Receiving Pix/ Flix messages

I am a smart phone newbie, so I apologize if this has a simple solution.  I am having trouble receiving pix and flix messages from people.  I will get a notification text saying that I have to  visit verizonwireless.com in order to view it.  Why is the pic not going straight to my phone?  My last phone was the Env Touch, and I had no problems receiving them.  Is there a setting I need to change?  Any help is appreciated.

Nevermind, talked to Verizon support and there was something they had to do on their end.

    "Activate FREE Account" does nothing, closing the pop up takes me to my account page. First off, I can't do what they ask me because I am not an "account manager", and on top of that, I already have cloud storage. Once I get into my account, I can't find anywhere that allows me to see the messages, and there are no answers to how to find them on the forums as far as I can see. How am I supposed to access these messages? The reason I am not getting them on my phone is because it doesn't have a camera, so it's not a problem with the phone, it's a problem with the website or my account.

  • Getting spammed by Pix/Flix Messages

    I've had an iPhone 5 on Verzion for over a year now, and I've never gotten any kind of message like this. Starting today, I've been getting these messages (with my name as the contact) that state the following.
    "You've got a PIX or FLIX message! To see it, visit www.vzw.com/newpix-flix-message from an internet accessible computer and follow directions."
    It keeps asking me to create some free account with Backup Assistant Plus. I added that to the plan, but it keeps giving me the same message. How do I access whatever these pictures are and how do I make it so Verizon stops spamming me with these texts?

    The reply below was in response to the same problem I'm having.  My phone isn't video capable so I got the message to go to vzwpix.com but I'm directed to the main VerizonWireless site.  From there I sign in and go to Picture & Video Messaging and I do as posted but there are no messages, in  fact there is no InBox.  There are only  Drafts and Sent folders.   When I click on Messages there is nothing.  When I click on the InBox tab (under the Messaging tab at the top of the page) I get a notice that I need to Sync and Connect but I don't have email accounts with either of the 4 listed.  Is this why I can't access the video, because I can't complete the Sync and Connect??

    Try following these steps and let me know if this works or if this is exactly what you've tried already:
    If you've received PIX/FLIX Message; go to www.verizonwireless.com/picture from any computer with internet access and follow the instructions. Access the URL web address via your PC to view the picture/video message. If you're a first time Pix Place user the received message(s)can be found under the left menu Navigation under Messages > then Inbox. These are temporary in nature and are only available for seven days after receipt. You can move these messages to a permanent gallery and either go against the free 75 message storage or just be stored, if you’re signed up for unlimited storage.

    May I ask have you registered for My Verizon before you received a notification on your phone? If so, then it may be a website issue. If not, then it may not have saved to the website. May I have you have the sender resend the video now that you are registered & see if the issue persist? I'm sorry to report that the original video may not have saved.

  • PIX-FLIX Text sent to phone, but actual video message does not appear in messaging area online.

    I received a text message saying I received a Flix message. However I must access it by going online to vzwpix.com. So I went online right after and the website said it was down for maintenance. So I checked back a few hours later. I logged in. Went to Send Picture and Video Message. Then went to the Messaging Tab. However there was no message.
    A few things come to mind why I might not have received my message. Since the person who sent the message had sent it during the time when the website was down, the message never went through?!
    Another thing I noticed. When in my Picture & Video Messaging I see the Folders "Drafts" and "Sent Messages" however when I put my cursor over the "?" next to Folders it mentions a "Received Messages" folder should be included. However under the actual Folders the "Received Messages" folder does not exist. So maybe the message I was sent never had a default folder to be sent to?!
    My phone was notified I was sent a message. I followed the directions. No message appears where it should be. Please help!
    On a side note. I tried going to the "Contact Us" link at the top right of the page to get help. However, everytime I click it, refresh, etc. I get sent to the page "http://www.verizonwireless.com/backbutton.html". This is obviously a broken link.

