Yes, if you updated to iOS 7 you also got a new version of iBooks. The new iBooks app does not have the wooden shelf theme at all. The library has been re-styled for iOS 7 to be a plain white area listing your book or pdfs.

I have an iPad 2 and used old Apple ID for iBook app; now it wants to upgrade iBook but it is "stuck" on my old ID, yet I already created a new ID but it won't let me update the App. I have everything backed up on my MacBook so if I delete iBooks on my iPad and retrieve the App under my new ID and then sync with my MacBook, will I still have all of the books, etc.?
Your purchases are tied to your Apple ID. If you bought all of the books with the old ID then AFAIK you will have to continue to use that ID in order to continue to sync those books to the iPad.
You have to update the app with the old ID so I don't see how you could keep the books with the new ID. Maybe I am wrong about this, but someone else will chime in I'm sure and correct me if I am wrong. -
I've done recent ios update on my IPad (2nd gen.) and now game center has stopped connecting. Just goes to blank white screen. I have synced 4 times and turned IPad on and off several times. when I try to connect to Apple support it tells me that i must have current safari browser. Yet when I sync to my MAC it tells me all is up to date with current ios.

If no joy... Try a Restore...

Recently updated ipad (4th gen) to 8.1 and iCloud not syncing Contacts, Notes etc.
I recently updated my iPad 4th gen to iOS 8.1 and upon setting up the iCloud, I've found that myiCloud data is not getting updated in my iPad. I o not see my contacts, notes safari bookmarks etc. I signed into iCloud.com from a PC on chrome to see if i had accidentally deleted the stuff, but it's all there. It was working fine when i was on ios 7.0.6. I also have an iphone 5s running ios 7.0.6 on which the icloud runs very fine. i make changes on my phone and they are reflected on the browser in my pc (eg: notes edit on the iphone 5s shows a change in my browser on pc, also changes done using browser show in my iphone, but not iPad). I have tried restoring my ipad to a clean ios 8.1, switched on and off the icloud options, signed out signed in, restarted, but nothing seems to work. My contacts, notes are empty.
Try reset iPad.
Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo. -
Creative Zen overheating error, and now just a white screen?
<C CHi, My Creative Zen mp3 player, 8Gb, 2 years old recently decided not to work properly, it's the first time in 2 years of loyal service it finally failed on me It happened like this: I turned it on, and first it began to execute commands without me pressing any buttons, like skipping to next song, or pausing, in a wild frenzy of quick actions, and strange colours. Then a error message, "overheating, shutting down" appeared, and then the player shut down, but the player did not feel hot, there were no sounds coming from the player, and i have never left it in a hot place, ever I left it alone overnight, the next morning, i turned it on again, the error message came up again one more time, and then i turned it off again, the third time i turned it on, no more error message, now simply it turn on to a white screen, which fades into a lighter white, or like a grey, and after 20 seconds, goes to black (off again, by itself). I tried to connect via usb to my laptop, and at first it appeared in my computer, but i wasn't able to keep the connection, and now it doesn't connect at all What do i DO?
Have you tried resetting the player with the little button on the side?

Could you specify the model of MacBook and the OS X it's running, please? Some of the advice or references vary along with the system, so this could be helpful to formulate a reply. I've never used a Guest User selection, but do have more than one User.
If the computer does not have an optical drive, you may be able to boot it into a recovery disk mode or something; in an attempt to see what is wrong and maybe fix it.

IPhone 5 and iPad 2nd gen weak wifi pick up after iOs 8.0.2 update

I have had my iPhone 5 since September 2012 when it first came out and had never have any problems with it with regards to picking up wifi signal. I had battery issues as the phone got older but it didn't really bother me and I had it sent over to Apple to have the sleep/wake button issue resolved about two weeks ago. Since then, I have purchased the iPhone 6 and gave my old iPhone to my husband. As I'm the one who deals with all the gadgets, I do the updating stuff. My iPhone 6 is on the latest iOs 8.0.2 and it doesn't have any problem whatsoever. My iPhone 5 and iPad 2nd gen (3g + wifi) also had the latest iOs update and both have recurring problems now. Both have problems picking up up wifi signals. Even when I have the iPhone 6 next to them, which has full bars (wifi), the two older gadgets are struggling to pick any signal at all. And if they actually get onto the internet, I only get 1 bar and the internet surfing on them are as sluggish as ever. The battery on the iPhone 5 has drastically gone downhill as well. I have tried to change the WPE/WPA2 connection on the router but it is still the same. I even tried to "Forget the network" and logged in manually again to no avail. The keychain thing on iCloud has been turned off but no change has been noticed. Is there anything else I can do to have this issue resolved? You should really read the manual.

Restore. When given the choice, choose to use backup.

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer. -
I recently updated my iPhone 4 and my iPad to the iOS 7.0.2 and now I am having lots of trouble with messaging. I used to be able to send or receive iMessages from other people with iPhones. Or iPads on either of my devises and if the other user was not connected to a wifi connection it would automatically try to send the message as a text message. Now if I send a message to an iPhone user from my phone and they are not connected to wifi, the message just sits there in limbo, and doesn't notify my that it wasn't sent. I have to manually tap the message and request to send it as a text message, I also can no longer receive picture messages from android phones, and relies to my messages from iPhone users are going to my iPad and not to my phone. Help!!!!
Try the following:
Go to Settings > Messages > iMessages > disable
Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
let it do it's thing and reset.
Then go to Settings > Messages > iMessages > enable
You'll then have to go back to your Wifi and re-enter your router credentials. -
I was downloading updates for Ipod touch 2nd gen and when the process was to the processing files point the screen changed and I wasn't given any idea as to whether the process was complete or not and if it was what was to be done next. I needed to reset the Ipod and now I am wondering what to do . Spend another Hour downloading and whatever amount on processing files and end up where I am now . Whats the next step in finding out what to do? This was the second attempt to do this with the first try happening the same except I am not sure how long the processing files part was.. Any suggestions as to what to try will be greatly appreciated.. Thanks
Likely a batter problem since high temperatures destroy a battery. I wold make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store to see what they say. It is free except for your time.

Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

No, if you have that picture it means the update went wrong and you need to restore via iTunes.
