Recipe management - Phantom compostion explosion in recipe

I am loading recipes into RM based on a BOM report.
Certain material have components that are Phantom assemblies and I want to create the recipe with the components of the phantom.
How are component quantities of a phantom composition to be calculated when exploded in the referring composition?
Example:
Material M1 has a phathom component P2 @ 500KG
P2 has components C1 @ 300KG, C2 @ 200KG, C3 @ 300KG
Note: 500 not equal 300 + 200 + 300
The recipe for M1 will contain components C1, C2 and C3
How do I determine the quantities for C1, C2 and C3 in M1 recipe?
Is there a function module I can use?

Hi fforster01,
There is nothing like dumb question. These forums are for knowledge gaining and knowledge sharing.
I am not much aware of Recipe Management in ECC 6.0.
But came across below link. Just go through that hope it will solve your purpose.

  • Recipe Management Security

Is anyone restricting access to specific Recipe Management (RM) objects (specifications and recipes) by a project designation and/or team composition?
We are using role-based security along with authorization object and sub-object settings within RM.  Up until this point, a given role would be authorized to display and edit substance specifications for example.  Now, we have a limited sub-group of people working on a super secret project and only want these people to be able to display and edit the specific substance specs created for the project.
Any ideas or tips and tricks would be welcome.  Thank you for your help.
    Beth

    Beth,
You may want to create another authorization group. Then assign specific user/s or role/s to this authorization group.

  • Recipe Hierarchy - Recipe Management

    Hi experts!
I was wondering if somebody can give me some advice regarding the Recipe Hierarchy in RM.
I would like to create a Recipe Hierarchy that enables having Formulas in three levels. As Standard, Recipe Management Hierarchy is as follows:
    1. General Recipe
    2. Site Recipe
    3. Master Recipe
However, the Master Recipe can't contain any formula. So I am thinking of creating a new recipe type as copy of the Site Recipe and trying to assign it to a "standard" site recipe. But the system does not allow this.
Have anyone created custom recipe hierarchy with custom recipe types?
Any info will be very helpful.
    Thanks a lot in advance!
    Amaia

    Hi Amaia,
For the definition of new recipe types the following steps are necessay:
    - IMG activity Specify Specification Types under the EH&S -> Basic Data and Tools -> Specification Management -> Specification Master
    - IMG activity Recipe Settings under the IMG for the Recipe Management -> Recipe
    - IMG activity Set Up Versioning under the IMG for the Recipe Management
Please, create the new recipe types with reference to the SAP standard types (general recipe or site recipe).
It is possible to create the recipe hierarchy with different general or site recipe types (tab page Hierarchy of the recipe).
In the navigation tree of the workbench you have the possiblity to select the layout for the recipe hierarchy.
    I hope, it helps.

  • Recipe Management - Composition of an Output Substance error

    Hi all,
I am trying to implement recipe management best practice for demo purposes and have come across an error with composition output of substance in which I need some help.
The BPP doco outlines that by choosing the Composition tab and selecting Calculate template Values that the system inserst the caculated quantites for the composotion items of my recipe.
However when I click Calculate Template Values I get the following error in the log:
System of equations calculation tool could not be instantiated
    Message no. FRMLCALC030
Can someone please help in how I generate the copmposition of the output substance?
    Thanks in advance,
    fforster01

    hello,
At Recipe Management message No. FRMLCALC030 is meant to acknowledge
that there are EH&S Easy Expert connection issues, and since formula
explosion uses Easy Expert for calculations, it should be running
and available via RFC connection 'EHS_EXPERT'.
For more information on current installed EH&S Easy Expert, see the
Set Up Easy Expert on following IMG activities :
      o EH&S > Basic Data and Tools > Tools > EH&S Expert
             > Set Up EH&S Expert
This is a link to the corresponding EH&S customizing that
explains setup of EasyExpert (depending on the used R/3
release the customizing path may be different).
o Production Planning for Process Industries > Master Data
             > Recipe Management > Set Up EH&S Customizing:
               Section: "Basic EH&S Settings"
If EH&S Easy Expert is already setup and running, please check the
RFC connection using transaction SM59. Whereas this connection is
running properly, then you may check whether environment parameter
EXPERT_DEFAULT_DESTINATION ('EHS_EXPERT') is linked with this RFC
    destination.
Moreover, referS to documentation found on note 568302 for further
information to update the EHS Expert as well as to the document:

