Receiving all email's twice

I started receiving all email twice and in some cases cannot delete both messages from the phone.
I must delete the emials from my computer and then they will delete off the phone .
Any suggestions?

You can try deleting and re adding the mail account. As long as you only have one mail account it should be fixed?
Are you receiving duplicates on the computer as well? Or only on the iPhone?
Atleast start with removing and readding the account.

  • Donot receive all emails one of my two iMacs. What could be the problem?

I have two iMacs in my home LAN, both running 10.6.8. I have problems with one iMac which is older. It does not receive all emails while the newer iMac does receive all emails.
What could be the problem? Is Mail corrupted?

Can you narrow the problem down to a specific account or are all accounts affected? If one account, try deleting the account and then adding it back.

  • I have my ipad, iphone, and macbook pro all synced together.  I receive all my emails on the macbook and iphone just fine, but don't receive all emails on my ipad.  Some go to Trash because it says they're improperly formatted.  What gives?

I have my ipad, iphone, and macbook pro all synced together, which generally works fine.  I receive all emails from senders in my address book in my Macbook Pro and iPhone, but some end up in Trash on my iPad, with the message, "This message cannot be displayed because of the way it is formatted.  Ask the sender to send it again using a different format or email program.  text/plain"  They appear to be mainly from competing platforms, android, etc.  Is there a workaround for this problem?

If you want to use multiple devices - move to imap, I would even say "exchange", but Google does not support free exchange anymore, since January of that year. So Ironically  Icloud or Hotmail would be my choices right now.
To find out more about what happens to you, search on Google "difference between pop and imap"

  • Not receiving all email to primary Apple ID address since the creation of an alias

Not receiving all email to primary Apple ID address since the creation of an alias

All email sent to your iCloud email alias address should be received in your iCloud inbox.  If email is being addressed to your alias when you think it should be addressed to your primary address it may be because the sender replied to an email you inadvertently sent from your alias address.  You might want to confirm that your primary address is set as your default for sending mail.  See "set default address to send from" here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mm6b1a490a.

  • TS3276 how to receive all emails on different Mac's

Have Macbook and iMac and want to receive all emails on both . How can I set that up?

    This worked for me:
    To “delete all” on ipad
    From each Inbox...
    Tap “Edit”
Tap “Mark All” then tap “Mark as Read”
    Tap Edit
Select first email (adds dot and check mark)
Put your finger on “Move” without releasing
With other hand, put finger on first email and Slowly Drag down on email list then release
(your other finger is still on “Move”)
Deselect first email (it may take a couple of taps)
    Release “Move”
Wait a while if you have a large number of emails
    Tap the Trash icon
All your emails should be deleted

  • .Mac account not receiving all emails

I am not receiving all emails to my main .Mac account. I do receive emails and would never known there was a problem until people started calling to find out why I haven't responded. I have a main .Mac account and two alias accounts, but the address that the emails are being sent to are my main account. Any ideas?

The junk mailbox is empty. I checked my preferences and disabled it for now to see if that will make a difference. I do have some Rules set up to filter known "sales" emails to delete or change the color but I have not set up any rules to move or filter from friends.

Update - I now have it working.
am not really sure what exactly fixed it.

on more options button changed it to "use incoming server info".

  • I am receiving all emails "twice" - help

Wow - I don't know what has happened, but my mail is acting strange lately. I'm receiving almost all emails "twice" and my emails have been opening "extremely" slow (they use to pop right up). Please help???

As far as I know there are multible reasons. I do have the same problem randomly. If there is a Windows mailserver wich is infected by a virus this can happen. Sometimes mail does not delete the mails popped from the server. Try to delete the mails additionally from the account (delete immediately the poped mails).

  • I want to receive all emails a specific user sends and receives

    Hello,
I am a SysAdmin of a medium-sized company, and for different reasons, I would like to configure/implement what the title says.
I would like to receive all the emails a specific user sends and receives without him noticing (even the ones he is CC'ed).
Is this possible? If so, how can I do it?
Note: we are running Exchange 2010.
    Thanks in advance.

Note that the CAL requirement is stated clearly in the link I sent:
Standard journaling   Standard journaling is configured on a mailbox database. It enables the Journaling agent to journal all messages sent to and from mailboxes located on a specific mailbox database. To journal all messages
to and from all recipients and senders, you must configure journaling on all mailbox databases on all Mailbox servers in the organization.
Premium journaling   Premium journaling enables the Journaling agent to perform more granular journaling by using journal rules. Instead of journaling all mailboxes residing on a mailbox database, you can configure journal
rules to match your organization's needs by journaling individual recipients or members of distribution groups.
You must have an Exchange Enterprise client access license (CAL) to use premium journaling.

