"Recent Mode" in Gmail - Where is this setting?

Hi,
Using Gmail POP account and I am trying to prevent any messages I send goin gto my inbox. I have read about Recent Mode, however I do not see that option on my iphone.
I have gone here and the option is not there:
To turn Recent Mode off, tap Settings > Mail > Your Gmail account name > Advanced, and turn off "Use Recent Mode."
Can anyone tell me how to stop this behavior without going to IMAP and without creating a filter?

Did you scroll down to see the recent mode setting, or did you scroll down and the setting was not available to you(greyed out)?

Cannot use gmail with thunderbird , with recent: mode enabled (gmail service issue)

Up until this morning I was using recent: mode for my gmail account to download mail over pop3.
No when the username is recent:[email protected] I cannot auth anymore. (wrong password message appears)
If i remove recent: from within the username it works perfectly.
Anybody experiencing the same issue ?
For now, I switched to imap to my other mobile devices and only use one account with pop3 (computer).

First I checked with Gmail forums and there is already a thread there about this issue. I also created a new profile on Outlook 2010 with "recent:" mode and it works. So, this leads me to think it is thunderbird specific? Adding to what xjust explained, I am using "recent:[email protected]" in the username field on Account settings/server settings. This way I can get all the emails on all devices I setup regardless of whichever grabs it first. "[email protected]" as username works. So a wild guess, maybe there is a check/truncation for ":" character in username field on 24.4 update?

Somehow I made a typo and got 192.167.1.100 instead of
192.168.1.100. Now everytime I create a new project it writes this

I think Appletalk's status is also stored in...
/Users/nnnn/Library/Preferences/com.apple.internetconnect.plist

Caches may hold some info too.

Setting duration a slide stays on screen, where is this set in Keynote 3?

I want to know where do I set the duration of how long a slide stays on screen before it advances? What other settings affect duration? Are the setting for the desired time a slide stays on screen preserved when I export to a Quicktime movie?

The duration is actually set for the transition. The longer the delay for the transition, the longer the slide stays up. The qt export timings are sometimes off, especially when you're using QT movies on your slides and timing things to them. Most of the time though, things work okay.

Getting duplicates sent to my Centro from Gmail using "recent:" mode

I have the Centro on Sprint and am using VersaMail v4.0.1. I have 3 POP email accounts set up on this phone. One of them is an account through GoDaddy, the other two are through Google (Gmail). I also retrieve emails on my laptop for all three accounts so it is important that when my phone retrieves emails that it keeps them on the server until I retrieve them on my laptop, at which time they are removed from the server and stored locally on my laptop.
Here's my dilemma, even with the "Leave mail on server..." box checked in my [email->preferences->Server] options on the Centro the Gmail accounts do not leave them on the server. Gmail FAQ's require I add the word "recent:" in front of my gmail account username (see: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=47948) to leave emails on the server. The "recent:" mode fetches the last 30 days of mail, regardless of whether it's been sent to another POP client already. The problem is that it not only leaves emails on the server but it downloads all sent emails to my Centro inbox so my centro inbox gets buried in my own sent emails. My laptop does not get these 'sent' emails delivered to the inbox.
I realize this is possible a Gmail issue and I've searched their FAQ's and forums with no luck so thought I'd post here to see if anyone else is experiencing this.

Thanks, thetreoguy. Even though Gmail doesn't list any PALM devices as IMAP supported I just used the generic instructions for setup and was able to send/receive a test message and a duplicate of the sent message did NOT show up in my inbox (YESSS!!!). (see: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?ctx=%67mail&hl=en&answer=75726 for the list I'm referring to and link to the generic instructions). Thanks for the advice...all those duplicates were driving me crazy!

Paragraphs seem to only be dealt with in styles, and the Formatting window for text doesn't seem to have the space after paragraph contrtol that the older Inspector had. What am I missing?

