Receiving error in upgrep process

Hi
i am trying out an upgrde of SBA 8.0 to SIA 8.0. on solaris.
i ran the database configuration wizard in upgrep mode and initialized the upgrade wizard manually.
After completion of 5 % the process got hang, when i checked the log file the following error is there.

i checked all connections, everything is ok, and it is able to connect few steps before in the log file..
so, it gave error after 1 day being hung at this step.
so, we started the upgrade wizard again ,this time as it resumes the previous upgrade process, it is hanging at the first step itself giving the same error..
please help me out guys...

Hi (whatever your name is since don’t provide it),
The upgrade wizard will do that. It is smart enough to restart. So if you just keep restarting without doing the necessary troubleshooting steps to figure out your problem then you will keep getting the same error over and over. Endless loop.
You should look into your log files to check what is going on. Since you got to step 70 which is probably the 7th step you should look at the details of what happened.
Do you know what the log parser is?

No need to restart the server. In PI there is a parameter 'java Heap' indicating the size of data processed adapters. Check if it is necessary to increase the size of this parameter.

Accessing 'Manage Process' receives error

On 9.3.1 choosing File/Workflow Manage Process
I cannot select a Scenario or Version and receive my very favorite Oracle error:
'An error occurred while processing this page. Check the log for details'
What log are we talking here and I am assuming the log resides on the Planning server?
I think something may be out of whack in either my plann app repository database or plnsys database

Unable to clone File Adapter receiver channel for parallel processing

Hi Experts,
I am using variable substitution for File - RFC - File with out BPM scenario(using request response, oneway bean).
While i placed the file in the sender FTP folder, the file didnt get picked up, but in communication channel monitoring, i am getting error ' Unable to clone File Adapter receiver channel for parallel processing'.
Can anybody provide me suggestions to solve this error.
Note : without variable substitution , the interface is working good.
Is it due to, i am trying the source structure field in response file adapter?

In your CC, do you use some additional paramaters ?

Maybe there is conflict with a parallel connexion and the bean used to do asynch-synch bridge...

SOAP receiver: error HTTP 302 (Moved Temporarily)

Dear all,
I configured scenario where SOAP web service is consumed from SAP ABAP system via PI. The problem is in communication with the web service: the error observed in communication channels monitor for the configured SOAP receiver channel is:
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 302 Moved Temporarily: java.io.IOException: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 302 Moved Temporarily
The consumed web service is based on the function module developed in SAP NetWeaver 7.00 system. Endpoint for the service was then created via SOAMANAGER, generated binding's address was used as a target URL in the SOAP receiver channel.
If the service is consumed not via PI, but tested directly from external SOAP client (I used soapUI) with the same WSDL and endpoint, the response is fine and error-free.
Please advise possible root cause of the issue.

I am working on a similar scenario where I my consuming an external web service using https protocol from PI.
I have configured a soap receiver channel to call the target url of this web service as https://portal.xyz.org.uk/webservice_alt.
I am getting an error HTTP 302 suggesting that PI is not able to follow the re-direction to the target URL as the service resides not on that URL but on https://portal1.xyz.org.uk/webservice_alt or https://portal2.xyz.org.uk/webservice_alt.
This is their server fail over handling mechanism which is very common. But PI 7.0 is not able to handle this.
So if I change the target URL on the SOAP receiver channel to https://portal1.xyz.org.uk/web service or https://portal2.xyz.org.uk/webservice_alt , PI works fine without errors . But this is not the right approach because, every time the web service provider takes one of these systems down for upgrade/patching etc, they inform us and then I manually go and change the target URL to the available server on my production PI system config.
My problem is I want to resolve this redirection error in PI. I have tried raising a call with SAP itself and they pointed out to use Axis adapter which is still not working.
So I am here asking for help. any suggestions please from the experts?

SOAP Receiver error - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error

We have a FILE to SOAP Asynchronous scenario to send data from our PI to customer PI.
We are sending PGP encrypted file as the payload. So, foll settings have been maintained:
Do not use SOAP envelope in Sender and Receiver SOAP
nosoap=true in the URL.
Message transform bean in the SOAP channels.
File is successfully sent and received through SOAP protocol.
But, both the SOAP Receiver and Sender channels are in error:
SOAP Receiver error:
SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error.
As, this is a asynch scenario, we are not expecting the response.
SOAP sender at customer PI is in error. Error text is not mentioned. It just displays: error occured.
At both the ends, we do not have Repository objects as there is no mapping.

