Receiving external mails in CRM

Hi,
We are implementing ERMS in our company. We made settings in SMTP, default domain and System User. But, the external mails are still not being received in SAO Inbox.
Can somebody guide me on prerequisites for receiving external mails into CRM System?
Thanks,
Vivek

HI,Vivek Kapoor

a distribution group with "require all senders are authenticated" checked still receives external mail.  this does not happen for any other DG i am aware of.  this also happens from multiple external senders.
    please assist.
    thanks

    Hi,
From your description, I would like to verify if the problematic Distribution Group is a member of other distribution groups that don't check "require all senders are authenticated".
What's more, please check if there is any difference between this problematic distribution group and other normal distribution groups.
Hope this can be helpful to you.

  • Not receiving external mail

First things first. Thank you for taking the time to look at this issue. I am a relatively new to Groupwise, the last time I did anything with Novell was around 10 years ago and it was Netware 4.11.
Recently I took over as a Network Administrator for a local school and was pretty much thrown into the mix as the person that was doing the Tech department stuff has since moved on and I had no transition time to learn anything from them. Nothing like working blind.
So the problem is users cannot receive any mail from outside the domain. I've checked the GWIA log and it says that it is queuing the messages for MTA, but it never delivers them to the mailbox.
The users can send mail to each other internally and to other externally though.
When looking at the POA web console it shows the MTP status as Open for Send, but closed for Receive. I'm pretty sure this is the issue, but I have no idea how to fix it.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

You cannot click the "Closed" part? It should be a hyperlink.
Go to Console One, highlight the Groupwise system, then "Tools", Groupwise Utilities", "Link configuration"
Select the domain of the PO, the click "Post Office Links"
Please read some manuals. It's pretty hard to troubleshoot such issues if you don't have a basic grip of the stuff ;-)

  • Exchange 2010 Server not receiving External Mail

    Hi everyone,
I have an Exchange 2010 Server which is connected to an edge server.
Suddenly yesterday all the exchange users on this network stop receiving inbound Emails.
Sending and receiving internal emails still works and even sending outbound emails.
I try to restart the server to see if this could have solved the problem but unfortunately it didnt work.
I dont know much about exchange and would be grateful is someone could offer a solution.
    Thank
    Breon

    Hi,
Agree with v_2udan. And I just want to make a supplement to him.
    1.
The external Domain Name System (DNS) servers for your domain must have mail exchanger (MX) resource records pointing to your
mail servers, or, if you are using an Internet service provider (ISP) or an external system, this external system must have an MX record for your domain and a mechanism to forward mail to your Exchange servers.
    2.
External servers must be able to access 25 port of you Exchange server on the internet. It can’t be blocked by firewall
    or other networking settings.
    3.
On Receive Connector, Anonymous users should be selected in Permission Groups.
    4.   Since
you have Edge server, you can re-subscribe the Edge server.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

    Hi Vivek
Please refer to SAP Note 882653, the document included in this note is extremely useful for what you're configuring.
In addition to this locate the ERMS How to documents (by John Burton) from the SAP Service Marketplace alias CRM-INST, these documents are also very useful.

  • Unable to recieve mails from external world to CRM system

We are using CRM 5.0 Application. As apart of it we configured exchange
server for sending and receving mails from CRM system. The problem is
our CRM system is unable to recieve the mails from the exchange server.
All the settings fro receving the mails has done in exchange server. But
our CRM system is not capturing the mails. We also Maintained all the
parameters fron SAP level and we are able to send the messages to the
external sites, while receving only we are facing problem.
Pls guide us regarding this issue
    Its very urgent
    Thanks

    Hi Julis
    Thanks for your valuable inputs.
As you said we have already done that settings in SCOT and also the other things specified by you.But we are unable to recive the mails to our CRM System.
Mail are going to external ids from CRM. While replying back exchange server is also receiving it. And as said is also forwarding to the contact id (crm.xyz.com).
But there it waits for time and bounces back because SAP CRM system (and the concerned user for whom that email is assigned) is not accepting the email.
I also sent all the steps what we configured to your personal id with reference to sdn.
    Pls provide your suggestions
    Thanks

  • Mail server no longer receiving external emails

After a disastrous upgrade to Lion & then a full TIme Machine restore back to Snow Leopard, I've had some mail server issues. (Web services not working but fixed with this method).   Now noticed my server is now not receiving mail from external accounts...
Lots of posts suggested DNS problems but DNS does seem to be pointing some services to my server:
    - Webmail page is working but on login returns an error:  Error connecting to IMAP server: localhost. 61 : Connection refused
    - Mail Client log in works (but not with the 'mail.' prefix) & can send email both internally & externally.   External mail sent in to my server is returned with the error:  Host or domain name not found. Name service error     type=A: Host found but no data record of requested type
I'm guessing it might be an IMAP problem but I'd be very grateful if anyone could suggest what could be happening here.
    Details:
Domain & DNS  Web Log Errors   postconf -n    ps U postfix  .

Yikes...  Time machine doesn't back up mail.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=ServerAdmin/10.6/en/asafc284c9.html
You may be out of luck.  OS X Server shouldn't be backed up using time machine unless you've configured it specifically to back up things within it's limitaitons.
Personally I use TM to back up user home folders and Shared Drives.  Then use retrospect to back up Mail and OD.  Lastly I use a script that runs a MySQL dump every night to take care of the web server.

  • Can't receive from external mail

I has look through the forum but unable to find a solution to my problem, so I hope someone here can help.
I just upgrade one of our server from Tiger 10.4.11 to Leopard Server 10.5.5, now we only can send and receive inside our lan, but only can send, can't receive from outside our lan.
As far as I can tell all our MX, and PTR are fine and we are not in any of the RBL.
I think the problem might have something to do with NAT, but not sure where to check.