    Still no answer to the question. Is this bogus or what?! I get a message from my Daughter-in-Law asking if I got my Mothers' Day song my grandkids sent this morning. No, I get this Flix message at this website text. Here I am now, registering and changing passwords I've never had to this 'forum' with no help and now Flix message. I''ve ignored these messages that I have received before now because of the drama. This time I follow through because of Grandkids for this.
    I'm so frustrated that I've wasted so much of my time for naught. What do I tell the grandbabies? How can we avoid this from happening in the future? Was their song too long to send as picture/video message directly to my phone?
    Why are their no answers anywhere? You've got to be kidding me.

  • Getting rid of pix/flix

    i have an iphone 4 and ive been getting text messages from my own number saying that i have a new pix/flix message and that i have to go log on to my verizon online account to view it. i dont understand why im getting this message because i can receive picture messages just fine on my iphone. its so annoying. i got about 15 today. when i check them online, i see that the message is just words, no image. its actually a regular text message but it doesnt go on my phone. how do i remove this?

    Good Afternoon!  While I'm glad you're getting picture messages just fine, I know the text alerts for online messages can get frustrating. It's very strange to get those messages and still get picture messages delivered to your phone. I say that because if you get that text alert it usually means the account is not provisioned for picture messaging. If this is still occurring, I would like to help and take a look at your account directly. Please private message me if this you need assistance.

  • Can't get flix message

    I'm using an LG Accolade which does not get video. I received a "FLIX Message" notice and have been trying unsuccessfully to access it.  I have reviewed the discussions and tried the various solutions to no avail.  I get to the "Sorry, it appears you do not have an active account" screen (my account expired).  I've selected "Activate Free Account" and then try again.  Same message and it shows "CURRENT FEATURE" for the 'Backup Assistant Plus for Media / Verizon Cloud FREE'. Still can't access the flix message.

    Thanks for reaching out to us. I want to make sure that you are able to view the video that came to your phone. Have you been able to go to www.verizonwireless.com/pictures then you should see an option for Online Photo Album. Once you click on that it will ask for you to enter your My Verizon log in. Then you should be able to view form there. Please keep us posted if you have any questions or concerns.

    On my Droid Charge, for a year and a half pictures in a message came through just fine, and I could send pictures as an attachment, no problem.
    Starting several months ago, I can no longer send pictures, and when one is incoming I get the  "You've got a PIX or FLIX message!  To see it, visit..." .

    Free cloud storage is already active, there is no "way out "button. <Cancel> exits, <Reset> removes changes, and <NEXT>  is grayed out.
    So that's as far as I can get. nothing in your "Support" pages addressed this. The other people reporting if seem to get no real reply.
    If I can't get it working by next week I'm going to a different phone company.

        I can understand why you're NotSoHappyRightNow and I'm here to help! It sounds like your account may not be provisioned correctly for picture messages. This can normally be resolved easily and doesn't involve buying a new phone and switching companies. Let's first check and few things on the phone. Reboot if you haven't already. Clear out old message threads. Try sending yourself a picture message to see if it sends and receives. If still having issues, respond to my follow request and send me a private message so that I can review your account.

  • Annoying VZW PIX FLIX texts

    I updated to iOS 7 last night.  Today I have received about 50 texts from my own number reading:
    "You've got a PIX or FLIX message! To see it visit www.vzw.com/newpix-flix-message from an internet accessible computer."
    Anybody know what this is from or how to make this go away??

    This appears to be a new "service" of Verizon Wireless. I assume you have a Verizon iPhone, so I suggest calling them and expressing your displeasure.
    It has nothing to do with iOS 7.

  • PIX FLIX doesn't work

    I have gotten 2 messages:
    You’ve got a FLIX message!  To see it, visit vzwpix.com from an internet accessible computer & follow the directions.  You have not been billed a PIX-FLIX charge for this message
    I did and got some goofy message about Verizon being in the middle of changing things and that I needed to get some CLOUD account?  I tried and followed through with that, maybe – it was just adding a free part to my bill. I never was able to see any FLIX message.
    Now I have another Flix message.  It says to sign in to Verizon account, which I did, then it just shows account info – NOTHING about a FLIX message.  My daughter sent these from her smart phone from camp.  I’d love to see them now.
    So, is this just NOT available?
    Please do not tell me to go to some URL and then sign in - I have already done tried everything people have been told to do and none of it works.
    When I sign in, I still cannot find anything about seeing a FLIX message.