For the same scenario, we need to Sign the data using the WebServices Security.
(We are sending PGP encrypted data as SOAP payload using MTB, i have ticked "Do not use SOAP envelope")
I have selected WebServicesSecurity as the security profile in the SOAP Receiver and selected "Sign" in the Receiver agreement, have provided our private cert.
Tried sending a message. Communication channel audit Log shows the message:
Success MP: Processing local module localejbs/sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.soapadapter/XISOAPAdapterBean
Success SOAP: request message entering the adapter with user J2EE_GUEST
Success SOAP: Web Services Security processing...
Success SOAP: Web Services Security processing skiped. Empty body...
Success SOAP: completed the processing
Please suggest how I can apply the WSS..

JMS receiver error

Hello,
I have maintained a JMS receiver adapter to an existing MQ system (IBM WebSphere 6.0)
After deploying the modules to PI (7.11) the adapter goes green but allways says "Sucessfully disconnected from destination".
When sending a message through this adapter I get the error message:
"Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: No transition found from state: STARTING, on event: process_commence for DFA: JMSReceiver_ATLAS_MQ:4b9d8e8dfe883ebeb7ab5af79e59cdf6"
I can not find out where the problem can be....I played arrounf with the several options for QM Manasger, channels.....
I do not use any "Advanced Adapter options"
Anybody who can help me????

I still have checked all the notes and blogs....
But nothing helps, I still have the same problem.
The problem can be, that I am not a MQ specialist, but I have access to the MQ and I can see the settings.
Do I have to use adapter specific atributes???
I only use QManager, Chanell, queue....
ANd there is somehting other really strange.
I have create several components for different scenarios.
When I create an Adapter in one component, I get the error I listed before.
But in some components I get the error:
"Channel Has Internal Error" in the RWB overview and in the node
"Adapter had not provided any status infomration about this channel"
I tried with Creating new channel, copy channel between the components....
but allways the same...in some components I get this error
in other components I get the message "Successfully discponnected from destination"

AS2 adapter error during inbound processing

Hello,
We have upgraded PI to version 7.1 and now we are testing the Seeburger AS2 adapter.
We have received a testmessage from an AS2 partner and it is shown in the message monitoring of the Seeburger adapter workbench, with status succesfull.
Only the message is not on the integration server. The message is not shown in sxmb_moni or the message monitor of the RWB.
In the RWB the communication channel (CC_AS2_Sender) gives the following error:
"Message inititiation failed: Processing error"
The message itself gives the following error:
"Inbound message processing failed! performing rollback
Can anyone help us with this?

Hi Marco,
the message is not forwarded to the intergration egine because there might be an error in your communication channel.
Are there any other modules in the module chain of this communication channel?
Can you check "default_trace" and "application_log" for exceptions (/j2ee/cluster/serverXX/log)?
Did you also restart the Java Stack after the Upgrade?

SOAP Receiver - Error in response

I have a Interface RFC -> SOAP and in SXMB_MONITOR is OK. But receiver system the data don't OK.
In the Communication Channel i see the error message:
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 503 Service Unavailable
and in Message Monitoring (Message Display), the error message:

Socket Adapter Request-Reply ~ Error occured in processing client request ~

Need your help in resolving a Issue regarding Socket Adapter Request/Reply.
We have a requirement to recieve Message from a External Vendor using Socket based communication,to achieve this Created a Process which has Socket Adapter Inbound Synchronous Request-Reply. I have also created a sample Outbound Service to test and it was able to send & Receive Message Sucessfuly .

Hi,
You don't need a NSXD (Native Format Builder) to receive a message that is XML already, and the NXSD you listed above has nothing to do with the sample incoming message. So, no surprises it is complaining "Error while trying to translate from native.".
You have to fix the incoming message element on the Socket Adapter.

Mail on success or error in message processing

Hi experts
I need to configure a scenario
1. Receive idoc from an SAP system
2. Convert the Idoc into File and Place it in the NFS File directory.
3. On success of the message, I need to mail to SAP Owner regarding the success of the message.
4. On error as well , i need the error details to the SAP Owner.
I had configued all the basic steps in IR. I had struck with the BPM part.
Please suggest with the steps in the BPM.

For sending the mail on success or error in message processing you need to go to the runtime workbench and configure the scenario for mail alerts.
You need to create the alert rules for the success scenario and the failure scenario.
While creating the rules you can specify the message id's to which the mail should be sent.

I am geting this error in JDBC Receiver adapter. when i call the stored procedure.
Last week it works fine.But i today i faced this error.

Hi,
if it was executing fine earlier then check the below
1. user permissions level at the database..whether it has access to the required SP or not..
2. Check if there was any change in the SP..which has not been communicated...

JMS receiver error -Urgent

Hi All,
I am using the JMS receiver adaptor for connecting to the MQ 5.3. I had deployed all the 4 jar files required for this and all the connections parameters are right,still I am getting the following error.
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: No transition found from state: STARTING, on event: process_commence for DFA: AODB_JMS_RCV_Message:0c5354f070933583af34268222d82b9c
Please help on this.
