Please describe the problem in as much relevant detail as possible. The "etrecheck" fad hasn't made that step any less necessary. The better your description, the better the chance of a solution.
For example, if the computer is slow, which specific actions are slow? Is it slow all the time, or only sometimes? When did it start to be slow? Did you change anything just before it started? Have you seen any alerts or error messages? Have you done anything to try to fix it? Most importantly, do you have a current backup of all data? If the answer to the last question is "no," back up now. Ask if you need guidance. Do nothing else until you have a backup.

    Last question first, as we need to know what operating system that the Mac is using.
    If you are not sure, click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen, then click About This Mac, and post back with the OS X Version number that you see there.

    The file downloaded file.  Asked me to click complete (or something like that ) I did.  It then added the icon to my desk top.  Now it just seems like it needs to start the install but it never launches.  I double click on the file and it opens up the folders in Finder.  I then have options of Deploy, Install, Payload and Packages. I double click on Install and nothing happens.
    I have no idea where to go from here.  The error that keeps telling me to reinstall Indesign etc (what ever Adobe program I click on I get the same) keeps happening.
    We have this problem now because we had to replace the harddrive on the Mac to and upgraded to Yosemite to get some other issues sorted.  Since then we can't do anything with the Adobe programs.

    That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
    Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
    Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
    Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

    200% or more is not strange. Remember that your mac has 4 cores (you say it's 3 months old, so I assume it is a new model), so 200% amounts to using 2 of these 4 cores to the max.
    Regarding the question of creating a new admin user: while it sits in the same system, it may help if the problem is caused by some user-specific preferences or settings. Not likely in your case, since you seem to have reinstalled from scratch, but still it is worth a try. It takes 5 minutes and may help pinpoint the problem.

    Do you have the songs on an iPod? iTunes purchases can be transferred from an iPod to your new library. See info here:

    If you don't have them on an iPod, your only option is to contact Apple and see if they will allow you to download the songs again. They are not obligated to do so, but some users report being allowed to. It doesn't hurt to ask. (And, please, be sure to backup your new library!)

    I am wondering if someone could give me an applescript code that I could run that would remove certain items from my dock and another to re-add them to the dock.  I recently got a free app called concentrate, and it talks about "running applescripts."  It says that I can use applescripts for features that concentrate does not have that I would like to have.  I would like to have one that removes certain icons from my dock while it is running and another to re-add them when concentrate is done.  In addition, I would like to have a script that only lets safari access 1 or 2 websites, or should I say that it blocks all websites except those that I tell it not to block.  I suppose that I am "tech-savvy," but when it comes to programming, developing, or whatever you want to call it, I am completely lost.  I really appreciate any help that anyone gives.

    That's only for the iPhone 5. On the 4 and 4S, they can repair the back glass in store for $30. They will not replace the display on a 4 or 4S. They must replace the entire phone. Replacing the display on them requires disassembling the entire phone, which they will not do in store.

    I have reinstalled Mac OSX 10.6.3 and done the updates from there.
    I have reinstalled ilife 11 from disk and done the updates.
    I have deleted all the suggested files and then redone install and updates.
    I have tried just reinstalling iphoto and doing updates.

    Why do you need a expensive MacBook Pro?
    Your attending high school and unless everyone else is rich also your likely going to be a target by the more poorer students for theft or damage to the machine.
    You could keep it home, but if you need it for class then your exposed again.
    Also at that age your not very careful yet, a MacBook Pro is a expensive and easily damaged machine.
    Unless your made of money and so are others at your school, I would recommned a low profile, just does the job cheap Windows PC.
    If it dies, gets lost, stolen or damaged because of your inexperince handling senstivie electronics then it's no big deal.
    You can buy a Mac later on when your sure you have a need for it, currently there isn't much advantage of owning a Mac compared to a PC, they do just about the same things now, one just looks prettier than the other.
    Since 95% of the world uses Windows PC's your going to have to install Windows on the Mac in order to keep your skills up there or be unemployed, so it's a extra headache and expense.

    Install it just as you did before. You should have backed up the download to a CD or backup HD and have the S/N archived with the backup. If you did not backup (please do in the future), you can download from http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html unless it was an upgrade (I don't think you can use these files for upgrades).
