Receiving mail with illegible subjects

Within the last couple of weeks I started getting a lot of email that comes form people I don't know with illegible subjects. I won't open them for fear they are a virus, but I haven't seen this in all the years I have been using Macs. What is this and and it seems so random, how can I filter this stuff out?
Sample subjects:
planter Floon flosive Torse
bathen gracquite Sana Fino
Spheston Solighwary panail

this is just spam. have you really been lucky enough not to get any in the past?!

Enable your junkmail filter and mark any message like this junk. Eventually, Mail will learn to do it on its own. Once it does, set the junkmail filter to move junk mail to the junk mailbox or directly to trash.

Can you drag and drop the attachments visible in the email to the Desktop OK or does that fail ?
Re the sending: Are these recipients on Mac's or PC's as the file type could be an issue, if on Mac's then try setting the Mail Preferences Composing setting to Plain Text not Rich Text and see if that improves things.

I`m trying to reset my icloud password but i`m not receiving mail with new password!

I have to iphones one iphone 4 and 5s. This Apple ID is for my Iphone 5s but on my Iphone 4 i haveApple ID account. I want to delete that account because i want to sell that iphone, but i`m not able to erase all data due to wrong pasword.I`m trying to reset that password but i`m not receiving mail with my new password.

Thank you Dom, it was however working absolutely fine before mavericks. In fact I have never in all the years had any problems and I have surely not changed the settings. First iOS7 floored my iphone 4, now this, I am not feeling the love from apple. Any other ideas at all? Thanks again

Problem to receive mail with Apple Mail client

Apple Mail cannot receive mail. Mail is sent without any problems. I thought that it may have to do with my iPhone but when it is shut down I still get this error.
The error message that I get is:
Unable to Receive Mail
The mail server denied access to the account "xxxxxxx" because an administrator or other mail client was using it when Mail tried to log in. Please try again later.
The server error encountered was: Unable to lock maildrop: Mailbox is locked by POP server.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed?

I determined the problem had to do with other computers configured with POP (same account) locking the mailbox. Moral of the story is to just have one computer configured with POP and all the rest with IMAP.

Is there a special listener ?? I want to create a method that detects an email.
I use socket connection to send mails to server (through port 25), but I don't know how to receive mails, and listen to port 110. Do I have to use a special API for doing it? which one?

You most likely have made an error in the set up of the outgoing server for the third account. Either name, password, port, or SQL switch. Check it real close, and you may find it. If you cannot find it by looking, delete the account and start over. If it still does not work, google the ISP and the words mail settings and you will likely get a page with the full settings listed, then try them again.
It is always some dumb typo....

Organize by Conversation incorrectly grouping mails with same subject

I'm having a problem with the threaded view - when I create a new email, to a brand new recipient (maybe someone I've never contacted before), if the subject line is identical to some previous email, the new email is automatically added to the "Conversation".
So, for example, I have just sent an email to a client with the subject "Timesheets". After sending it, I see in my outbox that this has been joined to a previous email I sent about 3 years ago to a completely separate client, in which the subject line was also "Timesheets".
Unfortunately, I don't see that this has happened until after I've sent the email, so is there a way to fix this without turning off the "Organize by Conversation" feature altogether?

I have a scenario IDOC -> PI -> MAIL.
In my output mail, i want,for example and by default, that my attachment's name is "document1.xml".
I've checked the case 'keep attachments' in my CC receiver mail and tried to use the Payloadswapbean to change the name of the attachment but it isn't working !
Is it the appropriate module that i use ? Or should i use something else ?

Receiver mail with text file attached without line feeds

Hi, friends
I have a text file to mail scenario, where file must be attached to receiver mail.
Receiver CC mail is protocol XIPAYLOAD and use mail package and keep attachment.
In tab module, i have:
Module name --> SAP XI Sample/ConvertCRLFfromToLF
Module configuration --> mode LFtoCRLF
The plain text file is attached to mail but there are no line feeds after the plain text lines.

This is not a Java mapping, it's an ABAP mapping.
I've tryed also to insert this characters, but without success.
In my abap class i have:

I don't receive mail with instructions to verify iCloud account

I changed my AppleID and now my iCloud was blocked. I recieve an iCloud message informing that a mail with "instructions to verify" my account was send, but this e-mail never come!!
Now I am without access to all my Number files, worksheets very very important that I need to use right now!!!
What the problem?

The mail was sent to mail account provided as "rescue" while creating Apple ID.
In the "send mail" link you can see first letter of that mail account, and domain (e.g. [email protected] for [email protected])

Cannot receive mail with new ios7 update

Just updated my iPad to new ios7 now cannot receive mail but can send it. I have gmail. I shut power off. Reentered the codes and that did not solve my problem.

Just read another post and it suggested deleting the entire account, which resolved my issue.
It also suggested turning off wi-fi or powering off. Neither of those worked but they were steps to do in case anyone else has this issue.
