Recieving txt messages on both Iphones 4s

I have a Iphone 4s and my husband just got one. My txt messages are being sent to both of our phones. How do I turn his off for recieving my txt messages?

This is a very common issue when more than one Apple product exists in the home. Did the steps from gina7239 correct the trouble? If not please check if the devices are set up with the same Apple ID. Messaging with iMessages goes through the Apple ID and if both devices use the same one, then both devices will get the same messages. To get your husbands device with a different ID, please follow the steps on http://bit.ly/uBfksa and set it up as a new device. Please keep us posted.

You need to make sure that the setting You can be reaached by iMessage at: is the same on both devices or at least have a common entry.

While I was talking via land line to land line with a friend they recieved text message from my iphone that I did not send. How is that possible?

I repeat. While I was talking via land line to land line with a friend they began recieving text messages from my Iphone that I did not send. I am in the middle east and I was calling a land line in Mexico but that should not have mattered. Moreover, the person I was speaking to told me they had gotten other text messages from me that know I never sent. I called my phone company (AT&T) and was told the problem was not with the system but with my Iphone. They suggested someone was using app that mimicked my phone number. Is such a think possible?

In addition to my iphone I have an itouch. I only just today created an appleID so that I could use this message board so it seems unlikely that the problem is the result of a misused ID

Cannot send txt messages from my iPhone to a android galaxy gear 3

My husband switched from an iPhone to a galaxy note three and kept his old cell number. Now he cannot receive texts from any other iPhones including mine.
Research on Internet indicates this is common issue when an iPhone user switches to an android device and keeps old number from iPhone! Problem does not happen with new android devices .any workable solution known? So far suggestions in forums have not helped. APPLE store personnel uninformed reissue,as well as Best Buy personnel.

Looks to me like the question has indeed been asked 500 times or more...but still looks to me like many still have unresolved solutions if they have more than one Apple device. I've been attempting to follow advice giving in forum conversations...still, no luck. I had turned off imessage on old IPHONE before, then unregistered my old iphone, but still can not get txt messages from any of my friends who have an iphone...not one. I do have several other Apple devices..an IMAC, an MAC BOOK PRO, an IPAD 2 and an IPAD3 still on my same Apple Account that my old phone was on. Is this now the problem

Double messages on both iPhones

We are getting double messages on both our phones, When i send a message I will get it back to my phone as if someone else sent it. I have Iphone 4, my wife Iphone 4s. yet we dont get the double messaging on our Ipad. How do I prevent this?

How come I cannot recieve text messages from other iphone users without using imessage?

I do not have a data plan, so when I am not connected to wi-fi I cannot recieve text messages from other people using an Iphone. I can recieve them once I turnn on imessage and am connected to wi-fi though. Why is this and what can I do to fix it??

Check Settings>General>Cellular to be sure you have Cellular Data set to On.

i am having a hard time recieving text messages from iphone users on my android device even after deactivating my old iphone and imessages. i dont know what else to do, apple is no help and want to charge me for assitance?!?!?!

You can try the following on your friends phone:
1. Remove the contact card
2. Then turn off iMessage and then back on again
3. Go to Messages and compose a new message
4. Press +. This will make a list of recent contacts pop up.
5. Click on the info button number of the contact you are trying to reach.
6. Remove from Recents
7. Try to compose another message
8. If the message attempts to send as blue (imessage), press on the message.
9 Option to send as SMS will appear (as long as they have SMS turned on.
10. Repeat and rinse.
11. Messages will start changing over to all SMS as the user will show as non-imessage user.

Nokia N97 Recieved TXT Messages

Can anyone help me I have an N97 and have set up my Contacts without the +44 numbers at the begining of my numbers.
When I recieve a Txt message it comes in as +44(telephone no). The phone doesnt recognise the number as one of my contacts and I dont know how it has come from without scrolling through all my contacts to find them.
How do I turn off the +44 of Txt? It is so frustrating.

Perfectly sensibly? This is one of the biggest misfeatures of Nokia phones that I have had to put up with for years!
Eddy and Babs, two of my best friends, live together. So guess what, apart from their mobile numbers, they share the same home number. So whenever one of them phones me from their landline it shows up on my display as if it is someone who is not in my contacts list!
I have my own details in a contact card so that I can bluetooth it to people when they ask for it. I also have a contact card called "Home" so that I can use the voice recognition of my phone to just say "Home" to it, and it will phone home. Which means that if anyone phones me from home (the number that I am most phoned from) it shows up on my display as if it isn't in my contact list!
There is nothing sensible about the decision not to display the contact details of a number that is in your contacts more than once. Show one, show all of them, but for heaven's sake show something that says this is someone you know, and not a complete stranger!

Why can't I recieve text messages from an iphone while I'm on a phone call

When I'm on a phone call on my IPhone5s I can not receive text message from other IPhones. Why is this and is there a way that I can fix it. Nor can I send I messages or picture text.

That is a limitation of 4g networks, you cannot use data and talk at the same time except for few networks (I think AT&T)
Unless you have the new iPhone 6, which supports enhanced LTE which will allow talk and data over 4g networks.
This problem exists with many other phones as well by the way.

First lets reset your network settings. For directions on how to reset your network settings click http://vz.to/19OMzKU . I also noticed you mention you have no problems sending pictures to iPhones. Also, are you the account owner? Have you verified there are no blocks on your account that may restrict you from sending picture messages? We look forward to hearing from you.

Erase any conversation you have with this person in your Messages, then start a new one and see if it does same thing. If it still doesn't go through right away, it's a problem with your friend's iMessage setup, not yours.

TS1702 Text messages on both iphone and ipad

Since I upgraded to 6.1, all my incoming and outgoing text messages are showing up on both my iphone and ipad. I'd like to keep two separate streams. How do I separate them?
