Recently cracked the screen on my iPhone 4. Since my phone contract is already over, is it worth it to wait for the 5s?
My screen's been cracked (mostly an internal crack, although small parts of the screen have chipped out) for about a week now and it's starting to bug me since it makes it rather hard to use my phone. Basically, I'm having a hard time deciding whether it's worth waiting a month for a phone that will have a few improvements over the iPhone 5.
I've considered replacing the screen on my iPhone 4 (I actually ordered a replacement screen, but it was the wrong one so chances are it'll be two weeks before I get the right one, so I'd probably just replace the screen and have it as a back up phone, or just return the wrong screen for a refund).
Anyways, from what I've read it seems like the improvements from between the 5 and 5s are that the 5s will have a faster processor, better camera, and a fingerprint scanner. Considering that I don't lock my phone and I don't have a problem with the speed of my iPhone 4, the only thing I really see myself caring about is the camera.
I don't want to regret getting the iPhone 5 right before the 5s release, and likewise I don't want to regret putting up with my current phone for another month (possibly more, depending on shipping/out of stock delays) just for it not to be worth it to me. What are your opinions about the situation? I realize it's somewhat of a tricky answer, but I'd like to hear some opinions of those with better experience than me.
Thanks!
Apple has not announced any new iPhones ,the terms of use of this forum ban speculation of Apple product plans etc..
personally I like to have the latest and best

I recently cracked the bottom part of my iPhone 5 right by the home button, would it be beneficial to put a screen protector over the cracks so it won't break anymore? I've cracked it twice now and can't afford to fix it again

A few months back I Dropped my iPhone 4 and I cracked my screen and now i cant unlock my phone due to touch screen not working plus there are blurred lines across the screen and I can't see anything that it displays.
Now when I try too connect my iPhone 4 to iTunes on my computer at home an error message comes up saying that I have to unlock my iPhone 4 for it to communicate to my device.
But the problem is that I can't unlock my iPhone 4 because I'm unable to see the key pad and my touch screen no longer responds when I touch it.
I just want to reset my iPhone 4 back to its Factory Settings & start all over from the beginning.
How can I unlock my iPhone 4 with iTunes on my computer or any other option you suggest me trying.
Thank you in advance,
SiHeroIf you have had a "local guy "repair your iphone you will not get any support from Apple for warranty OR post warranty
If Verizon return it to Apple it wil not be handled by Apple
If Verizon also use unauthorised repairers you may be lucky
(Apple do not sell parts to local guys or anyone else ) -
my ipod touch recently cracked the screen is not very broken, I'm from Brazil and bought my ipod touch in Miami want to know where I can fix it there in the united states? And how much it would cost?
Apple will not take it as a trade-in for an upgrade to an iPad touch
The will take it for recycle only
Your best bet is to sell it on your own and then use those funds to get the new iPod.

Sadly today I cracked my screen on my Iphone 6.
Sadly today I cracked my screen on my Iphone 6. I have a third party insurance through Esh Techprotect. I need to know if I am able to make claim them for a cracked screen, if so how do I do that? I have no contact information for this company. Is that because I go through Verizon? If I cannot make a claim am I able to get the screen replaced in a Verizon store?
ThanksDid you get your insurance through Verizon? If so you should be able to contact them for info on how to file a claim. As far as a Verizon store repairing the screen, the answer is no. They don't repair screens. You can go through Apple to get it done (can't recall the price). If they do it or one of their authorized repair places does it then your phone will remain under warranty for the rest of its alloted time. You can go to a 3rd party repair place to do it also but that will void your remaining warranty.

if you have cracked your screen on an iPhone 4S and take it into an apple shop to get fixed does it cost?
$199. They replace the phone; Apple stores do not repair iPhones. They only replace batteries, and screens on the iPhone 5.

The screen of my iphone turned to blue and then shutted down. And it couldn't power on for few days.
Try this First... No Data will be Lost..
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...

The Touch ID symbol has disappeared off the Lock Screen of my iPhone 5S since upgrading to IOS 7.1. Is any one else experiencing this. Any recommendations for fixes? The finger scan in Settings seems to be working OK for me.

I have a white screen on my iphone 3G since last night.. I tried a holding home and on/off buttons down but it won't switch off - help
Apparently, this is caused by a loose connection between the "guts" of the phone and the LCD screen. While it only displays white, the touch screen will still operate correctly - so if you know where to swipe, you can still power it off or unlock the screen, or touch to answer a call or etc.
With my phone, pinching the top right corner near the power button while pushing the home/power button to wake up the phone, seems to tighten the connection enough for it to work. I have not had to maintain the pinch after waking up the phone, but I do have to do it each time I unlock the screen. I have gotten by for about 6 months so far, and hoping the iphone 5's come out soon!!

Just picked up my iPhone 6 Plus - tried to sync iTunes playlists, but sync won't complete. "Waiting for changes to be applied" - how do i update?
Eject the device.
Close and relaunch iTunes.
If the problem continues, restart the computer and the device. -
i updated itunes 11.1 yesterday and now im trying to get my music on itunes to sync onto my iphone 4s but when i connect it through usb...Itunes is saying " waiting for changes to be applied"? so i dont know what to do cause i just want to sync my music from itunes to my iphone 4s
I had the same problem and the fix was so easy that I felt a little silly after spending 2 hours with an Apple Technician. At the end of it all, what I had to do was make sure ALL music was deleted from my iPhone 5 by going into usage and clearing out the music folder. All I had to do then was turn my phone off and turn it back on again. I had not done this after my phone upgraded to the new 7.0 IOS. What's the first thing you do when experiencing computer problems? Reboot! It fixed my problem and now my iPhone 5 synchs perfectly when I had it connected to my computer. I am also on iTunes version 11.1.