  • PLM - Recipe Management

I am very new to Recipe Management. I see that RMWB is the transaction for display of the Recipe.
    1. Is there any transaction for creation of the recipe.
    2. I am also working on the other requirement - where Users need the ability to push a button on the Input/Output screen of the Formula on a Recipe and have the Inputs of the formula copied to the Exact Composition of the Output Substance and converted from kilograms to percentage if entered that way.
    Go to Transaction RMWB
    Open a Recipe
Under Detailed Structure, double click the Dependent Formula to open the Formula for the recipe
Click the Input and Output tab
When the u201CTransfer to Spec of Pr. Outputu201D button is clicked, copy the u201CInputsu201D tabu2019s contents to the u201CExact Composition based upon Productsu201D area on the Output Substance and convert kilograms to %.
To get to the Output Substance u2013
Double click the substance number on the output substance.
Expand the Composition property tree on the bottom left.
Double click the u201CExact Composition based upon Productsu201D
This is what should be populated with the contents of the Pure Compositionu2019s tab on the Formula.
Currently the same button on the Pure Composition tab on the Recipeu2019s Formula does the correct coding for this, only it goes to the Standard Composition instead copying the pure composition to the standard composition (however, no conversion is done on this tab whereas it would be needed on the Input and Output tab).
The function module for the Pure Composition tabu2019s button is the following:
    frml539a_save_comp
The function module for the IO tabu2019s button is the following:FRML565_WRITE_IO_DATA_TO_EHS
Please let me how do I modify the above function module.

    Dear Gowthami,
you can only create an new recipe in the recipe management workbench (transaction RMWB). Please, call the transaction RMWB and switch to the edit mode; then the create-button is availble.
If a 2nd value assignment type should be updated with the function module FRML539A_SAVE_COMP, a new function module (for a 2nd button) is necessary or a modification of this module. If only the value assignment type (in standard: SAP_EHS_1012_001) should be changed, please check the settings of the recipe management IMG activity: Specify Parameters for Explosion Scope for the explosion scope CMP.
    Best regards,
    Roland

  • Recipe Management error while creating Recipe

    Hi,
While creating recipe in Recipe Management (Tcode: RMWB), in the process tab, I am unable to create a STAGE no.
When I try to create stage (4 digit numeric) it gives me an error message "Change number 500000000000 does not exist"
    Long text of error message
    Diagnosis
One of the following situations caused the error message:
    1. You want to edit a BOM or routing using change number 500000000000.
    2. You entered change number 500000000000 in order to display or change the change master.
Change number 500000000000 which you entered does not exist in the system.
    Procedure
Check your entry. Correct the change number if appropriate.
Please help in solving the above issue.
    Rgd,
    Jag

    Hi Jag,
Are there recipes in the system (after an upgrade)?
When you start with the recipe management  the system create automatically a dummy change number (with the profil setting RCP01). The change number  is stored in the table RCPC_AENNR; to read the change number , please use the function module  RCP899_DUMMY_AENNR_READ.
If the change number 500000000 the dummy, please correct the settings of the change managment if the change number is missing.
    Best regards,

  • Linking DMS to a Content Repository for Recipe Management

How do I link a document type to a content repository?
This is for Recipe Management. When I look in DC10 I can see that there is a document type of RMS for Recipe Management.
I assume this means Recipe Management is connected toDMS
I have created a content repository ZRM using OAC0.
How do I make the link between the document type RMS in DMS and the content repository ZRM?

Thanks for the reply but it isn't really what I was after.
I am only the basis guy so I am not sure of the application but my expectation is that users will save a document with a document type of RMS. This document should be saved to a Content Repository
What you have described is how to save a type of document such as MS Word to a particular repository. I was hoping that Recipe Management documents (possibly MS Word, possibly not) would go to a Recipe Management Repository.
There still might be the possibility that documents (possibly MS Word) for other projects e.g. packaging could be written to a different repository.
What I am hoping for is a link from the document type RMS in DC10 to the Content Repository defined in OAC0.
I have a suspicion this is via the category defined by OACT.
The link from SAP DMS to Content Repository seems fundamental to me. I am surprised no one has the answer
...or perhaps I have completely missed the point?

  • Mass Change in Recipe management (Transaction RMWB) - change specification

    Hello ALL,
I am working on a Requirement - Mass Change in Recipe management (Transaction RMWB)
Requirement - for a given specification number get the list of all recipes where this particular specification is used (this is achieved by standard functionality in RMWB)
When a particular recipe is changed in a recipe - perform a mass change of specification across all the recipes.
    Things I have found already:
This has to be done in similar fashion as status change is done using ABAP Class -CL_RCP_MSC_STATUS
I would appreciate your help and suggestion in this.
    Regards,
    Nikhil

    Hi Beth,
Yeah actually we did the same thing per your specs: non-status related although confined to preferred recipes, substituting substance X for Y in dependent formulas of recipes.
The only option right I am aware of currently requires custom ABAP work using the Mass-Change framework supplied.

