Receiving Xrated emails in my bulk mail.

Even though these xrated emails are going to my bulk mail in my Iphone 3gs, I still have to delete them (one at a time) and some of the messages can be seen. These are for males only and I find them very obscene and I am receiving them as many as 10 at one time.
Very irritating. Another problem that goes to my inbox are emails titled "no sender, no message ". I would not mind them so much if there were not so many----20 or so at one time. A phone call to AT&T did not help.
I have also noticed that in settings my account shows twice and I believe I may be receiving some emails twice. Can I safely delete one? Thanks for any information and advice.

I just changed from Comcast to Qwest as my ISP, I tried setting up the iMail for the Qwest service and I am using the .live.com settings, but it doesn't recognize the server. I have to log onto the internet and use MSN Hotmail. Is there some solution so I can use the Imac Mail tab?

So you are able to successfully receive mails with the live.com account? What is currently specified in Mail Prefs as the smtp server? Does it include a username as part of the server name? Does it read like "smtp.live.com:[email protected] or like "smtp.live.com:halen10"? SSL is on for smtp? What kind of authentication? Username/password?What is specified as the smtp server port number? "Default 25, 465, or 587?" What did Qwest technical support say?

I keep receiving double emails every time new mail comes in... help!

Every time I open TB and new emails come in, a few minutes later the exact same emails come in again. This is very annoying as I keep getting confused at what I have already read and not read.
I have followed other suggestions about removing something that was in twice in users/thunderbird (can't remember what is was now but it didn't work anyway.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated as it's really getting on my nerves now, enough to stop using TB if I can't sort it as I receive a lot of emails ever day and it's just too confusing.

It may be that the 'popstate.dat' file has gone awol.
Popstate.dat keeps a record of what has been downloaded, so that it does not download them again, but if has got confused then errors could occur.
You can delete this popstate.dat file and Thunderbird will create a new one.
The downside is that it will redownload everything that is one the server, but it should only do it the once.
Move all mail out the Inbox to other suitable folders.
Delete what you do not want.
When Inbox is empty, right click on Inbox and select 'Compact'.
Make hidden folders visible;

* Click on 'Show folder' button - A window will open showing your Profile folder.

* look for and delete 'popstate.dat' file
note:
There is one 'popstate.dat' file per mail account. You should only need to this on the effected account(s).
* Close window - top right X
* Restart Thunderbird.
All the messages currently on the server will get downloaded to Inbox.
Delete any copies and then compact the Inbox folder.
Empty and compact the Junk and the Deleted folder.

Help -- I can't receive (IMAP) email from myself in Mail

I used to get lots of emails to myself... either reminders from iCal or emails I'd BCC'd myself on (to remind myself to file the emails in their proper project folders).
Ever since I've upgraded to Tiger (I think), I'm not getting the emails. They only show up when I check webmail, which is not helpful to me.
About a week ago it seemed I got a ton of them, about a hundred, all in one fell swoop. Of course most of them were obsolete reminders, so I deleted them.
Can anyone help me? I really rely on the iCal reminders.

Betsey, this problem is more stubborn than I hoped. Several suggestions you can follow:
There is no need to re-install the program as it works fine from another user account, but just to make absolutely sure: have you ever changed the location of your Mail program e.g. in a subfolder in Applications?
If that is the case, try to start Mail from the icon directly in the window with all the Applications.
Run the program Disk Utility (in Utilities folder), select your hard drive, go to the tab First Aid, button Repair Permissions. In the log that results from this program, do you see any mentioning of files related to mail? Safe that log file but you can check if this helped anyway.
thing is that my mailbox briefly registers that
they're there -- the number on the Inbox will be 91,
what exactly did you mean with this? You see actually the number 91 flash up for a while then disappears? Somehow the program is detecting 91 unread mails. When you enter through webmail you see so many unread mails too?
What type of mail account is this? .Mac?
Go to Preferences in your Mail program, press Accounts, select your problem account, go to the Tab Advanced. The 2 top most checkboxes should be checked.

