Recent update 3.01 to 3.1.2 - Full Coverage to No service, back to full

I'm not sure why I did it, but I usually go by the rule of thumb if a device you are operating has no problems, there should be no need to update it. Well, I did not follow that rule, and recently updated to 3.1.2.
The problem I'm experiencing is the coverage will have all 5 bars, and drop to none, then I get no service, and about 5-7 seconds later it will jump back to full coverage, with 5 bars. This is sporadic, but occurs several times a day.
I've googled the issue, and have tried different "Supposed" resolutions, such as: Resetting network, and disabling 3G. I have not completely reset the device, as that is the last thing I would like to do.
Is this a major issue with others or just me. The crazy thing is, I've had virtually no dropped calls...only this issue!!

I just bought a new fone yesterday and did a software upgrade. Network indicator shows full, but not able to make calls or send smses.. called up de service provider (Etisalat) here.. attempted a few network resets and soft resets.. but all in vain.. works for sometime and den again back to non-working condition.. tried changing the SIM.. no advantage..
planning of a downgrade to de old version.. at least i cud use it as a fone..

I don't think you're on iOS 5, I think you're using iOS 6. That's the latest version.
Unless you've used iCloud to back up your documents, you won't be able to restore them. And for future reference, you don't have to uninstall Pages to update your iPad anymore. Sorry about this.

HT1351 how can i get my full music library that exists on my ipad back onto my PC? (my PC was recently updated and only has about half the full library)

Only purchased songs were backed up on icloud. so, how do i transfer all the songs that exist on my ipad 2 back onto my PC?

With recent update I've lost access to my top sites--how get it back?

There used to be a blue symbol at the top of the page (to me it looked like an anvil), click on it and my top sites appeared.
Now, no anvil; nothing I can identify as an access to my top sites.
Top sites are all I have to find things; bookmarks don't work---I click on add a bookmark and when I try to go to it I'm told I don't have any bookmarks.

Was it the Most Visited folder on your Bookmarks Toolbar (see attached)?
One possibility is that your Bookmarks Toolbar is not displaying, or that your items from the bar have moved somewhere else, or that the blue search folder somehow got deleted.
Let's start by making sure the bar is displayed. You can turn it on and off here:
Alt+v (opens classic View menu) > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar
If it isn't on the bar, let's check whether it was moved. Use Ctrl+Shift+b (or Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks) to open the Bookmarks Organizer (AKA the Library dialog).
Can you find the Most Visited folder anywhere under All Bookmarks? If so, you could drag it to the Bookmarks Toolbar.
If it's already listed as being on the Bookmarks Toolbar, hmmm, your toolbar items might have been moved to another bar. Let's see whether we can find them.
Alt+v (opens classic View menu) > Toolbars > Customize
Scan your toolbars and the dialog of available items for "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" and, if you see it somewhere other than the Bookmarks Toolbar, drag it back to where it normally lives.

Media and contacts are NOT part of the iPhone backup. Media should already be in your iTunes library and contacts should be in whatever address book or cloud service you were syncing them to. Just re-sync them to the phone.

PROBLEM WITH RECENT UPDATE TRIGGERING IPADS STUCK IN RECOVERY MODE PROBLEM

I am wondering how many other ipad owners are having a problem getting their device out of the recovery mode after the recent update? I have been in contact with the Apple Express service and been assisted in taking my ipad through the restore process 3 times, and it hasn't worked.
The last advisor told me that if that last restore process did not work it meant my ipad would need to be shipped off for service. I have noticed a number of others posting about this problem in the last week, however. Is there an anticipated fix for this issue? Or, do we all need to send our devices in?
I feel I have received cheerful customer service from some very patient Apple reps, but see any solutions for the problem being offered. In addition to the inconvenience of shipping my ipad for repair, I am also concerned about my AT&T unlimited data/flat rate subscription being lost in the process. Has anyone resolved this problem, and was it through an offsite repair job?

I bought a refurb ipad 32gb. I have noticed when itunes via wifi fails to do an app update, it screws the whole ios; thereby forcing ipad to go into recovery mode. I thought Apple learned the hard way not to allow one app to bring down the whole os!! This is the 5th time an app caused this. last time Apple forced me to reinstall Itunes, wasted 2 hrs.

Start by downloading the latest version of iTunes and reinstalling it.

Meid no longer working with ting after recent update

Hey guys i have a 4s with an meid of 99000, was working fine then the recent update seems to have changed the meid or something because it was different then the one originally supplied to ting my provider, and it no longer works on any network it seems,
it was my wifes phone on the sprint network and worked fine on ting for a couple years until recently

IPhone no longer works with Pioneer AVIC-D3 car stereo after recent update

I've used my first gen iPhone with the iPod adapter/cable from my Pioneer AVIC-D3 since I first got it - and it's worked great. But after the recent update it doesn't work. I only get an "Error-11" message on the stereo screen when I plug the phone in. Anyone? This is really frustrating!

I want to know if i copy all of the music in my itunes folder to an external without consolidating can i still transfer all my itunes music from my current windows xp pc to a brand new one and have my current itunes library in my new pc? Basically i just want to know 3 things: What exactly does consolidating the itunes library do? Can i copy, paste, and transfer my itunes library to an external and from there to a new pc? Will i be able to transfer my itunes library without consolidating the files?

I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). First check to see if it's on the multitasking list and if so, force close it: double-tap the home button, locate the app in question, swipe up on the image above the app icon then tap the home button again.

Firefox takes a long time to close since a recent update and hogs memory.

Since one of the recent updates that started using plugin containers, Firefox takes a long time to close. If I try to go back it, it tells me it is still running. I liik in Task Manager and about seven plug-in container. exe's are running and I have turned off or disabled mostplugins and addons, even Quicktime. Firefox uses an obscene amount of RAM on my XP machine and has made it sluggish. I use XP SP3. This started after you added the plugin containers in one of the recent updates earlier in the year. For the features it offers me or doesn't offer me, rather, it uses way too much RAM and is too sluggish. And takes a very long time to close out when I close the browser. It uses about twice as much RAM as it used to.

Use "Firefox/File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit") to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the title bar.
