Recently when I load a safari page it almost immediately stops responding. I haven't had any problems until recently. What's going on?

Just downloaded MacKeeper onto my 2011 MBP. Suddenly when I open safari, every page stops responding almost immediately after loading. The pages load from the bookmarks, so I know that the connection is good. Once a page hangs I can open another page, which then also hangs. I'm working through FireFox now but I'd really like to resolve this problem. Any suggestions>

HI Doug...
MacKeeper is the problem. Your Mac does not rrequire a third party so called, "cleaning" utility. It will do more harm than good as you have already experienced.

I have an iPad 1 and until recently I have not had any problems. Lately I find I am being kicked out of websites and have to start again. There does not seem to be a problem with my Internet connection as it is okay when using my laptop.

The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart... Reset... Restore from Backup... Restore as New...

Turn the iPad Off... ( if it isn’t already )

Release the Buttons...
Turn the iPad On...
If you try all these Steps and you still have issues... Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...

Firefox won't shut down properly. I am running 3.6.8 on a Mac and usually I have to force quit to get it to shut down. This has only begun recently. If I knew how to roll back to a previous version I would and save you the trouble, but alas, I do not.

I'm having this same problem. I am going uninstall Firefox and install Google Chrome. This is ridiculous that there is NO solution Mozilla can provide us! I can't shutdown my Mac because Firefox won't shutdown. I got a script error message, tried to STOP or CONTINUE To no avail.

Settings → scroll down to Safari → in Safari settings, I selected both Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data.
IF that does not work -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Finally - if problem still present -
Go to Settings>General>Reset
Reset the network settings - you will need to add the password of your home WiFi in your phone once more
The device should turn itself off & back on then go into Settings>Wifi and join your network

Using 3.6.12, when I enter a bid on eBay, FF immediately signs off eBay. Never had that problem with earlier versions. I do not have this problem with Internet Explorer.

Using FF 3.6.12, I can log onto eBay, view my account, rate a purchase or win, and search for items. In other words, pretty much do anything normally on eBay.
But if I try to enter a bid on an item, the program exits eBay.com and I get the "You've Signed Off. See You Again Soon!" screen. This happens every time I try to enter or re-enter a bid.

I upgraded to maverick just days after it's release and have had few problems until recently. the last month or so on my ipad i have to constantly change my password for my exchange mail. First i change it on my laptop and then change it on my iPad. Ver .

It's odd that both browsers shut down. One thing I notice from your "More system details" is that you don't have the latest Flash player plugin, at least for Firefox. You can check your version and update here:

Hopefully that will help if the crashes are caused by Flash (e.g., rich media advertisements).

When something that used to work stops doing so, the most likely culprit is corrupt preferences. Go to HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences, delete the com.apple.iwork.pages.plist file & then restart Pages. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your user Library will appear about halfway down the list. Or you can choose Go to Folder from the Go menu in Finder & paste this line in the box:
~/Library/Preferences
