Receiving Mail Message Multiple Times

I've got a few e-mail address' forwarded directly to my .MAC account. It's worked flawlessly for over a year now, in the last two days I've noticed that I'm receiving the same message over and over again, sometimes up to 5 or 6 times. Is anyone else seeing this issue?

a single message can be received multiple times from a
QUEUE, if I am using persistent store and saving the
message in persistent store also.Either use a transacted session and do a rollback or use a non-transacted session with client ack and do a recover. In both cases your message gets redelivered.

I keep on receiving the same text message multiple times and at around the same time each night. Any idea how I can stop this happening? The text messages are originating from to separate Saudi Arabian mobile numbers. Both these people are listed in my contacts so do you think if I delete their names it might stop the texts coming htrough each night?

Deleting the people from your contacts will not stop the messages. Have you tried talking to the people and finding out if they're sending you messages? You could try contacting your carrier and finding out what blocking services they offer. However, theat would block all messages from those people.

Droid X - Receiving same Txt message multiple times, repeatedly

After an upgrade back in September/October... I started receiving the same text message multiple times. It doesn't happen every time. For example, my Husband responds with "OK" and I receive the same message 5 times over a period of 4-5 hours.

I received the same message multiple times and the person that sends it only did it once. Also, I have trouble getting texts from non iPhone using friends.

It's actually probably a carrier (or hardware) issue on the sender's end. Tell the sender to pull the battery from their phone (or reset it if the battery is non-removable). I've seen this issue with certain HTC phones (HTC did release an update which solved the issue on my Thunderbolt). As far as I knew, I only sent the message once. However, it would show up multiple times on the receiver's phone. Pulling my battery would solve the problem for a while. It did take the software update to stop it permanently.

Native email sends message multiple times

Since I have updated to the new OS, the email app is now sending messages multiple times. When I initially send it, it appears to be unsuccessful, as it is in the Inbox with a red X. But the message is sent. The app keeps trying to send the "unsuccessful" message, and the recipient ends up receiving the same message more than once. Anyone else having this problem, or have an answer?

I would give rim a call to let them know of your problems.
If they can't track it they won't know how many users this is affecting. I imagine it will get solved a lot quicker if they know just how many users it's affecting.

If there are questions about your password, like Thomas said, don't click on the random link, but go to the app store or iTunes on your computer and sign in and see if there are any issues.
Anytime there's an e-mail from some source wanting your passwords, one good way to check it is to ignore their 'convenient' link and go directly to the site via another source and check things there.

I can't connect to the drive on my airport time machine and am receiving the message: "AirPort Time Capsule" can't be opened because the original item can't be found.

Time capsule has been working perfectly for months.
Suddenly I can't connect to the drive on my airport time capsule and am receiving the message: “AirPort Time Capsule” can’t be opened because the original item can’t be found.
Time machine appears to be still backing up (last backup within the last hour), but drive is not visible and I have files stored on it.
I have tried rebooting everything in order as suggested for other issues, anyone got any ideas how to see the drive again??

What OS are you running??
It is very typical Yosemite issue.
1. In airport utility does the TC show up.. if so click it.. and see the summary page which will include its IP address. That is what you are after.
From my screenshot you can see the TC address is 192.168.2.57
It might well show up briefly after a reboot or in ipad / iphone version utility. Yosemite is hopeless. The airport utility hardly works.
2. In Finder use Go, Connect to server.
Type in SMB://192.168.2.57 (replace with IP you discover).
If it is possible it will request a password.. type that in and DO NOT FORGET.. to store it in your keychain.
This will work until the TC changes IP which won't happen if it is main router.. but will happen if it is bridged.. so you need to tell me the whole network setup.
Mavericks is nearly as bad and the above instructions should be universal except I would use AFP instead of SMB. Apparently Yosemite is now totally Windows oriented.

IPhone keeps sending the same text message multiple times in a row.

My iphone (4s) keeps sending people the same text message multiple times (2-4) a few seconds inbetween. Sometimes it will tell me that there the message failed, but they still recieve it multiple times. I've already tried deleting the message tread and reset network settings. Nobody who has an iphone has said anything to me about it yet, only people with android.

It's a carrier issue. I have AT&T and had this issue with my friend (who had an Android) and my mother (who had a feature phone). Both of them have Verizon for service and I'm thinking the issue was on Verizon's end. They both just dealt with it as we tried all sorts of things to get this sorted out (other than contacting Verizon directly) and had no luck.
They've both switched to iPhones so it's a moot point for us now, at least.

PPC Macs do not like hi-density PC RAM. That's why I linked these two; they send the right stuff to Mac users.

Why I cannot assess deleted Apple mail messages in time machine after installing mountain lion from snow leopard.

Ever since I installed Mountain Lion from Snow Leopard, I cannot retrieve my deleted Apple mail messages from Time Machine. I could do it in the past using Snow Leopard. The effective date for the the non-retrival of deleted messages is the date I installed Mountain Lion from Snow Leopard. Any thoughts?

Mountain Lion appears to have given it an icon very much like an Archive box and put the "on My Mac" folder within that "Box" on both the back ups and the new Mail program - in fact it did it 6 times, which was the origional problem.

Yes, that's how Time Machine restores Mail messages, so it doesn't erase the current contents of an existing mailbox. You can then move them into the desired location.

If you are having issues with activating your Apple ID for FaceTime and iMessage, then take a look at the article below to get it sorted out. Make sure that you have the Date and Time set to Automatic as well as any other steps listed in the article.

Is there a way to backup mail messages in Time Machine?

New MacBook Pro. New backup hard drive. When I use Time Machine to backup my new laptop I see that my mail messages are not being backed up. In 10.6.8 they were backed up in a folder labelled Library. Is there a way to backup all my mail messages through Time Machine? Sorry not a techie, so please keep it simple.

Bring the Mail browser window forward, then select Enter Time Machine from the Time Machine menu, which is represented by a clock icon in the menu bar. If you don't have that menu, select  ▹ System Preferences ▹ Time Machine ▹ Show Time Machine in menu bar.
Scroll back in the time-travel view to the most recent snapshot containing the messages you want to restore. Select the messages, then click Restore. The messages will be restored to a new mailbox. From there you can move them wherever you like.
