Recipe Software - iPad

Does anyone know of a good app to store my recipes?
I want the app to allow me to type in my recipes on my notebook / computer and then SYNCH them with my iPad 2.
I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit.
Any suggestions are appreciated!!!!
THANKS!!!!!!
Ty

Here's what I do:
For recipes that I have typed up on my iMac, I will save them as PDF documents and add them to a folder I keep in my Dropbox account specifically for recipes.  My Dropbox account is synced with my iPad, so the added recipes are instantly available on the iPad.  Similarly, if I find a recipe online, I access the "Printer Friendly" version, save it as a PDF and add it to my recipes folder in my Dropbox account.

  • HT4623 I trying to update my iPad using iTunes. After connecting to MacBook Pro where is installed all latest software iPad is recognised as iPad, Serial Number: n/a. iTunes run recovery mode, trying to restore iPad firmware, and in the end unknown error

There was some updayts for my iPad 4 automatically downloaded. After installing it, the iPad began to restart itself every few minutes.
I tryed to update my iPad using iTunes. After connecting to MacBook Pro, where is installed all latest software, iPad is recognised as "iPad", Serial Number: n/a. iTunes run recovery mode, trying to restore iPad firmware, and in the end unknown error occured (3). Tried many times, not results. And now iPad stays only in recovery mode, can't switch it off.  How can I solve this problem please?

When I restart my iPad the connect to iTunes comes up and stays on until it shuts down again, I have read a report from Apple support suggesting I reinstall iTunes so I might try that again and also your suggestion which i shall also try, but thanks again - rg1547

  • Recipe software

I am looking for recipe software along the lines of BigOven Deluxe Inspired Cooking that is compatible with Mac. Most of the good software I find for recipe management is not compatible with mac.

    hey there,
i just discovered "macgourmet", and i really like it a lot. it's got the classic gorgeous mac interface (they bill it as "itunes for your recipes") and it works really well. you can back up your recipes and/or templates to your idisk, if you have a .mac account. you can also make your own recipe website, also if you have .mac. you can download a 30-day trial and the purchase price is very reasonable. also, i had a question and emailed their support team and got a reply within two hours, and this was late at night!!! i'm impressed!
check it out at http://www.macgourmet.com and let us know what you think!

  • Recipe Software for the iPad

I thought I would repost this since I received no replies. My reserach has not helped me. Thanks.
I am looking for a recipe app that will allow me to easily add my own recipes (I do not want any included recipes). I would like to be able to import my recipes from a text or word file or from the current program I have (Cookware Deluxe). Suggestions? Thanks.

    Harry-
Check to see if Cookware Deluxe has some kind of export capability.  For example, one old-time standard format was "Meal Master".  If you can export, look for an App that can import the exported format.
Another option might be if you can make a copy of your Cookware Deluxe data base, and see how it looks in a text editor.  With any luck, it will be obvious what is needed to use it with another program.

  • Recipe for iPAD retina display

    Hi,
Does anyone have a 'recipe' for processing photos for the ipad retina display.
I'm a bit confused as to trying to print to jpeg (with what settings?) or export.
I've tried a bit, but not been really happy with the results.
    What do you do?

You could also have a read of Jeffrey Friedl's Lightroom-to-iPad workflow: http://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies/ipad-howto2
This is effectively a Publish Service which can publish via FTP directly to a client app on the iPhone, thus bypassing iTunes and the iPad Photos app completely. I converted to this a few months back. Well worth a read.
PS I use exactly the same settings as Rikk, although I first crop all the images (VCs) to 4x3 if possible to ensure they are viewed full screen on the iPad.

  • Can i use navigon software ipad and iphone

  • After updating software ipad not working

I can log in but no apps are working after updating to IOS 5

Generally a sign that the iPhone had previously been jailbroken or
hacked to work with other than the original wireless provider and the
update has relocked the iPhone to the original carrier. You must
now contact that original carrier to see if they offer unlocking and if
    you qualify.
Terms of Service for this forum prohibit discussion of jailbroken iPhones.
Google may provide some direction. Contact the developers of the
jailbreak - they support their software, don't they?

  • Itunes no longer works on ipad on version 6 software

My I tunes 10.6.1 no longer works with my upgraded software ipad 2 on version 6 stating my mac needs a higher operating system (currently on 10.5.8) to then upgrade I tunes 10.7. I can no longer use my ipad with itunes simply because I have an older mac operating system. An upgrade on the mac operating system is a lot of money . There is no roll back of ipad software from 6 to the original to cure this

The upgrade to the Mac is around $30.00 if it is still available. You need to upgrade to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 - I think that's the latest SL version.
I copied this from another discussion.
Apple said that customers can still purchase a copy of Snow Leopard or Lion from its online store's telesales agents: 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753) or Customer Service and Sales Support at 1-800-676-2775. For Lion you'll get a redemptions code via e-mail and need to DL from the Mac Apple Store (requires SL 10.6.6+).

  • I allow my grandchildren to play free games on my ipad that I download for them.  Is there a way to prevent them from accidentally (or otherwise) purchasing upgrades?  My 6 yr old just did so and has no idea how she did it.  Can I block this access?

