Receiving Email on Blackberry 8303e

How can I resolve this issue?
I am not receiving any emails from my gmail and AOL email accounts on my Blackberry 8303e.  When I attempt go to E-mail settings, I receive this message - "There was no domain in the certificate received to verify we are connected to the correct entity?  Would you like to continue with the connection?"  The choices are: Yes, No or Don't ask again.  If I select Yes, I receive this message - "The selected server returned an error when attempting to fulfill your request."
Any suggestions appreciated.  Thank you.

  • Email problems- can't delete email account and receiving emails twice: Blackberry Curve 8520

    Hello
I would like to remove a gmail email account from my blackberry. I've removed the account from my service books (deleted them) but I still receive emails from this account.
I also am getting emails twice from my hotmail account (my main account which I'd like to keep). I also only don't get the delete from handset- mailbox option, only delete or cancel.
    Grateful for any help.

Please try this FIRST, using your BlackBerry browser...
    • Go to mobile.blackberry.com OR to www.blackberry.com/integrate
    • Scroll down to Communication and then to Email.
    • Choose the appropriate email set up options.
If that works and completes your email setup/editing, good.

  • Receiving emails on blackberry vs computer

Because I get so many work-related emails, I depend on the Unread messages on my computer to catch my attention.  Now that I've added email to my new Blackberry, the emails on my computer no longer show as Unread.  I still prefer my email to come to my computer as Unread - my Blackberry is just used for emails when I'm away from my desk.  Is there a setting I am missing?  I have also noticed that lately some are showing as unread and others as read - there is no consistency.  It is causing me to overlook important emails.  Any help would be appreciated.  I love this site - great tips!

ok so you dont use outlook.. what do you use to access the email on your PC?
how did you try to add the email to you blackberry, through your carrier site or through the email settings icon on your device?

  • Not Receiving Emails on Blackberry when Outlook is Open

    Hello,
My client has gmail as her host. Outlook on her desktop is configured with POP. The "leave a copy of messgae on sever box is checked". When Outlook is open emails don't come throught to her balckberry. Has anyone had this problem?
Thanks in advance for any advice

    Hey Mhoffman,
If IMAP is properly setup on the server then the BlackBerry will automatically detect these settings and use them. To see if this works you can delete and reintegrate the account as shown here http://bit.ly/c1TyHV
Let us know if this works for you.

  • Not receiving email on computer but I am on my blackberry

Hi all, this is my first post here.
About a month ago I got a new blackberry 7130e and I used pocketmac software to get my computer and it to talk. I was receiving email on it as well as on my computer like normal but about 4 days ago I stopped receiving it on my computer. Every once in a while one gets through to the computer but all of them seem to get through to the blackberry.
I haven't changed anything in mail. I can send emails fine. I have preferences set to remove from server after a week. I use comcast for my isp and Verizon for my phone. Any ideas? Thanks a lot for any help.

Wackman, welcome to the discussions. I do not use a Blackberry, but have had a similar issue with my handheld before. You said that you have emails set to delete from the server after a week. Is this on both the Mac AND the Blackberry? The behaviour you are describing, given Blackberry's Push email capacity, is that messages are being sent the Blackberry immediately and being deleted from the server by the handheld, hence being nonexistent next time your Mac connects to your email server and looks for mail.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
    2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your configurations for the affected email accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support...consider that you pay them for your services and formal support, and right now they seem to not be delivering either to you. They even have the power to escalate your case formally up to BlackBerry if they cannot resolve it, but you need to not allow them to fob you off with things like "it looks good on our end"...they are responsible for delivering services to you, you pay them for that.
    Good luck!

  • Blackberry stopped receiving emails

    Hi,
this morning my Blackberry suddenly stopped receiving emails. I removed the battery, checked all my settings, no joy. Seems like this issue came up earlier in the week in another part of the world...  I am in the U.S..   Anyone have a solution or know what might be causing this?
    thanks

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
There is an ongoing major outage...formal information is available here:
    http://www.rim.com/newsroom/service-update.shtml
From my experience, this is affecting BIS, BES, and all services that depend on those (BBM, email, AppWorld, web browsing, application access to internet data, etc.). Troubleshooting specific problems during this outage may be pointless.
Once the outage clears, if things are not yet flowing for you, please try these steps:
    1) Register HRT
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now
    2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot.
    Cheers!