  • Adding Custom Fields to the Recipe Management Workbench

    Hi Experts
I'm trying to add fields to the Quatities Tab of the recipe dependent and the stage dependent formulas
    in RMWB (Recipe Management Workbench).
I've added other fields to the Input and output tab by appending the frmls_iot_scr structure and then doing the layout setup
in SPRO but where and how do I go about adding fields to the Quantities Tab and is there a BADi that can then be used to fill
    those additional fields.
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Regards
    Vic

    Hi Vic,
There are no exits or BAdI for extending the fields for the view quantities. New fields must be added at the structure FRMLS_TOTALS and added into the customizing table FRMLC32 as col_id. Then the processing of the fields is still to be programmed. The function group is FRML600.
You can use also a copy of the group group.
    Best regards,
    Roland

  • BAPI or Fuction Module name for Recipe Management (tcode RMWB).

    Hi All,
Please can anyone let me know a bapi or a function module name to map the transaction RMWB (Recipe Management Workbench).

  • Recipe management and sharing app/website?

I'm looking for a recipe management Mac application and/or a website (and preferably an iPad app) that will allow me to share recipes directly with friends and them with me.
I have YummySoup and would recommend it to friends except that it requires a MobileMe account to share recipes (it allows you to publish 'recipe casts' and subscribe to other peoples 'recipe casts').
    Any suggestions?

I quite like the way YummySoup works. Someone can publish recipes via MobileMe and then you can subscribe to their receipecast and any new recipes just appear directly in YummySoup. Far less hassle than email.
    Here's an example receipecast: http://homepage.mac.com/kenhumbard/KensFavorites/

  • Recipe Management: Some Questions

    Hi,
Currently I'm working on the recipe management and have some questions, hope you can help.
I could solve most of my previous questions, but now there's a new one.
If I click in the formula view, register (i. e.) composition on the button "Transfer to Spec. of Pr. Output" or "Calculate Template Values" I'm getting a dump:
"When calling the function module "FRML565_WRITE_PO_TO_EHS", one of the parameters needed according to the interface description was not specified. This parameter was "IO_OBJECT"."
    Any idea what's going wrong?
    Thanks,

    Hi All,
Please give me some examples to explain FILLPV. so that it can help me to understand easily.
and how many ore there origin statuses are there in SAP.
What is the INTKY operation why we are using that?
How we can delete the Time Evaluation Results?.
    Thanks.

  • Recipe Management: Formula: Allocation of substance to a material

    Hi folks,
I'm working with the recipe management.
If I try to maintain the formula register "input and output" with a substance without a material allocation I'm getting an error that I have to allocate the substance to a material. How can I maintain only a substance as an input?
    Second question:
In the IMG, recipe management, environmental parameters I need to maintain the parameter FRML_ESTCAT_NUTR_COMP. What value do I need to allocate?
    Thanks in advance.
    Tan

    1. run this report in SE38 RC1PHDEL it will clear you memory and allow new spec creation
    2. Tab 'Value assingments' will have a column 'Base Unit for Nutrient' this is where you have to specify the UoM (g, mg, ..)
    - please check IMG Value assingment type for SAP_RMS_1011_001 - specfication type = Nutrient 'C' - Composition is checked and 'P' unchecked
    also
you should have the following entries for the Table based value assingment in IMG
    SAP_RMS_1011_001          1     OBJID_STDVAI_SORT     SVA     1     5
    SAP_RMS_1011_001          2     OBJID_STDVAI_ASSESSMENT     SVA     2     3
    SAP_RMS_1011_001          3     OBJID_STDVAI_STATUS     SVA     3     4
    SAP_RMS_1011_001          4     OBJID_STDVAI_RELATION     SVA     4     4
    SAP_RMS_1011_001          5     OBJID_USAGE     USA     5     30
    SAP_RMS_1011_001          6     SAP_RMS_1011_001_VALUE     CHA     6     22
SAP_RMS_1011_001     NUTRIENT     0     UOM FOR NUTRIENT     CHA     1
make sure last value assingment is present
SAP_RMS_1011_001     NUTRIENT     0     UOM FOR NUTRIENT     CHA     1
otherwise run IMG activity: Create Entries for the Value Assignments for SAP_RMS_1011_001
    hope this helps
