Recently I noticed that when I change the name of a photo (correcting a mistake) it always goes back to the previous name, keeping the mistake I'm trying to correct. A spelling mistake, for example. As I keep my photos organized by name and not by date, this is very annoying.
And today it won't even read my camera's sd card, and I try with 2 different ones. If I restart the computer, leaving the memory card in, then it reads it; but if I pull it out and push it back in it doesn't see it. Whath am I doing wrong, if anything?

Where/how are you trying to change the name? If it is in Finder (after you've downloaded the pics to your desktop), highlight the pic icon and press Return. the name field will change and you can type in your new name. Hit Return again. That should make it "stick". If you're trying to do it elsewhere, please post the steps that you've tried.
As for your card: do you eject it properly? Either drag icon to trash or hit the eject symbol in the sidebar?

In November of last year, I added my mother to my plan and it changed us to a family plan. Judging by from when I bought my device, I should have an upgrade this March, but since we changed the plan, my device upgrade was pushed back until March 2015? Why is this?
I'm not sure when Verizon discontinued early upgrades at 20 months, but I believe that it may have been in April of 2013. Regardless, if you upgraded at a discount in March of 2013, the EARLIEST your upgrade eligibility date could have been would be November of 2014, NOT early to mid 2014. I can't see ANY way that you would possibly have had an upgrade eligibility date of early to mid 2014. Additionally, when Verizon discontinued early upgrades, it happened all at once so any contracts signed on or after January 1, 2012 were automatically switched to the end of the 2yr contract which was signed. As I said before, this switch was made in April 2013, I believe, so your eligibility date would have been changed at that time, not when you added a new line.
Is it possible that you had mistaken early to mid 2014 when it was originally November of 2014 for your original upgrade date and that was switched to March of 2015 when early upgrades were discontinued in April of 2014? That seems to be a more likely scenario. -

macbook pro mid2012 i7 (here is my e-mail adress : [email protected])You should take it to an Apple store or an AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) Carefully inspect the hinge joint and make sure there is no debris that you can see, you can try carefully sliding some sticky tape thru the joint to clear any loose stuff out. But this sounds like there might be more going on here, and the hinge is something that you do not want to fool with.

I have been noticing that when using the computer the mouse keeps going in places where I really do not want and just now select the sentence without I have done anything. Sometimes goes to places like bookmark or open tabs in website when I am reading a page.
Also I have noticed opened windows that I have not opened.
I have verified the sharing folder and also the remote access but it not let me turn it off.
Also I have add a password to my computer and even using the same one it looks like is not working.
The I photo stopped working, Mac Mail does not let me add rules (this is from one day to the other)
The computer is mine, the internet I use is payed by me with a password. I did not give permission to anyone to use my computer or share my files.
In system preferences in the sharing folder is showing everyone and staff.
My computer is private I do not own a company and I do not have a network set up in my house.
I had my photos removed from my computer and even after trying to reinstall I photo and fix the Mac Mail is not working.
I am receiving emails saying that I have sent emails to people that I do not know and including in a time where I am working and not using the computer.
Any suggestions in how to fix this issue?
I really appreciate.With the multitude of issues you have I would take it to an Apple store or AASP and have them sort it out. Then I would sign up for Apple camp or one on one.

Why is it that when I change the contacts on my phone, it changes them on my mom and dad's as well?
My family and I recently got iPhones for Christmas. One for my dad, one for my mom, and one for me. We also have an iPad 2. They are all hooked up to iCloud via one username. When we got the phones, we had trouble transferring our contacts from our old verizon phones to our new apple ones but we eventually got the contacts we needed. At first, my mom's phone was not connected to the iCloud account shared by the rest of us and the iPad. She wanted the calendar from the iPad so I deleted the account on her phone and added the iCloud account that the iPad was using. All was fine until my dad and I realized that our contacts were wiped from our phones and replaced with my mom's. I then started painstakingly deleted my moms contacts and replacing them on my own on my phone. However, contacts were being deleted from my mom and dad's phone at the same time. It's almost like the three phones are constantly synching with each other. It would be ideal if we could get all of our contacts back the way they were before my mom changed her account but we would settle for this constant synching to stop. Please give us some direction here, we are new to this. Thanks in advance!

