Receiving an account not verified message on ipad 2, iphone 4, and pc

I am receiving an "account not verified" message when I go to icloud on my ipad 2, iphone 4, and pc (all have ios5).  It requests I check my email but I never receive one.  My Appleid and password are correct because I can go to my itunes account and buy apps, music, books, etc.  How do Iv verify my account?

This same problem is happening to me. I bought the Lion update, updated IOS 5 etc and no verification email ever arrives. I changed my apple id password, which had to be done by sending a verification email and that email arrived immediately. Its starting to become really frustrating and really disappointing from mac

    When I try to login to iCloud I get the Account not verified message.  I hit the resend email prompt but never receive the email.

    Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account.  Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox.  If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

    Went to download latest update on both iPad and iPhone and upon the verification process both "failed to verify" saying they were no longer connected to the Internet.

    yah mine is 3rd generation and it says the same thing. tried testing my Internet connection on my AirPort Extreme it shows no problems. everything else seems to work but I still having delays on my me emails. though my other email sites seem to work ok. looks like the trouble is at apples end.

    My IPad is stuck on Verifying.  I'm on the Settings page and there is a box that says Account not Verified.  At the bottom is something in red asking me if I want Delete Account?  It's been stuck for an hour.  I tried turning my IPad off, but when I go back on and into Settings it's still there.  Does anyone know how to get out of this?  Thank you.

    If i change to an old address it works fine but all my apple equipment uses a current googlemail address and dont want numerous ids

    All...sorted so thought i owed it to you all to update...
    As suggested on numerous sites it was in my spam folder....but because i am using googlemail it was in the Googlemail Spam on my phone and online google account, the spam wasnt getting to my outlook account (where i was looking for it!!!)
    As soon as i opened it there they were all 38 verification emails !!!!!

    You only have the option if you are already running iOS 5. If you are trying to update the iOS, you have to use iTunes on a computer to update the iPad.

    I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
    So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one.     Hello, I upgraded my iPhone with latest OS and didn't setup my iCloud upon activation.  Now when I go to my Settings and go to iCloud, I get a greyed out screen that says 'Account not Verified' 'Check your email for instructions', but none come???  Can someone tell me how to get it activated any other way?

    When you first create an Apple ID (using your email address) a verification email will be sent to that address. If you sign in to your Apple ID from the link in that email, the email address will be verified as the primary email address for your Apple ID. You can also resend the email verification if the email address is not verified:
    1. Sign in to My Apple ID to manage your account information.
    2. Click Resend under Primary Email Address.
    3. Verify your changes by following the link in the email you will receive from Apple and signing back in to your account.
