Recent video content on iPad/iPhone is reloading during sync.

Recently purchased video content is reloading to my devices even though the same content is already on the device.
Can successfully remove the video, and that stops the reload during subsequent syncs.  If the content is put back, the reloading starts again in subsequent syncs. 
Not the worst problem, but a big time and data consumer, and very annoying.
I have tried the following without success of stopping this behavior;
1.)  Deleted the video in question from my library and downloaded it again from Apple.
2.)  Downloaded/Reinstalled iTunes from Apple on my laptop.
3.)  Device soft reset.
4.)  Device factory reset and restored.
My current system is;  OSX 10.9.3 and iTunes 11.2.2 running on MacBook Pro, while OS Version 7.1.1 resides on my iPhone 5S and iPad2.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Update to the above concern... not only does my video reload over and over on each subsequent sync after it is already on the device, I am now also seeing 2 apps just purchased do the same.
I figure this must be an iTunes or an Account issue as it is doing the same thing across devices.
Local Apple store had no idea what to suggest to correct this error tonight.

    You tube converts the video to multiple formats when you upload.
    Sometimes it takes a while for the video to be viewable.
    And sometimes you tube converts to other formats before it makes ios versions.
    Just wait a few hours and try again.
    It will become viewable in time.
    If it does not then you would be better to contact google.
    You tube is theirs, and issues need to be told to them.

    They should be in your iTunes, if you made a backup of your iPad before upgrading it then they'll be there.
    Upgrading iOS involves erasing everything on your iDevice so making a backup beforehand is recommended.

    Hi Kristina...
    Try "resetting" the devices...
    Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    Then try again. If that didn't help, on one device tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. If that helped, do the same for the other device.

    When I connect my iPad Air to my PC in iTunes it shows that I have over 4Gb of video on it. I have a film which was d/l, less than 2Gb and any other video I recorded was removed prior to the connection.  Am I right in assuming that quite a lot of video is permanently resident in the iPad. The film I d/l I would like to remove to free up space, however, any way I look at it, the option to remove is not apparent, how is this done guys?

    Once the photos are on your computer, you can place them into folders that you can sync back to the iPad or just use the WiFi apps to transfer the photos back to the iPad.

    Help I dont understand the instruction. I transfered by date using the migration assistant which didn't work that well as it locked all the file. I managedto sort this out but it did nt transfer this automatically to itunes. what do I need to do now ?

    It's alright, I don't have a Mac so I get confused too. The option key should be somewhere to the left of the space bar and look like it is trying to represent railway points.
    I don't know how migration assistant works, but presumably it has dumped an iTunes folder somewhere on the Mac. Inside that should be a file called iTunes Library.itl that is the core of the library. Unfortunately iTunes "thinks different" so we can't just double click the file to open it, that opens whatever the "current" library is instead, so you'll need to hold down option (shift for Windows) to get a dialog to choose or create a library. Click choose and browse to the relevant file.
    If iTunes can't play your music at this point and gives the exclamation mark of doom then we need to go back to the Windows 7 library, tweak it up for easy export then bring it over again. Overview here. Customized instructions on request.

  • IPad repeatedly copying songs during sync

    I have noticed that each time I sync my iPad, a varying number of songs get copied each time.  I am on iOS 6.1.2 and iTunes 11.0.2.
    The problem happens both when I would sync via WiFi or plugged in--moreso when on WiFi sync
    With the help of a former Genius Bar guy, I backed up the iPad to my Mac, reinstalled fresh copy of iOS and rebuilt the iPad and its contents.  The problem persists.  Also, and I don't know if it is related, but my song count in iTunes is different from my song count on my iPad which is different from my song count on my iPhone.
    Ideas?

    So may know that if there is a same issue when u sync though a USB cable?

    This may help you
    Launch iTunes on your computer. You don't need to connect your iPhone.
    Click the "Edit" menu and choose "Preferences".
    Click the "Devices" option.
    Uncheck the option to "Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from Syncing Automatically. Click "OK."
    Connect your iPhone to your computer, if you haven't yet. Click the "This Computer" option in the Backups Section.
    Uncheck the option to "Automatically Sync When This iPhone is Connected."
    Click the "Apply" button. Your iPhone won't make backups automatically until you manually sync your iPhone with iTunes.

  • HT1766 iPhone photos lost during syncing; are they still available

    Today I decided to sync my iPhone 5 and download the new version of the operation system because of warnings  in the news about security breaches with the older versions. When I plugged the device in and selected it, I was not presented with the option of syncing but was guided to a screen with two choices:  1) register a new device or 2) restore the device to the settings of the last backup (2/27/13).  I chose restore since the device was already recognized by iTunes when I plugged it in.  There was no dialogue warning me that restoring means that you will be deleting any new data stored on the phone since the last backup. This is a crucial piece of information worthy of a red flag and warning similar to those you get if you attempt to delete a photo or contact.  I proceeded through the restore process; eventually, there appeared an error message saying that the restore had failed. I unplugged the iPhone then plugged it in again.  This time, I was guided to the screen for syncing and proceeded to sync apps, calendar, photos (there is no music on the device).  When I finished, I discovered that many, many of my most precious photos and the albums I had created  to arrange themon the iPhone were missing, although many of them remain.  Most of the photos on the iPhone at this time are those that were already stored on the computer in Picasa while many of the iPhone photos I was attempted to save by syncing have disappeared.  Is there any chance of recovering these photos, either on the computer or on the iPhone?  My Photo Stream option was on for the photos, but most of them were apparently  not captured and are missing from Photo Stream on the computer and on the iPhone.

    I am not computer savy....I was trying to add some contacts and it would not let me. My grandaughter told me I had to sync phone.  I did something stupid I told it to restore to last back up.  I got all old contact information.  I messed with it until I got my current contacts back.  Everything is back to normal except my photos are gone.

    I tried to restore my iphone, it fixed my problem half a day, andthen the same problem came back.

    I also noticed that my contacts arent being synced to my address book. What the **** is the problem, i never had these kind of problems with my last 3 iphones.
    TO CKUAN: I cant risk to restore as new as long as im aware that my contacts arent gonna come back, cuz my contacts are not being synced with my addressbook

    My iTunes keeps crashing when I try to sync my iPhone as well as when I try downloading the newest iPhone upgrade 2.2.1. I even tried to restore my iPhone and once again iTunes crashed (at around 224MB into the download of the upgrade).
    I've restarted my iPhone.
    Restarted my iMac.
    Re-installing iTunes.
    Tried installing iTunes 8.0.1 (instead of 8.0.2).
    Created a new user to check if that was the problem.
    All with no success.
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Yup, I trash iTunes before reinstalling. Also tried restarting before reinstalling just in case that made a difference but it didn't.
