Recently added and recently viewed pics...why?

Hi, Id like to be able to delete the picture browsing that appears when you view pics. When you open the picture app, all pics that have been recently added and viewed are there. Is there way of doing this, like deleting browsing history on the internet? Thanks

Hi Scottgo and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
Sorry, there is no way to clear the recently added and recently viewed items from your Pictures application.
Thanks.

  • Recently added and recently played playlists have disappeared.

Hi, I have just looked at my itunes library on my Iphone 4s and noticed that my recently added and recently played playlists have disappeared. Does anyone know why this has happened and how can I get them back? Preferably without restoring my whole phone.

    Solution/work around:
Add a new smart play list.
File > New Smart Playlist. From this point a pop up will appear.
    Match following rule is selected
(Date added) - (In the last) - (2) - (weeks)
    No limit set
    No match only checked items
    Live update selected
    Then <ok>.
Change name of smart playlist to something like 'New Music' and Sync to IPhone/IPod.

  • Recently Added and Recently Played missing?

My Recently Added and Recently Played playlists on iTunes aren't downloading onto my phone anymore. They show up on my computer but are completely absent on my phone. Is there a way I can fix this?

Well... in that case, the syncing has become hosed.
The only way to really rectify syncing issues is to uncheck the sync option for the item that is not syncing properly, in this case Music and then sync the device.
Once completed, select the item again and sync.  It will correct the syncing issue it simply takes a little time.

  • Why are recently added and recently played playlists not showing on iphone 4s when they show in iTunes?

In my iTunes window, the playlists for my iphone 4s when it is connected show correctly. The playlists include 'top 25 most played songs', 'recently played', and 'recently added'. Although they appear in iTunes even after syncing, they do not show on my iPhone and I can not use them (they aren't there). But they continue to show in the iTunes list for the device. This is frustrating because I often like to play my recently added list or top 25. How do I fix this?
    Thanks for any help.
    James

I would also like to know this. =/

  • Issues with Recently added and recently played

When I sync my iPhone, my recently added and my recently played wont sync to my phone. Why?

    More info?
Can those playlists be checked like the other playlists that are syncing to your phone?
Can the songs in those playlists even be played?
without that info I'd start with making sure iTunes is up-to-date or deleting and re-creating those playlists.
HT1801 shows how to create a smart playlists which is what each of those are.
"Recently Added" be default is stuff added in the last 2 weeks and "Recently Played" is any music played in the last 2 weeks.

  • I've deleted the recently added and recently played tabs and want to get them back, how?

    Hi
I've deleted the recently played, and recently added tabs on the left hand side of itunes, but I now want to gewt them back. I've tried to look online for solutions but they don't work, I get the icon up again, but nothing gets added. Am I doing something wrong.
Heres what I've done - Go to file - Create new smart playlist - then in the box marked random, drop down box to most recently added - then name the folder when it appears on the left. Thats great, but nothing appears in that folder. I've also tried clicking on the + sign bottom left then hitting shift, which brings up the same box, but it still doesn't work..... Help!

You need to specify what the values/attributes are for the two smart playlists. The below screenshots are from iTunes on my Mac (as that is what I'm currently logged in on), but I assume that the values are the same as they would be on windows :

  • Recently added and Recently Played

how does itunes "define" this? how recent is recent?
also still need someone to help me figure out how to backup my library and playlists and ratings..

+"how does itunes "define" this? how recent is recent?"+
Look at the left-hand list. Right-click the playlist name, and choose Edit Smart Playlist. You can see exactly what rule it uses, and you can change it if you wish.

  • HT1844 Library Issue:  I just imported 2 CD's into ITunes.  They show up in "Recently Added" and on my other devices via ITunes Match, but NOT in the ITunes software on the computer where I added them.

Library Issue:  I just imported 2 CD's into ITunes.  They show up in "Recently Added" and on my other devices via ITunes Match, but NOT in the ITunes software on the computer where I added them.  They show up in the search box, but when I click on the results it just kicks me to ALL my music.  I have imported thousands of songs/CD's before and this is a new one.

Something may have gone wrong with the index of the Music playlist. Making another change to the library such as downloading the current iTunes Free Single of the Week, or deleting one track from your library and reimporting it, should fix the problem.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and delete the hidden file sentinel from inside the main iTunes folder, then start iTunes again. It should run a consistency check when it starts up which ought to correct things.

  • ITunes 11 Recently Added and Sorting Order

Upon updating to iTunes 11 last week, I've found that my Recently Added playlist is completely out of order both on my iPhone 4 and in iTunes on my Mac.
The playlist is now set to sort by artist name, not the date that the songs were added. Ordinarily, I would just switch my display to "Sort by: Date Added." However, when I do this, the tracks within each album are now listed alphabetically, rather than being listed in track order. Towards the bottom of my playlist, songs aren't even sorted by album anymore - three albums are completely mixed up, because I purchased them at the same time.
When I view this album on my iPhone, the same problem occurs. The songs are listed in the order that I downloaded the album, but the songs within the album are either in a random order (probably the order in which the songs finished downloading) or they are listed alphabetically. This did NOT happen prior to downloading iTunes 11.
To summarize: I can get the songs listed in the correct track order if I sort by artist, but then the albums are not sorted by date added. I can get the albums sorted by date added, but then the tracks are not sorted in correct track order.
What I would love is for the playlist to show the most recent album that I downloaded, with the tracks in the correct order. In other words:
    Most Recent Album
         Track 1
         Track 2
         Track 3
    Next Most Recent Album
         Track 1
         Track 2
         Track 3
    Is this possible?

    For reference...
In this image, you can see that the playlist is sorting by artist, and within each album, the tracks are in the correct order.
In this next image, you will see that I have sorted the playlist by "Date Added." When I do this, the "Sleeping with Sirens" album is in REVERSE alphabetical order (because it's ascending, not descending), not reverse track order. The albums near the top of the playlist are completely jumbled up.
Prior to updating to iTunes 11, the playlist worked wonderfully. The far-left column (the one that is selected in the first photo) was selected, and it would list all of my songs in the manner I outlined in the first post (albums by date added, with track order intact) and all was well. I am wondering if it is possible to get that again, or, if not, why?

  • What is recently added and how do i get rid of it?

Ever since the latest iteration of iTunes, I have been subjected to a banner across the top of my itunes page called Recently Added.  I understand why that feature may be desirable to some people, but why can't I turn it off as I find it really annoying.  I also have no way of knowing how it calculates what is recently added, how long ago do items fall into that category.

If you go to View > View Options, you'll get a little control panel that pops up along the right side of iTunes. There is a check box that you can uncheck to remove the recently added banner and option from the side bar.
I agree, this was an eyesore, but at least you can get rid of it now.

  • How do I retrieve my recent calls and recent text messages after I restored the settings

How do I retrieve my recent call log and recent text messages after I had to restore the settings?

If they were in your most recent back up and you restore your phone to that back up, you'll get them back. If they're not in the back up, there's no way to get them back.

  • I accidentally deleted the "Recently Added" default playlist from iTunes. Any way to recover and reinstall it?

I accidentally deleted the "Recently Added" default playlist from iTunes. Any way to recover and reinstall it?

    File > New Smart Playlist
Call it "Recently Added" and make the rule that date added is in the last 2 weeks (or your preference for "recent").