  • Can we display only email address on the sender when receive external incoming mails

    Hello ALL Experts,
Organization want to see only email addresses in the FROM field when receive External incoming emails from Any domains.
I know for Sending emails out to the External domain we can control it in exchange with the help of Use Simple Display Name attribute.
So want the same to the managed for external incoming emails as well, if possible with the help of Transport rule or some custom scripts
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Based on my knowledge, we can use simple display name as an external display name for outgoing messages, but I'm afraid there is no way to do this for incoming mails.

  • Triggering a workflow on receiving mail from external mail id.

    Hi all,
Is it possible to trigger a R/3 custom workflow on receiving an external mail to an SAP inbox.
    All suggestions are welcome.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Anto.

    Hi,
Fairly simple. You need to implement the interface IFRECEIVE in a business object. Add your code to the Receive method (it has all the necessary parameters defined). In SO28 you can set up inbound distribution for received emails, under New Recipient you can specify that business object - just select "SAP Object Instance".
You can also use inbound processing exits - tx SO50 - which is much the same thing but based on ABAP classes and is a little more work and less workflow-specific. Works as above but use interface IF_INBOUND_EXIT_BCS.
    Hope that helps,
    Mike

  • I can receive e-mails, but can't send them from external account

I have my school e-mail account attached to my iPhone. I can receive e-mails without a problem, but whenever I try to send e-mail to someone outside the .edu server, I receive the error message: "The server rejected one of the recipient's addresses. The message has been placed in your outbox." How can I fix this problem? Thank you for your help!

This indicates the account's SMTP server is not authenticated.
Most, if not all internet service providers block the use of SMTP servers that are outside of the ISP's network or not provided by the ISP being used for your internet connection at the time unless the SMTP server is authenticated. When connected to a cell phone carrier's cellular network for internet access is no exception. Does this occur when connected to the school's wi-fi network in addition when connected to AT&T's cellular network?

  • Calendar Server user can not receive external invites

    Hi,
We have a MacPro running ML Server 10.8.5 with 10 user accounts using the calendar and file server services.
Calendar server is where the issue is. We have 10 + users that are set up to send and receive external invites in calendar server without a problem. Recently, one of the user accounts stopped receiving external invites. The problem began not long after I set up a second account for the same user for their shared calendars (they requested this so all shared cals were not on their iOS devices). Although I used a separate email, it was an alias of the first so may have caused a conflict / problem (?). I got rid of the second account with no change to the first.
The account still receives invites from the other internal user accounts and the other services such as file sharing are unaffected. There are no other problems with the functionality of that user, in calendar or otherwise.
I have tried changing the email associated with that user account and setting up a new test user account (in Server). The email invite will still not come through.
I have changed it back to the way it was originally.
    Summary
One of 10 user accounts does not receive external invites
    Was working until recently
The account can send invites to external addresses
Same email address will not work even when associated with a different account
I have included a large section of the calendar error log from the part that references the email address (in red) attached to the user account in question. Apologies, I am not familiar with deciphering this information. That is why I've come here.
Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks so much for your comment ~morgen.
Sorry, I should have mentioned, that it what my first thought so I tested by ensuring the email address associated with the user account (not hosted on the server but by Google Apps) is recieving all other mail.
    I have also tried:
    - Setting all accounts (calendar, email and contact card with associated email address) in another local user on a defferent Mac. So it's not a local user or Mail app issue.
    - Sending invites from different Calendar apps and email accounts - iCloud, Gmail (both using Apple Calendar and the web interface).
That's why I came back around to thinking it must be calendar server related. However is there is absolutly no conntact with the server with incoming email invites I must be looking in the wrong place (and the wrong forum - sorry!).
Does anyone have any ideas where I should be focusing my efforts?
    Many thanks in advance.

  • Sending external mail using SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1

When i use this RFC by appending the internal table receiver with receiver: sapuser name and rec_type  B it triggers mail to the sap user login .But when i give external email address for receiver with rec_type 'U' it is not triggering any mail. Can anyone please tell me how to use this RFC in sending external mails??

I went back and you are right "INT" was not the REC_TYPE it was the COM_TYPE.
    Sorry for any confusion caused.
    However,
I suggest 2 more tests and then I give up and can not think about anything else.
    Try:
    #1
    REC_TYPE = 'X'.
    if it does not work.
    #2
    REC_TYPE = 'R'.
Hope that will do the trick. I was trying a lot when I had to get that working some time ago.
And surely the other colleagues point to something which must be setup as well. Transaction SCOT the SMTP settings.
Furthermore there could be another issue. I remember that I worked at a client who had turned off the send settings on their email server. So SAP finished everything and handed the emails on to a mail server. The mail server had a setting to block any emails from the development environment.
So that might be another cause of your issue.

  • Send Mail to External Mail ID's for Multiple Users

    Hi All,
I want to send mail from SAP to External mail ID's for multiple Users. The program is ok.
But I want to send this to Multiple external Mail id's. Where should I assign this receivers list. Pls advise.
What is the transaction to assign multiple receivers.?

IT_RECEIVERS parameters needs to be passed as shown below.
        wa_receivers-receiver = "..........External mail id".
        wa_receivers-rec_type = 'U'.
        wa_receivers-express = 'X'.
        APPEND wa_receivers TO lt_receivers.
        CLEAR  wa_receivers.
Once mail is triggered to the external mail id's, check the mail is transferred from SAP or not using the tcode SCOT.
In SCOT,follow the path UTILITIES-> Overview of send orders.

    Hi,
Please check the parameter icm/server_port_1, if this parameter is not set, add in TX RZ10 with the value:
    PROT=SMTP,PORT=25
Restart the instance, then create a service user with the S_A.SCON profile.