  • When I had my old blackberry connected to my computer, all incoming emails were routed to my outlook so I did not get mails on my blackberry.  How do I get it so my iphone4 does not receive emails when connected to my computer?

I am getting my iphone inbox bombarded so would like it to not receive emails when connected to my computer.  My old blackberry had an app that took care of this which worked really well.  Am wondering if I can do the same with my iphone4.

Blackberries were/are able to do that with some types of e-mail accounts because the mail is routed to an intermediary (BlackBerry Service).
There is no equivalent for the iPhone as the phone communicates directly with the mail servers and does not go through a 3rd party.

  • Blackberry Z10 not sending/receiving emails or able to browse when connected to WiFi only via mobile network?

I have today moved from Windows Mobile device to BB Z10 and am hvaing difficutlies as cannot send/receive emails or browse when connected to work WiFi and only works via mobile network. WiFi works absolutely fine with all other devices including my previous Windows mobile but am concerned that nothing works when I connect to work WiFi as trying to keep data usage to a minimum.
Emails are coming in via Exchange Activesync in case that makes a difference and was only able to get that working when turned WiFi off when setting up as well.
Please help as mobile signal poor at home and have to rely on WiFi connections to get emails and essential i get them as cover a security support queue.........

  • Setting up my work email (Outlook 2007 - Exchange) to receive on my Blackberry

    Hello everyone,
I am fairly new to this whole blackberry experience....but I LOVE IT!
My question/difficulty is setting up/configuring my work email to my blackberry. My work email is on Outlook 2007 Exchange 2007, I have tried the redirect thing it talks about in the help menu. I clearly did it wrong because I am still not receiving emails from my work accout.
If anyone can help or give me some direction I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Well, there are a few questions to answer before we can direct you down the proper path...
BES -- does your firm have it? If so, stop now and go see them...BES is the best way to integrate a BB to your firms messaging environment.
Did you get a BlackBerry Data Plan on your BB? With BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)? (Call your carrier if you are not sure.). If so, then part 2 -- does your firm place your email accessible to you out on the raw internet (no VPN) via Outlook Web Access (OWA)? If also so, then you may be able to use BIS to be the conduit between your BB and your OWA. See these instructions:
KB03133 How to associate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access email account with a BlackBerry Internet Service account
Before you ask, there's no way for us to tell you if your firm has internet facing OWA...you need to ask them.
Desktop redirector is indeed a method...but don't use more than one method (BIS, BES, Redirector)...just one...otherwise much more pain is in your future.
For general email configuration instructions, see this demo:
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/blackberry101/setup.jsp#tab_tab_email
Hopefully something in here will get you going. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

  • Blackberry has stopped receiving emails

    Hi there
My blackberry has been working fine for ages, but has suddenly stopped receiving emails.  I can still send emails okay.  I have tried taking the battery out and putting it back again, but that doesn't help.
I hope someone can help - any ideas?

According to Vodafone UK (who my BB is with) as well as RIM's twitter account (https://twitter.com/#!/UK_BlackBerry), RIM are having technical issues affecting users in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa)
I guess people are rather busy at RIM's data center in Slough working on it!

  • When I receive emails why doesn't the mail icon on the bottom of the home page indicate I have mail.  Only after I go into my mail do I find out I have mail.  My Blackberry always indicated when I received new emails.

I was wondering if the mail icon on the bottom of the home screen ever indicates that I have mail.  It isn't indicating and only after I open up my mail does it show that I have received emails.  Is there any type of indicator that is supposed to be on the mail icon that shows I have mail?  Thanks

Mail starts up wherever you last left it, or should do without any changing of settings.

  • Cannot send/receive emails via my blackberry curve

Hi I am new to this forum and am not a savvy user although have been using an older berry for work related emails for the past 3 yrs; just got this new bberry lcurve ess than a month ago at Best Buy and they set it up to receive emails from my 2 separate and personal addresses, no work emails. It worked great until today around 5:20 pacific when my latest 2 msgs I sent were stuck and marked with a red "x". The latest email I received was at 5:08 and none after that.  I can receive/send emails normally via both laptop and desktop.  I even checked the billing and I am not behind in payment. I was frustrated as I couldn't find any online Help Desk, so I hope someone kindly help me resolve this.  Thank you!

What is your service indicator in the top right hand corner?
Also have you tried pulling the battery and putting it back in?
