Recent update messes up volume, X220 windows 7

My volume is now acting somewhat finicky after doing a few windows updates. The volume no longer shows the little HUD for the 1-50 volume. With the volume keys. Anyone else having the same issue? It's sort of bugging me.

Probably want to try reinstalling the Hotkey Integrations package.

In a firefox recent update I lost all my windows and their tabs, all my bookmarks and their backups and all my internet history. Can I retrieve any of them?

Yesterday firefox did an automatic update/upgrade and when I started firefox up again it appears to be a new version and on checking I found it had cleared my windows with many tabs, my firefox internet history and most inportantly my bookmarks and all the past backups for them. How if possible do I get them back? A friend has suggested that I undo the update to the older firefox and they may come back, is this possible?

I have just recently updated Itunes software on my Windows 7 Laptop purchased songs. Logged in 3 days later and now says this copy of itunes may be corrupt or not installed correctly. Please advise what I should do??

I have just updated my ITunes software to the latest as prompted. I purchased songs as wanted and then closed it down and have been billed accordingly. Since trying to open ITunes again. I have been met with the message saying This version of Itunes may be corrupted or not installed properly. Reinstall I Tunes.

Let's try a repair install of iTunes.
Restart the PC first.
If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair".
If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", and click "Change". Select "Repair" and click "Next" as per the following screenshot:

Ctloadder/Conduit is the problem.
 Go to: /Library/Application Support/ Move these files to the Trash. Conduit/Plugins/cttoolbar.bundle/Contents/MacOS/ct_plugins
Go to: /Library/InputManagers/ Move CTLoader to the Trash.
  Go to: /Library/Receipts/ Move ctloader.pkg to the Trash.  
Go to: /Library/Receipts/ Move this file <Toolbar name>.pkg to the Trash.  
Go to: /Library/Application Support/ Move all of these files to the Trash: SIMBL/Plugins/CT2285220.bundle  
Go to: /Users/<User name>/Library/Application Support/ Move Conduit to the Trash.  Relaunch Safari.
You may not have all the CTLoader/Conduit files listed here but it's good to make sure.
After you move all the files to the Trash, relaunch Safari.

I recently updated my older Dell Inspiron, and cannot get tunes I purchased with old email addresses to play.

Need help. Recently updated a Dell Inspiron with Windows 7. Now, I am "not authorized" to play songs I previously purchased with earlier email addresses. I can play all that I downloaded from discs, just not the ones I purchased.

Select Store > Authorize this computer.
If the menu is not displayed, Cntrl + B will display it.

Can't see recent updates in BBM

I basically just talk to one person with BBM. She updates her status quite a bit. Lately I haven't been able to see "recent updates" in the main BBM window but I see her change it in the chat. Why can't I see recent updates? How can I fix it?

I think you can try two things : the soft reboot, and if it does not work, the hard reboot. Don't worry, you can't lose data with these two reboots.
Soft reboot :
1) Hit the three following keys at the same time :
- Alt
- Right Shift
- Delete
2) wait 2 minutes for the Blackberry to wake up.
Hard reboot :
1) your Blackberry device is on
2) remove the battery and wait for a minute
3) Put the battery back
4) wait 5 minutes for the device to wake up.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".

I can no longer edit bookmark names in the little black window since a recent update.

A bookmark title can no longer be edited, or parts of it deleted, in the small black dialogue window that appears when creating a new bookmark. This has happened since a recent update July 2010 version 3.6.7 or 3.6.8

I have the same problem. It occurred 2 or 3 upgrades ago. Before that I could easily change the name of a bookmark within the dialog box. I now have to delete it entirely and then write in what I want. Needless to tell all of you, it's annoying! I'm running an imac 24 inch with 10.64 and the latest firefox 3.6.11.
Does anyone troll this site and tell the powers that be? Obviously we'd all like this fixed and it's not an isolated problem.

I recently updated firefox, but when I look on the PRIVACY window, where 
websites store cookies, I am no longer able to see any cookies that 
are being stored, and I am not able to delete the cookies as soon as I leave 
their site, as I had been doing for a long time prior to updating. 
So I am wondering where the heck are the cookies being stored now, with the 
new update? I like to be able to delete their cookies immediately, and 
I also wonder why firefox does not make it much easier for us to see 
all the cookies and delete them with one click, instead of having to 
use the <<TOOLS<<OPTIONS<<PRIVACY way of looking at and deleting cookies. 
The option to delete the cookies when firefox closes is not as efficient 
and I will get tracked until I close firefox, and I prefer to not be tracked 
so I like to just delete their cookies as soon as I am no longer using their 
site anymore.

Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.

uninstall pse 10 (properly using the adobe uninstaller).
clean - Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
then try reinstalling using the adobe installation file(s).
if you see an activation count error while trying to reinstall contact adobe support, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html
and ask for an activation count reset.

I'm guessing - if you've uninstalled the previous version, then surely there's nothing left to "update", is there?
Can you undo the "uninstallation" procedure? If not, you will have to download iTunes again and install it as a new installation.