Because, as you said "They are all hooked up to iCloud via one username. ". That is exactly what iCloud does.
You need independent iCloud accounts for each person to maintain independent contact lists. -
In LR6CC, after using the merge to HDR and the photo returns to LR as a DRG, it is not automatically put into a previously set up stack. For example a stack of three photos. If I use NIK HDR and the photo returns to LR, the stack is automatically changed from 3 to 4. When LR's HDR merge brings a photo back into LR's library, the stack number does not change and the DRG version isn't included in the stack.

The Ps CS6 public beta version contains the same camera support as found in Ps CS5/5.5 compatible CR 6.6. There will be future updates to CR 7 for Ps CS6 to pick up more camera support. The Nikon D800 NEF files are not supported, yet.
If you like to work with your D800 files in the public beta build now, you'll have to get the DNG Converter 6.7 from here: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/cameraraw6-7/
and convert your files to DNG.

I've noticed that when wearing headphones the sound is much louder in the right headphone than the left one. This wasn't a problem before. Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a fix if so?
Did you try different headphones!?
If it's sounding the same thing on different headphones then you might have changed the Left-Right balance
Have a look at Settings -> General -> Accessibility
There's a slider for L-R
If it's in the center then the headphone through which you're facing the problem might be damaged, try twisting the headphone wire of the speaker of the headphone (left or right) where you are encountering less volume.
If it's sounding altogether same on all the circumstances, the headphone jack might be damaged. Get your phone to the Apple Store and book an appointment

I understood. Emphasizing that this is still a guess, when you touch the screen it compares your fingerprint at that time to the one you originally recorded. The fact that the finger is warmer may have a small effect on the fingerprint making it appear different than the original colder one. Temperature differences cause things to expand and contract and that may be having an effect on the comparison. You could try recording a fingerprint after doing what you are doing and then see if it will be recognized when you do the same thing to log into the phone. I know that prior to iOS 7.1 for a few minutes after I would wash my hands the phone had difficulty recognizing the fingerprint. Don't know if it was temperature or moisture that caused the temporary change induced by the hand washing. That improved with version 7.1 I think.

I am not sure whether the music will get restored.
Anyway try this
1.Connect iPhone to PC.
2.Open iTunes
3.Open iPhone Summary
4.Go to Apps Tab
5.Under File Sharing Section Click on Music Downloader
6.Right side if you see your songs click on one song and press (CTRL + A).(hope you are using windows) and click on save and then save to a folder on your computer.
7. Later just do steps till 5 to put to new iPhone then ...........
8.Click on save and select the music files which u want to put in that app.
9.Click on apply to sync.
10.You should be having the music in that app

I am used to that when I open an image in Bridge it will be opened in PS, with all preferenses I have done to the image. Now it opens in PS but without any changes i have don e in Bridge. Also when I open a new image I want it to be opened in Camera Raw automatically, both if a Jpeg or Raw picture.

Hi, Just bought an ipod classic 160gb and i notice that when I turn the volume down all the way, music is still heard, i.e. I cannot turn it down lower than a certain volume. Is there a fix for this? Thanks
I've got a feeling that's the way it is. I know that if I turn the volume down all the way, I can still hear the music very softly -- which is great for listening when I have a migraine!

When restoring Time Machine after a failure, does it also restore the files to the same order, for example - within iPhoto I have pics/ videos in folders and sub folders organised as family/events etc - will it go back to this exact order after a restore?

I just noticed that when I talk on skype, my friends can not hear me as clear. I went to sound setting on the mac and noticed that my voice was getting picked up to good regardless of chaning the setting. Has anyone got any idea??
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore. Has any of this been tried?
It is possible that dropping the device has caused the issue.... regardless, it's unlikely Apple would do a warranty exchange since there is obvious user damage.
If basic troubleshooting does not resolve the issue, take it to an Apple store for evaluation... if determined to be a hardware issue and you ask nicely, they may be able to assist you, but they may also only provide the option of an Out of Warranty replacement. -
