Recipient Status 550 #5.1.0 Failures on Automatic Replies Only

I have a strange issue with regard to at least one of my users auto reply's. This user is able to communicate with a particular client via normal emails without issue, but when she sets her Out of Office Assistant her auto reply's get bounced back
with the following Recipient Status: "550 #5.1.0 Rejected by bounce verification." This only seems to happen with a few domains. Is this an issue on the target side, or do I have some configuration issue to look into? At first
I thought it was on their end, but since I can see it happening with more than one recipient at different domains I'm questioning my config.

From your description, you can configure the third party Spam AV/Smart host to accept messages with empty return path for troubleshooting.
What's more, I recommend you use Test E-mail AutoConfiguration to check AutoDiscover on your problematic user's Outlook and normal user's. Compare the two result and check if there are any difference.
If the issue persists, please move the problematic user's mailbox to another database and see the result.

Thank you for the options, but I'm not sure you understood my question, or I didn't present it well. We're not having trouble receiving, but sending. There's no third party application at play. Autodiscover
for this user is typical. Their auto replies are going out to most The message in the subject is the one that is returned, I'm assuming, by the target (external) server.

There is no NDR... It just gets dropped. That could be a function of our configuration as well, but I haven't confirmed that yet. What I HAVE confirmed is that for ALL OOF replies the "Return-Path" header
is set to "<>" which is consistent with the error message I'm seeing. When a normal email is sent that header is populated with the sender's address. (I'm checking this from an external email system) I've practiced some Google-Fu on this
and it seems like that is the desired behavior since Exchange 2007 to prevent automated email storms, and is RFC compliant. Can anyone confirm this? **note: I'm using a single Exchange 2010 SP2 server with just a Hub transport, no Edge**
As for the Transport rule, I tried creating one but it didn't seem to affect it. I didn't restart the server though, is that required for it to take effect? Furthermore, If I follow the links provided I get references for Transport Agents and
Transport Rules, which I understand to be different things. Can anyone clarify that? Thanks!

Check whether your Instance is up if not bring up the instance first. Try to logon to instance with DDIC user and reset the password to standard i.e 19920706.
Re-try the installation.

I've read the other threads on this but not found one exactly like it. We are running Exchange 2010 SP3 Update 1. We recently sent out an internal email to a distribution that had a couple of dynamic DL's in it and a few regular DL's.
A lot of people got the initial email and others didn't until the following day. There was around 3000 or so users in that group. When investigating it with the message tracking log, a lot of users had "400 4.4.7 Message delayed, too many concurrent
deliveries of this message at this time" for the status.
Could this be to do with message throttling? I can find very little information on this on the Internet.

How many HT servers do you have? What is the name of queue they all are residing?

Postfix changing recipient's email address by one character in replies only

Long time lurker..first time poster.
I have an odd issue that was just brought to my attention this morning.
When replying to an email sent from one account, in this case "[email protected]", the name of the account is being changed to "[email protected] I've attached the error message I received in my mail client. Running OS 10.4.4 Server's Mail services.

Check the "Reply to" field in the acccount settings of the originating mail client. Has nothing to do with the Mail Server.

Report - Status of a specific advertisement showing 900 resources when only deployed to 100

we have a strange problem where we run the "Status of a specific advertisment" is showing some bogus data.
We deployed to a collection containing 100 PCs and the report for that collection ID shows:
Accepted = 300
Rejected = 5
No Status = 600
I found another report to get us more accuate information via CCMexec.com.
My question revolves around the default report is showing wrong information? This isnt this first time its happened. I am guessing its an issue with our database?
Anyone have any suggestions?

What Report did you find on ccmexec? Without this info it is impossible answer your question.
If you look at the query on ccmexec and within the report, what is different between them?
My guess based on the fact that you need to enter in Collection id, that is the major difference between the two of them queries.

Maint. Status in Dictionary: Maintain View- setting read and insert only.

I am creating a maint. view for a custom table I have created. Say the view was accessed via sm30, the user should be able to view existing records and insert new records, but not delete or change existing records.
When in the Dictionary:Maintain View (from se11), I am on the Maint. Status tab and I see several options for access:
-read only
-read, change, insert, delete
-read and change
-read and change (time specific)
The problem is, there is no option for READ and INSERT. Does anyone know how to limit the access to this?

A workaround is to allow everything in DDIC and modify the function's PAI (se30 generation) to disallow whatever you want.

ROracle 1.1-4 install failure for R 64 only: R version 2.15.0, Rtools215

Hi,
I'm able to build and install ROracle for R 32 but not for R 64. My problem seems to be related to the configuration script (configure.win) calling "x86_64-w64-mingw32-dlltool"in the case of the arch 64 build.
Versions Used: ROracle 1.1-4, R version 2.15.0, Rtools 2.15.
Following the install instructions, when running "R CMD INSTALL --build --merge-multiarch ROracle_1.1-4.tar.gz", all goes fine for the 32 bits install (all is working fine thereafter in R 32) but when trying to build the 64 bits version, I get the following error:

x86_64-w64-mingw32-dlltool: not found
gcc.exe: error: ocimingw.lib: No such file or directory
ERROR: compilation failed for package 'ROracle'
So I tried to add "C:\Rtools\gcc-4.6.3\i686-w64-mingw32\bin" to PATH and rename "dlltool" within it to "x86_64-w64-mingw32-dlltool". But in this case, when trying to compile ROracle.dll file, it is said that the generated "ocimingw.lib" file is not recognized:

Moreover, in the file "configure.win" inside the package archive, it is said in the commentaries that "# oci.lib generated by 32-bit or 64-bit dlltool works on both versions". And last, the two dlltool.exe files (32 and 64) provided by Rtools 2.15 are exactly the same (I used WinDiff (x64) to check this).
Really disappointing, am I wrong somewhere ? I guess that the real problem may be related to Rtools and the MinGW W64 tools there provided but... ?

