Receiving iCal events on the iPhone

Hi,
sad that there is no way to automatically convert iCal events (sent to me by mail on my iPhone) into the calendar application. That would be nice even if it works so great on the mac.

I cannot delete an iCal event on my Iphone. It does not have the edit button at the top of the screen.
The event does not show up in iCal on my Mac or on my iCloud.
One of these is a reoccuring event.

The only other thing I can think of is to try deleting the entire calendar from your iPhone and then sync your iCal calendar to your phone again. This needs to be done carefully. I would begin by backing up your iCal calendar on your mac for safekeeping by opening iCal, then going to File>Export>Export, save this on your desktop. Then do the following:
On your phone go to Settings>iCloud and turn Calendars to Off. You should get a prompt asking you whether to keep or remove the calendar data from your phone. Choose to remove it.
Without connecting your phone, open iTunes on your computer and go to iTunes>Preferences, go to the Devices tab check "Prevent...from automatically syncing".
Now connect your phone and, as before, go to the Info tab of your iTunes sync settings. Confirm that you have checked to Sync Calendars with iCal, then further down under Advanced: Replace information on this iPhone check Calendars, then click Apply at the bottom to sync your phone.
This should transfer your iCal calendar to your iPhone, hopefully this time without the problem event. Check your phone to confirm that this was successful, then you can then go back to iTunes Preferences and re-enable automatic syncing.

All-day iCal events made on iPhone sync to Mac as one day late.

Had this problem a little while now, can't remember what started it, but it hasn't always been like this. I remember first being aware of it near the end of last year because I wondered if the problem might correct itself once 2011 began.
If I create an all-day event on the iPhone calendar, it will sync to the mac's iCal as being one day later. If I enter an event on my phone that's all day, Saturday the 5th of March, it will show up on my computer as Sunday the 6th.
Events which are not "all-day" are completely unaffected.
Both devices are set to the same time zone, with the iPhone having timezone support on and the mac having timezone support off. I've toyed with trying different combinations of these settings but nothing changes. I have to manually drag the mac iCal events one day earlier once they're synced. This fixes it, because it doesn't appear to then bump the iPhone copy of the event any earlier.
But that's a massive pain and I've lost faith in iCal as a timekeeping device. Anything glaringly obvious that I've missed?

I have this problem too. I have an iPhone 4, and this wasn't a problem when I bought the phone back in December. I think it came a month or so later and I suspect with a standard upgrade of something like itunes, or iphone software... but I can't pinpoint it to any specific update as it took me a while to notice it. For me, it does this with my work calendar which is run through Microsoft Outlook. But it's the exact same thing - and it means my calendar isn't reliable anymore.
I've made sure the time-zone settings are correct, I've updated all software, and gone through all possible settings for both my i-phone and Outlook. Nothing fixes the problem, even our tech guy at work didn't know what to do. I know it's not just my phone as the exact same thing has happened with my boss's iPhone which is an iPhone 3G, and it frustrates him to no end.
I'm really hoping someone at apple can tell us what's going on, especially since it never used to do this and there doesn't seem to be any way to fix it. If someone thinks they know what itunes update this was due to, let me know - I'll see if I can go back to that older version.

If you are willing to wait, Apple - OS X Mountain Lion - Inspired by iPad. Made for the Mac explains that a "Reminders" application will be included in the next release of OS X.

I am synching my ipad and iphone with icloud. Events put in calendar go to the iphone, but if i enter an event on the iphone, it does not go to the ipad. What do i do to get this to work both ways?

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over. See if there are duplicates, should be one for Incoming & one for Outgoing.

If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.

My wife iPhone 6+ hasn't shipped yet. I found out that the promotion ended yesterday and that I should have printed the label before that time. We lost out on the rebate. What a scam! I went to the store and was told that it's the customer’s responsibility to follow up and that all of their sales reps were trained to ensure the process was understood. We left the store believing that we would have 14 days to return our phones. This would never have happened if we received written instructions. It was the stores responsibility to ENSURE that the customer received the correct procedure information. Obviously a scam on Verizon's part! Is this the stores issue or Verizon's? How can we get our rebate?

That is not what my trade in disclaimer said at all... You had to PURCHASE an iphone 6 by 10/15. But you have seven days to send the device back after receiving it...
How could I send my iphone in before I received the new one? I would have no cell phone for a month because it was on back order.

Receiving an appointment from the iPhone into ICal works, but from ICal to iPhone doesn't...???

When I make a date reservation from the Iphone or GoogleAgenda it appears in ICal.
When I make an appointment in ICal in doesn't show up in the Iphone and GoogleAgenda.
Does somebody know how to solve this problem ?

Cannot add new iCal events on my iPhone 3G.

My iPhone 3G has stopped saving new iCal events. I can still set up new events in iCal on my laptop, and they'll sync over to my iPhone, but new events won't save when entered into iCal on my iPhone. Any idea what's wrong and how to fix this?
BTW, I just got rid of a MobileMe account. I never ended up using MobileMe, so it doesn't seem like that should be the issue here, but I noticed that some other folks have had iCal sync issues with MobileMe, so I thought I'd add that info.

In other words, it's hacked.

Say for an instance, that it wasn't hacked. Would you suggest to just wipe and restore it?

How to repeat an event using the iphone

I need to make an event repeat every 3 days on the iphone calendar, but I only see repeats for a day, week, or month.... Is there anyway to do this? I do not have any other calendar that will import to the iphone. Thanks in advance for any and all help. Oh one other thing, can you set a home page on the iphone for Safari?

Of course there is a way. If you have a mac computer, create the event in iCal, set it to repeat every three days and sync the your iPhone with iCal. Can't you do something similar with a windoze machine?

Downloaded ical events deletes the previous event

I download ical events from a website regularly. I get emails for different events as they are announced and I click the link to add to my calendar. The problem is that when I download a new event, iCal deletes the previous event even though the events have different, titles, times, URLs, etc. I'd like to keep previous evens as a historical record. Worst of all, events are being deleted before they even occur when I have multiple events scheduled closly. What am I doing wrong?

I have a small application called Multi Event Filter available on the Mac App Store which creates Calendar events from text or spreadsheets. While not really what it was designed to do, a side effect of Multi Effect Filter is that it retains the times entered for events in the titles.

How can I change the colour of an iCal calender on the iPhone?

I have two iCal calendars on my iPhone that sync to google. It works fine with push but both of hem has the same colour. That makes it hard to see the diference.
How can I change the colour?
I am syncing to outlook so I don't have iCal on the statonary.

I looked into this before, and at the moment there is little you can do to customize the inputrender tag, short of subclassing it and adding the functionality you require

Keyboard events on the iPhone

So, I spent a few hours creatinga killer autocomplete class only to discover when deployed to the iPhone via Air 3.5.0.1060 that key_up isn't firing. I've tried adding the event listener to the textField, the stage, even NativeApplication.nativeApplication. They all work on my computer, none work on the phone.
I'm hoping someone has a clever fix. Any help would be appreciated.

PS, using stageText is only an option if you can also tell me how to change the font, and get it to scroll scroll when added to a sprite in my scrolling class.