  • Why won't Verizon respond to questions about Pix Flix?  It has been weeks since they paid any attention to us basic people.  Guess they want us to go away so they can have more time to play with their "smart phones."

    Several people have managed to get to the "community" to ask about Pix Flix. It has been weeks since Verizon responded to anyone.
    The suggestion posted to the first inquiry under "Pix Flix" has not worked for several other folks.
    This is not customer service.  The website offers limited opportunities for contact and it is, of course, out of my way to go to the most local Verizon office.

  • Cannot send nor receive pix thru BBM since I upgraded BB software. PLS HELP!!!!

    I upgraded my Blackberry Software 2 weeks ago to the v.5.0.0.900 and ever since then, I haven't been able to send or receive pix thru BBM. I can send and receive thru email, MMS and even upload to FB. It's only thru BBM that I'm having problems with the pictures. I already made several resets and even contacted my service provider (Tmobile) and they told me to refer to the BB forums Can anyone PLEASE help?????

  • Messaging Catch 22 or newpix-flix-messaging???

    ?? I am the 'owner of this mobile number. How do I change permissions? Or is this just another trick, porting messages with images to the 'clunky' vzw dot newpix-flix web-site where you can't see the images either so I will need to upgrade both my phone and plan just to see what was sent to me???
    Why not a service to simply convert pix-flix to email? Or at least display the entire sent message on the web-site??

    Yes, it's not blocked. However, the web-site (Clunky) didn't respond but they sent a text to my phone saying :"Welcome to Integrated Messaging", and at the same time responding on the vzw/vzm webpage with:
    "This mobile number does not have permission to send multimedia messages and cannot sign up for this service. Please contact the account owner for this mobile number to change permissions."
    They have given (at a cost) me a very nice web page to use for sending text to phone (But they have had that for at least 10 years). But where can I view a text + image on the web? In other words where is the web inbox??

    There can be many reasons why the Login is "up the creek".
    Any break in the network at your end whilst logged in will cause  an issue.
    A sort of discrepancy between what iChat thinks the state should be and what the server thinks.
    If they don't agree the server will refuse to accept.
    A Crash at the server end which does not log you out properly will also do it.
    Any file at any time can be come corrupted.
    Luckily with the iChat .plists they are recreated if removed with an iChat Restart.
    If it were AIM you can also get your Account Suspended  and this will not log you in.
    (It tends to happen from Chat rooms where people notify AIM about bad behaviour (as they see it) and you have to apply to get Un-suspended).
    Most of the big IM services use multiple servers.
    Sometimes these go out of Sync.
    In the case of AIM this happens when they remove Old unused Screen Names from people's Buddy List prior to making them available for re-registration.  I am not sure if this happens at Google.
    You seem to be talking about an account that has worked at Work and having new computer at home.
    As I mentioned the Priority thing you have not said that it has coincided with the new computer logging in  (this will kick the work Computer out of Google whether you are logged in  on the Web Mail page or in iChat)
    IN addition to that iChat stays partially logged in for Off Line IMs
    This is done in the background by a support app called iChatAgent
    If your Computer is ON but ichat is not started people can still send you Messages.
    Instead of saving these on the server until you login iChat will start up.
    Depending if the home Mac is effecting the Work Login it may be holding sway over your Login.
    Using your girlfriend's login may have booted her Off Line where she normally uses the name/login.
    The AIM Side can be specifically set to allow Multiple Logins and therefore NOT allow them.  If this happens you get a warning and messages to do something about it.
    You do not get these in any Jabber or Google Login as the Priority setting is supposed to take care of it.
    If the Login works at the Web Mail Login and on one computer then the .plist on the work computer is the most likely issue.
    There is a small chance that a Corrupt Buddy Pic (Home Folder/Library/Caches/com.apple.iChat/Pictures) may be the cause.
    Set this folder to icon view and also use the Finder's View Menu > Show View Options and select icon view.
    This should show all pics as their icon.
    Check that all display properly.
    At this point I would try a COMBO version update install of the last Update you did over what you have.
    This often corrects hard to trace things
