Recognizing Adobe on my computer

After I had work done on laptop, I have to reload Adobe reader. I downloaded Adobe Reader, and it downloaded Adobe Reader XI. Now everytime i try to open an Adobe doc, it says I need to have Adobe and would i like to load it. If I click "yes", it starts the process and then states that I already have it, and discontinues the download.
I made a point to go back and remove any old Adobe products, 7, 8, etc. The only one i have now is XI. Why do i keep getting this message and why is it now recognizing that i have Adobe loaded on my computer ?

When I open Adobe, it looks like this.(see below). If I go to File open, I
can open a saved file on my desktop. But, if I try to open one of the files
I tried to download today, even if I try to open in a folder, I get the
second illustration below.

If your iPod shows up in Explorer under 'my computer' try changing the drive letter:
-- Click on Start=>Control Panel=>Admin Tools=>Computer Management=>Disk Management
-- Right-Click on the iPod and select “change drive letter”
-- Choose something further along in the alphabet that is unused (Usually, “M”, “N”, “O” or something similar)
-- Safely eject the iPod
-- Reboot the PC
Then restore your iPod to factory settings.

Three 5th gen nanos. One NOT recognized by itunes and computer; other 2 fine.

I have 3 daughters and three 5th gen nanos. I use the same cord, plug and computer, and one is not being recognized by itunes or computer and will not charge; other 2 fine. Something wrong with just the one. Resetting (pressing menu and center until apple appears?) doesn't work. One daughter very SAD. Please help if you can.

I think I found the problem, and it may be useful to others. I cosely looked at the dock connector next to the earphone jack and found that it has a chip in it. Not good news for Gen 5 ipod nano's. Apparently, the connector is bonded to the logic board. I did find that if I gently put pressure on it in one directio or the other, it will make a connection.
Must break the bad news to daughter. Sad face.

Ipod not recognized by any MAC computer

I have a 20gb IPOD 2nd generation which has worked fine until recent itunes and tiger software upgrade. Now Finder nor utilities (ipod updater) nor itunes will recognize the ipod when connected with firewire-- even in disc mode. Ipod is not recognized by any MAC computer (several tried in Apple store). I ran diagnostics and everything checks out on the ipod. Please help.

Do other USB devices work on your MBP?
Does this USB stick work on other MBPs?
There is a possibility that the stick requires more power than the MBP delivers. Try it on a powered hub.

I already have adobe on my computer, but cannot access frontierville app on face book... it says i need to add adobe. won't re-load.

i changed my browser from internet explorer to firefox because of frequent pop ups about errors. i cannot access "frontierville" a game application on face book, it requires adobe flash player. i already have the most current version of adobe on my computer and it pops up to tell me that when i try to re down load it thru this browser. have friends who use this browser to play that game. ... down loaded firefox per their recommendation.

Updated Firefox, adobe flash, restarted computer, still crashing every time I need it. About 8 - 10 x today alone! FIX THIS PLEASE!

Over last few days, maybe a week everytime I want to play video and sometimes just clicking on a page I get the adobe flash crashed symbol and/or the bar across top of screen saying it crashed (when I wasn't even using it!) Accessing Adobe on 2nd Computer

We have 2 computers with windows 7 64 bit system. Only 1 computer can access features of Adobe. One email address for both. How do we access Adobe through 2nd computer? Thank you, Aerag.

Firefox 15.0.1 not recognizing Adobe Flash Plugin 11.4.402.265 - I have unistalled, reinstalled and still "install missing plugin" numerous sites. Help.

Adobe website check page asking for missing plugin after installing into Windows 7. I have used Adobe uninstallers and repeated the whole process several times. Firefox has not accepted/taken the plugin at all. Only help appears for older Adobe Flash.

I've been trying to find a solution to the same problem for several hours now. I restarted my computer this morning, as it was running a bit slugglish. The restart seemed to initiate both a Firefox update and a Flash update to the latest versions. I've uninstalled Flash several times with the Flash uninstaller. I've even down-graded to 10.3. Same result. Firefox simply isn't recognizing the install. Whether it's 10.3 or the latest 11.4, it doesn't exist in the Add-ons manager. I've installed the latest real Player as well, in case it had something to do with the issue. No apparent connection.
Any ideas?

Cannot download ebooks from public library. error "copy not authorized". not recognizing adobe account

Trouble downloading ebooks from public library. Have done it many times recent problem. Error "copy not allowed". Suspect that Nook is not recognizing the adobe account.

I've been downloading books from the New York Public Library to my PC and then I move the book into ADE and from ADE to my Nook without any problems. I've also been able to return the books from ADE to the library although I have yet to learn how to delete them Nook. You may want to recertify your computer for the ADE by selecting Library on the ADE b ar and moving down to "authorize computer"and click "finish" I also do that when I have the Nook connected and select device and once it has been confirmed as authorized I copy the book to the Nook. I hope this helps.
