an error that pops up and prevents firefox from opening until I click "ok".
the error says
[JavaScript Application]
Type Error: comenents.classes['@simile.mit.edu/java-firefox-extention;1'] is undefined
Now, I have looked for that "extension in firefox but I can't find it to disable it.
can someone please help.
Thanks.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]] article.

The 2nd error is; "TypeError:Components.classes['''componentid'''] is undefined." and upon closing Firefox 6 I receive the following JavaScript error; "ReferenceError:'''M_caFxTBobj''' is not defined."

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • I get a JavaScript Application error message that appears multiple times on most webpages and I don't know what the problem is.

    Here is the error message:
    [JavaScript Application]
    evalInSandbox:Error: Premission denied for
    <https://www.facebook.com> to create wrapper for
    object of class UnnamedClass
The message pops up multiple times whenever I reload certain pages.
The problem does not happen in Safari or Chrome.
I've restarted Firefox but it does not help.

  • Firefox 18 crashes upon opening Facebook every time

I just updated to 18.0 yesterday. Since then, Facebook will crash FF upon login without fail. I can get to the main page (where I'd log in) but as soon as my home page starts to load, Firefox is unresponsive. I haven't noticed any issue with any other websites.
Flash and Java are all up to date, and I've checked my plug ins. I didn't have any issues with 17.xx, whatever was before 18 on the Release Channel. Any possible solutions/ troubleshooting I may have missed?
    I'm running OSX 10.7.5, FF 18.0.

No such luck :(. Cleared everything (cookies, cache, etc) from Firefox and completely exited. Opened up Chrome and was able to get into Facebook. Turned off chat and logged out, but FF still crashes after I try to log in.

  • Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system. When I restart the system this message reappears when I open firefox Every time .

I have logged off and Logged back on . I've clicked on turn off computer in the start menu , and restarted the computer . I've click the turnoff computer in the start menu and turned off the computer . I've gone to a restore computer point, and there have been no changes to the computer . I've turned off my modem and restarted it . After shutting everything down I have turned off the power strip and power to all components . I have restarted them in the sequence of Internet modem , monitor, CPU . Since this time I have not turned on my speakers for my printer

I have gone to the link that you supplied . In the task manager-- ending the entry for Firefox.exec did not resolve the problem.
I located my profile in the start menu In the run tab And entered %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\as instructed.
I received a cannot delete parent file is corrupted or unreadable. I then ran the Chkdsk (check disk )and tried the process again with no improvement . I have uninstalled Firefox, and redownloaded It. Still no improvement. I want my Firefox WHAAAAAAA

Does is still happen in Firefox Safe Mode. See [[Safe Mode]].
If so, it's probably being caused by an add-on.

I keep getting the same dialogue box upon opening Firefox but don't know what to do about it "Could not initialise the application's security component. First try killing Words. When on the home screen double press the HOME button, then swipe the screen image of Words up to close it.
Next, reset your iPhone by holding HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears. If the problem is not resolved delete the app from your phone, reset the phone again, then reinstall the app.

Have been using Lightroom on my Apple computer for years. Now, ever since upgrading to Apple's  Yosemite operating system I get an error message (150:30) every time I try to open a lightroom file. Has anyone else experienced this problem?  Also how do I subscribe to Adobe's Premium Support? Every time I've tried (through contact support) I just get taken on an unending loop.

I think we need a lot more information.
Exactly what does the message say?
Exactly what files are you trying to open?
Exactly how are you trying to open them (what menu command or button or mouse action or keyboard shortcut)?
And lastly, what version of Lightroom are you using?