At least 100 messages a day in bulk mail!

I am receiving at least 100 messages a day from Zero Gravity in my bulk mail
I am loathe to click on the link to unsubscribe in case I open a further can of worms
Any ideas how I can stop this as every time I go into my mail there are usually 20 new emails in my bulk mail from this company

Added info - The actual error message is "The exception Breakpoint. A breakpoint has been reached. (0x80000003) occurred in the application at location 0x70c81425. Click OK to terminated." Hope that helps a bit.

Auto display HTML attachments in body / email sent from mac mail

Hi,
One of my clients has received an email written in MAC Mail, the email doesn't display correctly instead what would be the body of the email appears as an html attachment, he doesn't want to have to click the attachment to preview it as he doesn't have to
do this on the iphone (also an apple device hmm....), I cant see any way of making it auto display the html in the body without clicking it.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Can you confirm if the sender has this problem sending emails to other recipients?
Please logon your Webmail(or OWA), does that message display as an attachment as well?
If other Outlook recipients also see the email body as an attachment and you can verify it shows as an attachment on Web as well, I'm afraid we should blame the Apple Mail Client, since I've seen some Apple Mail users have this problem:

Bulk mail problem

Way too many emails in my bulk mail folder...
I'm a new MAC user, wondering how to reduce these emails, or have them automatically go to the trash folder.

Are these emails you have subscribed to or are they unsolicited spam messages? Without more detials on the types of messages and your exactly how they are landing in your bulk mail folder it's hard to be more specific.
For Spam I like a third party app, SpamSieve. http://c-command.com/spamsieve/
For newsletters, announcements etc. you can either unsubscribe or create a rule to move these directly to the trash.

Sender is member of group xxxx (you would need to add the addresses to Contacts and assign to group)
Delete Message
There are also other options like "sender is not in my contacts" but this can be tricky and good mail might get deleted.

After setting up your account - power off your phone and power it back on and see if you receive any emails.
For outgoing mail depending on what account your using, check in the mail settings and see if you need to enter a password for your outgoing mail server, - same password as your incoming mail.

Check in Groupware connector administrative tool if the email id is locked under 'Current Locks'.If it is locked then you may have to unlock this id .
Have you checked again if the same email id is locked? If yes, then first you must find out the root casue why its getting locked.

Cannot move junk email to Bulk Mail folder in Yahoo, greyed out

I've searched but so far no luck. Ever since I added my two Yahoo email accounts on my iPhone 4, I cannot seem to send junk email from my inbox to my Bulk Mail folder, it is greyed out. First off, I've confirmed that the Bulk Mail folder on my iPhone is the same as my Spam folder in Yahoo mail on the desktop. I can see the same emails in both folders. Anyone have the same experience and found a way to correct this, or is this just a Yahoo limitation?

went to my yahoo account in IOS;
hit edit, hit "new mailbox" at the bottom right corner of the screen;
entered a name;
below that, it has "Mailbox Location", I opened it;
it list all my personal folders, I am stuck here.
How do I "point the mailbox location to the Bulk Mail folder", as instructed? Am I missing a step?

I have an iPad 3, iPad Mini and iPhone 5S and they are all sluggish on capitalisation using shift keys. I hope that Apple will solve the problem because it is driving me crazy.
I find using a Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 phone, which I also have, work as well as all the ios devices before the ios 7 upgrade.
It has something to do with the length of time that you need to hold the shift key down. The shift key needs to be held longer than the letter key for the capitalisation to work. For some reason, this is a major change in the way we have learnt to touch type on computers. I am having to relearn how to type!

I can no longer receive my emails from the icloud to my mac even though it has been doing it fine since I moved to the icloud a number of weeks now. I only get my mail if I log into icloud or I get it on my phone, it is not synching to my iMac. Can someone assist please.

I tried something similar by adding a new mail account doing the apple id etc but it worked in that it would look for mail but no mail would come even though mail still goes to my phone I was loath to delete my original account just in case the new one did not work as well. So I guess I am a little stuck now.. I hope you can help me to sort it out.