Side panel >Text > Style > Spacing > Turn the triangle > Before Paragraph/After Paragraph/

Ethmoid is right... There ARE free web hosts, but... as the old saying goes "You get what you pay for" and if you pay nothing?
Most free web hosts are riddled with ads, and some are even hosts to malware. DO YOUR RESEARCH before committing to anything.
While some ISP's do provide free hosting, there are limitations with many of them, such as monthly bandwidth and file storage. You may not be able to get your whole site upto the server (depending on how big it is), or it may be down several days a month due to "excessive" traffic. Again - DO YOUR RESEARCH before committing to anything.
There are also a lot of services that run in the range of $4-7 a month for feature filled, bandwidth enabled hosting. Dreamhost is offering two domains for $3.95 a month right now. I use ICDSoft (have since 2003) and they're $7 a month, but they offer a lot for that.
Lastly, you want to look at SUPPORT. If your site goes down, and your "free" host is nowhere to be found.... It's as bad as having no site at all, if you cant get it fixed and no one can access your URL for days on end.

You can configure this under work schedule. Create a work scheule as per the shift pattern .
Go to SPRO-Time Management-work schedule-period work schedule- define period work schedule. Here you can define the work schedule pattern ,
IF the pattern is changinng evry 2nd week , create two entries one as week 1 and the other as week 2.

UnknownHostException - unknown host "olap" - where is Analyzer setting file to change this setting

Hi, I have installed Analyzer 7.1 and on Analyzer server Windows computer Analyzer java web client works fine - without problems. But on the ordinary computer only having JRE installed (Windows operating system) it reports the error: "An unknown exception occrurred while communicating with server. Nested exception is: java.net.UnknownHostException: olap" The name of Analyzer computer is "olap" so on local Analyzer server computer Analyzer java web client works fine. But on remote computer doesn't find "olap". Work around solution is to add "name to ip" conversion in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file on each end user computer, but this is very time consuming task. I supose there is some setting file on Analyzer computer where 'hosts' are defined. But I just can't find the correct setting. Where can this host be changed? Thanks, Grofaty

Except for this most recent purchase which just happens to be my son's band so I would really like to have it.

Leave mail on server - where do I find this setting?

I'm looking for this setting as it informed me on the izymail website to change my setting to 'leave mail on server' as this will allow me to access my emails that I have already opened on my laptop/PC.
Where can I find this setting? iPhone/IzyMail/Hotmail?

There would be a setting in your email client for this. Outlook or outlook express you have to go into the account options/properties and in the more settings section . On the iphone I think you want to go into the advanced settings on the email account and set the delete from server option to how you like.

Where do I set up rules for conflict resolution when syncing iTunes with Outlook?

I just got an iPhone 5 and I'm coming from a Blackberry. I've been syncing Outlook Calendar and Contacts to a portable device for over 10 years, even back in the day of the pocket pc and more recently the Blackberry. My iPhone 5 syncs great and seemlessly with Outlook using iTunes. I've had no issues as of yet. The problem for me is, it just seems "too" easy. I didn't see anywhere where I could set rules for conflict resolutions. For example, if your pc says one thing but your iPhone says another, who wins and supercedes the other? What if by accident your iPhone loses all of its data, then iTunes syncs with your pc - will it delete all the Outlook data on your pc because it thinks it's syncing with updated data from your iPhone? (in my case data I've had for over 10 years)
With the Blackberry software it asked you to set up rules for conflict resolution when first connecting the phone (including an option to ask you first). In my case, I chose to have it ask me whenever it discovered a conflict. So whenever I synced, it specifically alerted me exactly how many items are being synced, and then if there were any conflicts, it'd stop and then ask me which device I want to supercede the other. This gave me a lot of piece of mind. Now after getting my iPhone and using iTunes to sync, it's been great so far but I have to say that I don't have as much piece of mind. Does anyone have any feedback on how to set up conflict resolution with iTunes and Outlook or does it not exist at all? Again, what would happen if there was a conflict between the two devices?

Yes! Thankyou for that. I had of course put the context.xml file in the web-inf directory.
I followed your example to the letter and it still wouldn't work. Or rather, I followed to the letter expect for the difference between "WEB" and "META".
Once I worked that out, it started working like a dream.
Note to anyone else who has a similar problem, make sure you REALLY look at the answer given. Make sure you REALLY do have all the files in the suggested places. It will save you time.

Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information.