Below we suggest a workaround that should allow you to proceed with building a usable version of ROracle-1.1.4 for 64 bit windows.
We are working on an update to ROracle that addresses the problem you have found.
To provide some context to the problem:
RTools-2.15 has deprecated x86_64-w64-mingw32-dlltool. This tool was present in the previous distribution/versions of RTools.
We use this tool in ROracle build process to generate a .lib file from OCI dll files. We did the .lib generation solely to try to accommodate
ROracle into the CRAN windows build environment so we are able to provide ROracle as a binary distribution on windows platforms.
However this mechanism did not pan out - not for any technical reason but rather due to OCI related licensing reasons. So ROracle continues
to be a source code only distribution on CRAN for windows.
We are working on reverting back to using OCI dll files directly, which will remove dependency on x86_64-w64-mingw32-dlltool
and the latest changed to RTools-2.15 has forced us to make this change more quickly.
In the meantime, please follow the steps below to work around dependency on x86_64-w64-mingw32-dlltool
1. Modify Makvars.win in Roracle/src directory to use: "PKG_LIBS=-L. -loci" instead of "PKG_LIBS=-L. ocimingw.lib"
2. Change configure.win in ROracle as follows:
Delete the the following lines:
# generate import library for mingW from ocimingw.def. oci.lib from msvc is

# NOTE: If necessary one can use pexports.exe or dumpbin to generate the

Power failure during automatic update installation

I had a power failure during the installation of automatic updates. since then Safari will not open, it flashes up on screen then crashes. how can I reinstall the updates? update show as having been successfully installed and I cant see a way of reinstalling them to try to fix the problem.

Now my MacBook Pro does not boot and only has an error message when I power up. I have read some forum topics on downloading a stand alone installer to fix and another on using my leopard install disk\utilities to "restore from time machine".
You need to boot into the Leopard DVD by inserting the DVD, rebooting and holding down the "C" key. After the language screen, in the menu, top left, under Utilities, run disk utility and repair HD and permissions.
That's the first step.
If that does not work, boot into the safe mode by holding down the shift key on boot. If you get to the login screen, you are probably in good shape - just click restart and let the system reboot normally.

Time machine failure hard drive read only

I have a seagate 4tb hard drive backing up my 4tb of internal hard drives on my 2008 mac pro. It has worked perfectly for a couple of months.
A couple of weeks ago, for no reason whatsoever that I can discern, the time machine back up failed and the message is that it is read only and I should repair or erase the disk using disk utility. As the back up is over usb 2 only and takes about two days I dont want to do this particularly as I don't see how this will convert the disk back into a read and write disk.
The info on the disk, which I can't seem to change is
you can only read
system read and write
wheel (whatever that is) read and write
and everyone read only
I have tried just moving a file on to it but it is rejected as read only. I can't see any write protect button on the drive itself.
Could you please advise as to whether this is a known macos issue or is this a drive fault. It is strange that I can't seem to alter the permissions in get info.

PHOTOSHOP SETUP FAILURE- SAYS 'YOU MAY ONLY INSTALL ONE PRODUCT'

I have downloaded the trial version of Adobe Photoshop, when I ever I run the exe, it successfully creates the folder for CS3.
Upon doing this, I access the setup.exe file and run it.
It completes on 100%, and then says;
'You can only install one Adobe product at a time. Please complete the other installation before attempting to install Adobe Setup.'
I only have reader and flash on my computer, I have searched for this other incomplete installation and have found nothing.
The system is in error as there is no other program installing or running.
What then, is the solution to this issue? How do I get photoshop to complete it's installation?

This was reported a few times after CS3 came out.
I can only suggest the various steps that were recommended then, which included a full removal from the Control Panel applet followed by a deletion of all folders (in several directories) related to CS3, then running the Adobe clean-up script, then re-installing.
There were other problems related to AV, Flash, IE and registering a DLL too.
All in all, it makes you long for the day when an installation routine worked properly. This is another example of Adobe rushing an incomplete, buggy program out to meet marketing time-scales rather than engineering ones. As long as they go on making obscene profits things are not likely to change either.

Faint clicking(harddrive failure!?) mac only 4 days old

Just letting you know, the battery is under the left PALM REST, there is no room for the HD. The HD sits in its hard drive bay under the right palm rest. That is where the clicking is coming from. The FAN (Macbook only has one) is located near the NUM LOCK key and is an exhaust style fan which sits on top of the heatsync near the CPU
This design has not changed from the GEN 1 MACBOOK to the MID 2008 macbook revision and has not changed since.

You can see the status is listed as Granted to refresh the Crystal Reports so I am not sure why my user keeps getting denied access to refresh the shortcut of the report.

Multiple recipient SMS failure

When I send out an multiple recipient SMS from my IPhone 4s to my daughter's Verizon Env 3 and my son's verizon IPhone 4s, only my son receives the message. When I send a single recipient SMS to my daughter she can receive it then only. What's going on here?

I want to help get this working properly for you. Is this a standard SMS/Text message you are sending? Or is this an MMS/Picture message you are sending? If a picture message, the file size may be too big to receive as @Ann154 suggested. When it sends from your 4S to your son’s 4S, is it being sent as an iMessage? Is the EnV 3 newly activated to your daughter’s line? Please go into Settings & Tools>Phone Settings> Security> ENTER LOCK CODE> Restrictions> ENTER LOCK CODE, then confirm the ‘Messages’ settings are all set to ‘Allow All’ to ensure the device will accept all text messages. Please reply back so I and the community can assist further.