    Yes.  You can set restrictions.
This is covered in the manual.

  • Lack of Task/ToDo Sync to iPhone and iPad

This has been a long standing problem that Apple seems to have no interest in fixing let alone acknowledging.  I have sent them the following complaint and encourage others who feel that the lack of any type of sync option to share Tasks between iCal and a mobile smart device is total crap.  The recent modifications to iCal has made my PAID FOR work around app "ToDo" by Appigo, which USED TO BE awesome, is now almost totally non-functional.
I am STILL quite amazed that Apple has put neither thought nor worry into making iCall FULLY functional between all of the devices that Apple sells.  I don't understand why software that comes native to any Mac OS device (in this case iCal) doesn't have ALL of its functionality shared.  And yes, I am talking about To Do's or Tasks.  How can there not possibly be any way to share this particular aspect of the iCal software to an iPhone or iCal.  To me that is like not being able to share a custom playlist created on a laptop with my iPhone.  Or sharing bookmarks via my .me account but only if it is a .com website and not a .gov or .net.  Why would you only incorporate part of a software's functionality?
I did have a nice third-party software/iPad app all purchased and running to help me work around a problem you have no interest in solving.  But then you had to change to the caldav thing and I backed to being screwed without tasks or todo's on my phone or pad.  Thanks for that.  Now what am I supposed to do with the app (that i PAID for by the way) that can't run because you changed your native software??
This is bull.  And its something I would expect from your competitors in the Pacific Northwest.  Not from you.
    Thank you.

Make sure you devices are signed into the correct iCloud account in Settings>iCloud, then check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar (in the Calendars section).  Here be sure you have selected the calendar under your iCloud account ID as your default.  If everything is correct and it still won't sync your calendar, go through the additional troubleshooting steps in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3999.

  • ITunes Wont Detect iPad Tried Everything!!!

Here's what I've done over the past 2 days to get where I am now.
    1) factory reset my computer completely wiped all files and cleared the hard drive.
    2) downloaded iTunes
    3) updated iPad to newest software (iPad worked perfect)
    4) factory reset iPad
    - got stuck in factory reset, after it finished I was told to connect to iTunes but iTunes would no longer even recognize when the device was plugged in.
-hard reset (holding power and home button) did not work
    - resolved the issue by uninstalling iTunes and all components in a specific order via Apple's directions (yes I double checked my Program and Programx86 folders to make sure everything was removed) https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204275
    5) re-downloaded iTunes
    6) plugged in device and got the error message that you see in the picture
    - plugged device into computer, hard reset, waited for computer to recognize it again after hard reset and got the same message.
-iPad is still stuck on "connect to iTunes" logo
[note:  yes I have a warranty for my computer but I'm hoping to resolve the issue myself first]

Does the iPad charge when plugged into the wall outlet charger? If so, then the iPad's port and the USB cable are fine, and the issue is indeed with the computer.

  • Ipad as a work tool

    Hi.
I use a lot my palm lifedrive on my work and i want to change it for the ipad because ipad y biger and i can put it in waterproof case and work under rain and have almost the same concept than lifedrive. My questions are: ¿What kind of software ipad come whit? ¿iWorks or something similar or i most buy it?. ¿Have the ipad voice recording? Most part of my worktime is outdoor so is important to me
knows if the ipad is a good option or not.
    Thanks

Lifedrive was a great improvement. I still have mine
There is something I toy with on iPad called soundpaper that records ok. You can type right into the doc as you record too.
Have a look at the apple propaganda page and it will show the basic apps on the ipad.

  • Recipe app on the TX2Z notebook

We were looking tthe TX2Z as a kitchen recipe book, but I noticed that the recipe software does not come bundled with it. Is it available for download?

Firstly you need Touchsmart 3.0 UI installed, I don't think it runs on TS 2.0 UI.
Do a search in the drivers and download for "Touchsmart 600-1055", then either from the 64bit or 32 bit, you'll find an update for recipe box.
    1. Download sp44419.exe
    2. Use winrar and extract to sp44419\
    3. Then from the sp44419\src extract using winrar HPTSRB.exe
    4. then copy sp44419\src\HPTSRB\hp\tmp\DefaultAppSettings\Top\* to C:\HP\TS\DefaultAppSettings\
    5. Now double click on the sp44419\src\HPTSRB\hp\tmp\install.cmd
    6. Copy the command.exe file in c:\hp\bin to c:\hp\bin\cmd.exe and then re-run sp44419\src\HPTSRB\hp\tmp\install.cmd as this file contains a typo running cmd.exe instead of command.exe.  Needs this to regedit...
    7. Once you have re-ran it, you need to register the recipe box app...
    cd \pro*-86*\hew*-*\touch*\smart*
    RegisterSmartCenterApp updateconfig C:\HP\TS\DefaultAppSettings\RecipeBox_ebde755e-0a00-4f16-8f56-b5a4be10a96b.xml
    7. Start touchsmart and you should see it as a large tile last on the right.
    8. Let me know if it works! if it does then kudos~!