  • Do I have to receive all emails?

I have my BB so I can get work emails when I'm NOT at work...  Is there a way I can change some settings or something so I don't have to get them all.  I'm sitting at my desk answering emails on my computer and my BB is buzzing telling me I have the same emails???

Yes, sounds like you have a BIS.  BES is Blackberry Enterprise Server and is attached to your company's server(s) and your Blackberry must be set up through your company's IT department.  BIS is Blackberry Internet Service and is the "Consumer" version of email.
As for receiving all your email at your desk...no, you don't have to receive all of them.  However, it depends on your wireless provider.  I work at a wireless service provider and we allow our Blackberry users to set up filters for their email accounts.  Simply log in to your account on the provider's web site and go to the location to set up your Blackberry Internet Service, which should then allow you to set up filters.  For my company, the filters can be "positive" (allow Bob Smith email to come through; allow emails with Subject line that includes "Bob Smith" to come through; etc.) or "negative" (do not allow email from Bob's email address to come through; do not allow emails with Subject line that includes "Spam" to come through; etc.).  I have set mine up to only allow email from my wife and email addresses that include my company's email addresses (they end with @wirelesscarrier.net) to come through.
If I included too much or it doesn't make sense, contact your service provider and they'd be happy to help.

  • Style not receiving all email messages

I recently changed mail-servers. Neither the current nor the previous mail server are in house. We route our in-house email through MS Exchange Server. We do not run BB Enterprise Server so I have set up my BB Style to go directly to the external mail server. I am using MS Outlook 2010 on my desktop computer.
My BB Style is not receiving all the emails coming to me. Some emails come through our MS Exchange Server but not to my BB. Other emails are received both on my device and desktop.
Any ideas why this is happening.

Referring back to Post 2 in this thread -- if your email server (the one facing the Internet, with which BIS interacts) is capable of reconciling with the BB (via BIS) items deleted on the server, then you have no choice in the matter, given what you've now been told.
If you absolutely must retain all items on your BB, then you would I suppose need to set up an auto forwarder that sends everything you receive in your Outlook client out to a different email address. Then you integrate that to your BB so that you can keep that library of items on your BB. You, of course, cannot use those items for any useful purpose (e.g., if you reply, it'll be coming from this secondary email address), but at least you'd have them on your BB.
What your IT person told you is, however, quite unusual indeed. MS Exchange is intended to be a post office and mailbox containing entity, and has a ton of other power as well. I've never actually heard before of anyone using it in this manner, requiring that the client app remove items from the server (encouragement is always in place, via mailbox size quotas and such...but the requirement is rather unusual in my experience). That requirement would seem to make your MS Exchange environment function much more like a POP/SMTP environment, negating all of the power of MS Exchange, and thereby causing me to think that you are not getting the value from that environment that it offers. But, to each his own!

  • Stopped receiving all email, any suggestions?

    Hi,
I'm using an older Macbook Pro running 10.5.8. I'm not receiving any emails - gmail or AT&T. I have various accounts and sent using  AT&T and gmail to my accts. They all sent okay and were received on my phone but not my Mac.
The connection doctor said they were all connecting. Any thoughts? Is this Apple's way of telling me to upgrade my OS?
    Thanks,
    pijoka

You can try deleting the account that is not working, and re-creating it.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • How to receive all emails on both iphone and PC

I had a Blackberry for the last 5 years and a HTC Desire for the last 3 months - the email system on both was excellent in that -
Every email went to both my PC and the phone
So if I deleted it off my phone - I knew it was on the PC until I deleted it from there.
Now I have an iphone4 and the system is proving a nightmare -
It sends half the emails to my PC and half to the iphone but not both
Sending emails from the iphone takes hours if they even go
And if I delete emails off the iphone they reappear then 4 hours later
Sometime when I try to access emails on the iphone -- I get an error message saying server not recognised
    And so it continues ....
Is there anyway that the iphone can do exactly the same as the Blackberry and HTC in that all emails go to both my phone and my PC.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

With your phone connected, iTunes running, on the Info pane, scroll down, under Advanced, replace data on this phone with data on this computer, put a check in the box for contacts, hit apply/sync.
