I spotted this sollution from another user in relation to a similar problem:
Quit the app then reset the iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

The first back up to iCloud may take some considerable time. Just how long isn't really possible to say without knowing how much is in your back up and your connection speed.

Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing issues with the orientation of your iPhone. Let's check to make sure orientation lock is not enabled, you can do so from the Control Center:
Lock the screen in portrait orientation - Control Center

How can I check to see if a plug-in or something else is preventing me from accessing a certain app?

Hello, Thanks in advance for any help. I'm an elementary teacher who is having trouble accessing my online grade book from my mac. The publisher if the gradebook app is Pearson. My school district technology dept. has not been helpful at all, but a family member who knows about these things helped me and many other teachers in my district discover that using Firefox and accessing "the old launch" of the gradebook app will allow mac users access. My problem is that I cannot even get into the "PowerTeacher" area (portal?) that leads me to the gradebook. It has been suggested to me that perhaps there is a plug-in I have that is conflicting somewhere along the way. Others have been successfully logging in, so I'm guessing it is something just with my version of Firefox or other... If someone can help me with this frustrating problem, I will be forever grateful!

Other is usually around 1 GB...
A ' Large Other ' usually indicates Corrupt Data...
First Try a Restore from Backup... But... if the Large Other Persists, that is an Indicator of Corrupt Data in the Backup... Then a Restore as New is the way to go...

I can't see downloaded wallpapers from Safari or other apps in my Photos folder

Only the pictures that I click from the camera are being seen in the camera roll and the older wallpapers. None of the new pictures downloaded from Safari or other apps are seen. I tried deleting some photos, hoping that there must be a limit on the number of photos one can keep in the folder, but even that didn't help.
Can someone tell what is the issue over here? I am using an iPhone 4.

Thank you so much for providing the details about the duplicate song issue you are experiencing. It sounds like you would like to remove the duplicate songs that will not play on your iPhone, but when you connect it to iTunes, iTunes only shows you one copy of the song on your iPhone.
In this situation, I recommend deleting the individual songs that do not play directly from your iPhone. I found the steps to do this on page 61 of the iPhone User Guide (http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf):
Delete a song from iPhone: In Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete.

Sounds like you may have deleted something you shouldn't have. Boot to an OS X DVD or a bootable backup, and using Disk Utility, do a repair disk, and while there repair permissions. Disconnect any peripherals, and reboot. If you get the same startup behavior, do a safe boot, by holding the shift key down when booting. If that works, try a normal boot. If neither step helps, you may need to relaod your operating system.

I downloaded the Buzz Player HD TWICE from the apple store on my ipad 3, but any of the videos it contais doesnt rotate. i mean, they all play only vertical (any other app rotates fine). Why?

By design, the organizer (and any other database management systems) is there to prevent you from duplicating your media files. The catalog management allows you to have the same image in different categories or albums. Duplication in different folders is to be absolutely avoided.
The same image file can have multiple tags like 'family', 'vacations', 'birthdays' and be present in three different albums with the same names. On obvious advantage is less disk space. Another one with your present folder system is that if you edit one of your duplicates, the other ones are unchanged.
I don't see an easy way to make your present folder structure simplified for the organizer ...

When I 'Tab Groups,' the search function immediately pops up (and it won't go away) every time, preventing me from accessing my grouped tabs. How can I prevent this from happening?

Using Firefox 5.0 with Windows 7 on a laptop, whenever I click the 'Group Tabs' icon to the right of my tabs, the search function immediately comes up over my grouped tabs, preventing me from using any of them. When the search function comes up, the screen goes semi-dark and the search bar appears - any text I type at this time is entered into the search bar (the search function works normally). If I click any section of the screen at this time the search function disappears and the screen regains color - but only for a fraction of a second, and then the search function comes up again, along with the darkened screen. Hitting 'escape' or 'backspace' produces the same effect. Is there any way to disable this unceasing search function?

Firefox 5.0 is still in BETA and not slated for release until June 21.
Reinstall the full version of the current release which is v4.0.1, download link at the top of this forum.
