Receiving a runtime error R6034 MS visual C   runtime library

Does anyone know how to reinstall Itunes so that this runtime error goes away?? I've tried to reinstall several times but I keep getting this error message. Also Itunes ituneshelper.exe R6034 saying "An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the applicaitons support team for more info.
I'm getting frustrated. Will I lose my itunes library if I uninstall it from my computer and reinstall? Itunes won't come up when I plug in my Iphone or Ipod so now i can't sync anything.
Please help!!!

  • Adobe album photo 'reconnect' causes Runtime error in Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

When I try to open photos from any of my Adobe 3.2 Starter Album albums, it tells me I must reconnect the files.  Adobe browses for them, and can usually locate them on my hard drive.  Lately, it can't find them, and I have to 'browse' to locate them.  When I do, and open the photo in 'My Pictures', I get an immediate message: Prog: ...hop Album Starter Edition\3.2\Apps\ComponentLauncher.exe. This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.  Please contact the application's support team for more information.
The message is generated by Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.  When I go back to look at the photo in the album, there is a 'ripped' icon at the bottom of the photo.  ALSO: The videos I had stored in my albums, with .avi extensions, which also have hard drive backup, no longer play (with the exception of one), and a notification came up requesting codecs.  When I tried to play them on either RealPlayer or Windows Media, they were playing with the screen showing random swirling colors, as if they were mp3's.
Can anyone help me solve this problem?

  • The latest update has resulted in a runtime error (R6034) and I keep being told Microsoft Visual C   Runtime Library is being accessed incorrectly.  Anyone know how to overcome the problem?  I am using a Dell Inspiron  9400 running Vista.

The latest update to itunes has resulted in a whole series of runtime errors (R6034).  Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library states it is being accessed incorrectly.  I am also told that Apple Mobile Device Failed to Start.  Additional messages suggest the error is in itunes.exe and ituneshelper.exe.  I also get Error 7 (Windows error 1114).  Anyone got any ideas how to overcome this (these) problems?

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • Itunes 9.1 for windows causes visual c++ runtime error r6034

    howdy y'all,
    my setup ...
os = win xp pro, sp3, current patches installed

the original update was thru the apple software updater. after the error showed up on 1st start of itunes, i ...
= rebooted the system = no fixee
= uninstalled itunes, rebooted, reinstalled itunes, rebooted = no fixee
since i updated to 9.1 i get the following errors at itunes startup ...
    [1] visual c++ runtime error r6034
after i hit ok for item [1] i get ...
[2] itunes cannot sync information ..SNIP.. because syncing has been disabled on this computer. do you want to enable syncing?
if you do not enable ..SNIP.. to your ipod.
after i hit yes for item [2] i get ...
[3] itunes was unable to load provider data from sync services. reconnect or try again later.
after i hit ok for item [3] itunes runs.
the itouch shows up in the left panel "devices" list and is selectable. pressing the sync button on the itouch summary page triggers TWO dialogs of item [1]! hitting ok on them lets the sync go forward. i presume the only actual sync going on is the music. the sync finishes with no errors and says "ipod sync is complete. ok to disconnect."
i haven't tested to get confirmation that anything is being synced so it might just be going thru the motions.
item [1] is listed on the ms site here ...
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms235560%28VS.80%29.aspx
it says the error is caused by a missing "manifest" and the fix is to rebuild the app with a proper one.

    Hi all,
I could resolve some of the issues posted here with the fix offered by jeffcoffee under http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1595916&start=285&tstart=0 (However, I still have the R6034 error message. Would be great to have a fix for that too).
    This is what he did:
    copy the file 'sqlite3.dll'
    from 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support'
    to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support'
*In a 32 bit Windows OS remove (x86) from the path.
Another potential dll issue might be: 'libxml2.dll', follow the same copy routine. If the first one does not fix it.

FYI, if you are sufficiently computer literate to follow the instructions in the Youtube link, Edgar's suggested fix is much easier/quicker than a complete uninstall/reinstall.
    Nice job Edgar!

  • OpenEdge / Progress V10 & Visual C++ Runtime Error R6034

I'm trying to sequence OpenEdge V10 but I'm hitting a wall with whatever I try. I'm getting C++ Runtime error R6034 at launch.
I've tried loads, but the key is that I sequenced it on a Win7 x86 VM and converted the VM from a Sequencer into a Client and still received the error.
I started on AppV v5 SP2, but reverted to using SP1 as there's new built-in functionality concerning runtimes, that I theorised *could* be breaking this app, however SP1 still didn't work (I was running the SP1 sequence on an SP2 client).
    I've also tried:
    - Installing the Runtime locally prior to sequencing (I used the Runtime that was inside one of the installers for the application)
    - Installing every Runtime I can find onto the Client.
Has anyone experienced this error ?
    Thanks
Note: The application works successfully during sequencing and also if I install it locally, without sequencing.

As I know, the runtime rrror R6034 can be caused by Windows, not caused by TSAM, you need check your Windows system.

  • How to correct Runtime error R6034 when attempting to update iTunes on PC?

How to correct Runtime error R6034 when attempting to update iTunes on PC?

    Hey ievafromsa,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues installing iTunes for Windows. The following article outlines the error message you are receiving and a potential resolution:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
Some Windows customers may experience installation issues while trying to install or open iTunes 11.1.4.
    Symptoms may include:
"The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer"
"iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows Error 126)”
"Runtime Error: R6034 - An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly"
"Entry point not found: videoTracks@QTMovie@@QBE?AV?$Vector@V?$RefPtr@VQTTrack@@@***@@$0A@VCrashOnOverf low@@***@@XZ could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\WebKit.dll”
    Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
    Check for .dll files
    1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
    2. If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
    3. Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
    Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
    1. Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
    2. Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using theMicrosoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
    3. Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
