Recently played list Curiosity

Not a technical question as such, more a need to satisfy my curiosity. In my recently played list I have about 30 tracks that have been played on a date when I did not use my macbook pro. Can there be a bug in iTunes that that has changed the last played date, or is it more likely my laptop has been used by someone without my knowledge?
Hope this doesn't seem like a banal question but I'm a wee bit precious about my laptop and would hope there's an itunes blip rather than someone messin' with my stuff.
Thank you

Thank you. I did consider that but I rarely listen to music on my Iphone which I did sync with the laptop but did not update any music.

  • Recently played list not updating in when connecting my 1st gen iPod Nano

My Recently played list in iTunes will not show any songs recently played songs in my Nano.
Why? How do I fix that?
I've "repaired" iTunes, and updated my iPod to the lastest version.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hello lakersfan44,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
First of all, I am assuming this smart playlist is still available and viewable from within iTunes correct?
Have you made sure your iPod is properly configured to sync playlists?

  • [Your Music] Remove items in the 'Recently Played' list permanently

Current implementation (refer to image 1):Items in "Recently Played" list are hideable via the menu button. However, these items come back when you reconnect the device to the Internet (or log into Spotify). In addition, items that are hidden cannot be unhidden until reconnection to the Internet or relogin of Spotify. Proposed implementation (refer to image 2):Replace "Hide" funciton with a "Remove" function.Removes the item permanently (across all devices that is logged into the same account).
"Hide" function can remain as long as there is an option to unhide these items instead of reappearing after reconnecting to the Internet or relogging into Spotify. Additional idea:Remove all Played History, does the same as removing an item, but to all items.

  • Dude about Recently Played List

hello! please help me: i have a ipod classic 160 gb and for example i have 30 songs in my ipod, then i listen 15 songs (complete reproduction) and go to the list of reproduction "recently played" in the ipod and see says 0 songs (being that I have reproduced 15, is normal?). Then I connect the ipod with the itunes, and sync. In the list of "recently played" list of the ITUNES there appears all the songs that play before with the ipod. then the synchronization finishes, I extract the ipod, see the list "recently played" in the ipod and now if this one updated up to the synchronization with the itunes. at the time my consultation is ¿is it normal that appears in list "recently played" of the ipod in 0 songs if in fact I have reproduced 15 in the ipod?.
PD: I don't realize any modification in the lists they are those who come for default in itunes.
PD2: the set time and date, are correct
    please help me

Thank you. I did consider that but I rarely listen to music on my Iphone which I did sync with the laptop but did not update any music.

  • Recently played list different on iTunes and iPod touch

So I recently got an iPod touch (8GB) and when I sync it to my iTunes (9.0.2.25) every other playlist downloads fine, except for my "Recently Added" and "top 30 most played" playlists. What I mean is the list of songs in those playlists is fine on iTunes, but on the iPod touch it is a different list of songs under those playlist titles.
    Anyone help?

Yeah, it's kind of frustrating. What to do when you start from scratch and the problem still persists?
I've never run into that on a Mac for example. If you reformat and rebuild something it usually handles every situation. Here it's isolated to a couple Smart Playlists, not every Smart Playlist. Unless there's something inherently askew with the OS upgrade and a Most Played & Recently Played list.
I'm going to have to try another User forum to see if it's common or known buggy. I'll keep you posted if I learn anything.

  • Is there a way to set up my iPod touch so that when I sync it with my computer, my computer adds what I listened to on my iPod to my Recently Played list?

My iPod Classic recently died so I got an iPod Touch. A difference I noticed is that songs I listed to on the iPod Touch do not get added to my computer's Recently Played list like they used to with my iPod Classic. Is there a way to change this? Thanks for any advice you've got for me.

    Hey Eric,
Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.
Again, thanks for trying, it is appreciated.

  • Ipod has stopped putting songs into the recently played list, Any ideas Y?

My ipod has stopped counting songs and also now wont put any songs into the recently played playlist and its really annoying- Any ideas on how i can sort this out? I've reset the ipod which has done nothing and i have also updated itunes but again to no avail- Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
    Lisa

I am also having this (or a similar) problem. For years I had an Auto Playlist of Podcasts with "Play Count is Zero"/Live updating rules so they were removed each time I synced my iPod after I listened to them. Recently, the Playlist has stopped updating. That is, the podcasts stay in the playlist because the play counts never update. They show in the podcast library with 0 plays no matter how many times I play them on my iPod.
I also noticed that none of songs I play have their playcounts updated in the Library after I play them on my iPod. All the syncing seems to be going one way (from the PC to the iPod and not the other way around). I picked a song with a playcount of 1 and it over and over just to test it out and no dice/no update.
Any clues? Is there a setting I am missing? I tried resetting the iPod.... And the iPod played tunes/casts are also not appearing in the Recently Played list....

  • ITunes 8 Upgrade-Having Problems with Recently Played list

When I try to listen to the songs in the Recently Played list on shuffle, it will play one song and then stop. If I hit the "next" button in the middle of the song it will just stop rather than moving on to the next song. The only way to make it work properly is for me to turn shuffle off, play from one song to another, then turn shuffle on. After all that it will work. I am using Leopard and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes but the problem has not gone away.
Is there any way to fix this?

    Excuse me for jumping in.
What's described Here should work if you have iTunes 7; I haven't tried it yet, though.
Otherwise, locate the most recent updater [2006-6-28] (they're found in ~/Applications/Utilities/iPod Software Updater.localized on my machine). Download it if necessary.
Run the updater; connect the shuffle when prompted.
    Good luck

  • Recently Played list with multiple tracks

Is it possible to have the same track more than once in a Recently Played smarlist?
    Thanks.

Nothing really important. When connecting the iPod to my computer, I'm not sure if iScobbler knows how many times a song has been played to send it to my lastfm.com if it only appears once in the list.
    Thanks

  • Remove recently added play list?

I need to try and claw back some space on my 160 classic. Is it possible to remove the recently played list? I never use it, nor do i really use the recently added list either. The only ones i use are top 25 and top rated. Would removing either of this lists give me back any space?

Removing playlists won't free up storage space on your iPod. Playlists don't contain actual songs, just links to songs.
If you want to free up space, you need to delete the song files themselves.

  • Recently played playlist not updating

I'm posting this query here and in the ipod thread as i don't know if the problem is with my itunes, or the ipod itself:
Basically, we've had a new PC, and I intstalled iTunes and uploaded all of my music with no problems. However, whenever i used to play a song on the ipod through "shuffle songs", it would drop onto the bottom of my "recently played" playlist on the ipod, then would go to the top of the list when the ipod got connected to the PC. Now the songs won't appear on the recently played list until the ipod is connected to the PC. I'm wondering then if this is something to do with the settings in iTunes, as i didn't have this problem until i got the new PC and had to start over with iTunes. Have had a look on the settings menu on the ipod itself, and also on the preferences menu on itunes, but can't see anything that looks like it might help. Is this a glitch or a simple settings problem?
    Many Thanks!

I have this exact same problem, does anyone kno a solution?

  • Ipod nano: recently played playlist

I used to have a playlist on my ipod called the "recently played" list, and it was really handy. But now it isn't on my ipod anymore, but it is still on my itunes, I just can't figure out how to get it back on my ipod. Can someone please tell me how to get it back?
ipod nano 2nd generation Windows XP

All you need to do is drag the little "Recently Played" icon to the iPod icon in the left-hand column of iTunes. (Your iPod has to be plugged in when you do this, of course.)
    Hope this helps.
