Recomendations/limitations or Pre-requisites from Account perspective for Exchange hybrid between Exchange 2010 & O365
Hi
I need to migrate a few users from Exchange 2010 on premises to O365. I will be using Hybrid mode. I need to know what are the recommendations & Pre-requisites or limitations from Account\Mailbox perspective? Please suggest.
Hello,
I think it will be more efficient to ask this question on Exchange Online forum:

Using the pre-configured SCCM 2012 SP1 endpoint protection templates for Exchange 2010?
I am looking to update the exclusions for SCCM Endpoint Protect clients performing server AV protection on Exchange 2010 nodes.
Within SC there are a number of pre-defined templates, including ones for Exchange 2007 / 2010. However when I analyse these they do not appear to list all the exclusions that the Exchange product team define on TechNet -
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb332342(v=exchg.141).aspx
So do I;
1 - Use the template as it has been verified by Microsoft for using with Exchange 2010 and it covers all I need to exclude?
2 - Edit the template, adding in the additional exclusions as defined by the Exchange product team?
Would whichever logic I use apply to other templates, such as SQL, SharePoint, etc as well?
Thank you
AlanAs I cut and pasted the xml file I noticed the following comment that I had missed before..........
<!-- Exchange -->
<!-- Exchange Server 2010 exclusions are defined in TechNet bb332342 -->
<!-- Although the exclusions defined in the article work, testing showed that they exceed what is necessary-->
Still going with adding the full recommended list from TechNet though -
Hello
I have an exchange 2010 server and clients use outlook 2007 or 2010 for emails.
I recently deleted an account with the Exchange 2010 server and created another with the same name but a different address.
Now people can't send mail to this new email address because it's cached on their outlook profiles... but it does work after they cleared the cache and send their requests then.
Is there a way that I can clear this one email address from everyone's cached auto-complete list on exhcange or via Group Policy so that it works for all of them? I don't want to clear all of their auto-complete lists.
Thanks,As far as I know, there isn't any way to clear only one auto-complete cache from Exchange side or Group policy.
Thanks,
Evan

Extracting email address from all mailbox in Exchange 2010
Dear Team,
I've requirement where i need to pull all the email addresses from all user mailbox accounts in exchange 2010. I need all email addresses to which we've send emails to/Communicated with and all received email addresses. Is there any script or Power Shell
command to extract email addresses from all mailboxes in our domain(Send and Receive)
Appreciate your quick help.
Thanks,
Mike BaigNo it is not very clear but this is what I understood...
"which we've send emails from our domain" - From address should be always primary smtp address.
"which we've received emails to our domain" - This can be secondary smtp addresses as well.
To get all email addresses (including secondary smtp addresses) you can use below...
get-mailbox -ResultSize unlimited | Select displayname, primarysmtpaddress, @{Name="Email Addresses";Expression={[string]::join(', ', $_.EmailAddresses)}} | Export-Csv emailaddress.csv -NoTypeInformation

Forwarding e-mails from GW 7 to Exchange 2010
Can someone please tell me what needs to be done to forward e-mails from GroupWise 7 to and Exchange 2010 environment? We have migrated to Exchange 2010 but some employees didn't get all of their e-mails migrated over. I would like to set it up so that they can go in to their GW account and forward the e-mails to themselves and have them show up in their Exchange account. Any ideas on how to do this would be appreciated. Thanks.

IMAP will only give them access to their live mail. You set up Outlook
as an IMAP client (trivial to do) and point it at the GW PO or GWIA and
then their livemailbox folder structure is accessible. You then tell
them "I'll keep GW up for a couple months, move stuff as you need it,
and then it's gone"
For archives to make this work they'll have to unarchive pieces of their
mail. -
The SP1 wizard says "Install Hotfix Microsoft Knowledge Base article 982867 from http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/KB982867
However, that link no longer exists.
How to get this hotfix?
Another post said that the Win 7 hotfix would work. Windows6.1-KB982867-v2-x64 But I can't locate that either.
How to fix?
john11Hi John,
Exchange 2010 Service Pack 3 is the latest service pack. It is recommended to install it. Service Packs are cumulative, Exchange 2010 SP3 includes all fixes included in previous RUs and service packs. Here is a blog for your reference:
Exchange Server 2010 SP3
http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2013/02/12/released-exchange-server-2010-sp3.aspx
Hope it helps.

Uploading photo from Lync client with Exchange 2010
We are using Lync 2013 standard edition with Exchange 2010 in our environment.
In the client, if we go to Tools -> Options -> My Picture, the option to "Edit or Remove Picture" is greyed out.
I understand this is only available if we're on Exchange 2013, but someone somewhere must have figured out a workaround for this? Anyone know a reg-hack or 3rd party tool that would enable this feature?
I realize there is a method to turn back on the "Show a picture from a website" via powershell. I have already done this in our environment. However it is quite unrealistic to expect general populace to know how to resize a picture to less than
30kb (?!) and upload it "somewhere" on the web. Understandably this would be a nightmare for Help Desk having to help people resize their photos and find somewhere to upload it to.
Any help/ideas would be appreciated! You could centrally upload profile photos for your users into the AD's thumbnailPhoto attribute using...
powershell:
http://blogs.technet.com/upload-picture
3rd party software:
http://www.codetwo.com/freeware/active-directory-photos/
http://www.cjwdev.co.uk/Software/ADPhotoEdit/Info.html
Lync client side upload into Exchange 2010 will not be possible as Exchange 2013 introduced HD photo and storing photos in the mailbox. Take a look at: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj688150.aspx

is there anyone who knows if i can take my pre-ordered ipad to apple center for engraving - the retailer doesn't offer this free service... but it was too late when i saw it online.
As neat as an engraved pad would be, for the first couple of hours, unless you are nuts, you will park it in a full case, and never see the engraving. Until you take it out of the case to sell it to get the new one, and realize it is worth less because of the engraving. Maybe your subconscious made a better choice for you.....

Pre-requisite of Electronic BRS
Hi,
My client's requirement is to use electronic bank statement. For this I need to configure the steps as mentioned in SPRO for electronic bank statement.
I went through the posts in SDN forum. But i want to know the pre-requisites (like interface required for Electronic BRS, Multicash format from banks, etc) required for Electronic BRS.
My client does not have any interface or Mullticash format. It just downloads statement from internet and does manual BRS.
Please let me know if EBRS possible in such scenario
Edited by: Meenu_ND on May 5, 2011 9:58 AMMeenu-
Implementing Electronic Bank Statement is going to be quite a task:
1. First thing would be to ask your bank in which format they can provide you the statement. Lets say they provide you in BAI Format.
2. Then you would have to get a list of BAI Codes that will be used by your bank in their statements.
3. Get a list of bank accounts that you would be uploading electronically in SAP
4. Based on your company GL Account structure, create all the clearing accounts that are needed (cash receipt, cash disbursement, check receipt, check disbursement, clearing accounts etc).
5. Configure EBS in the system which includes creating BAI Codes, mapping accounts to bai codes, assigning your bank account numbers to company codes to BAI Structure.
Again, it all depends on what format you will be using. In US, we use BAI format and it is pretty straightforward task.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
Can you please provide clarification regarding the pre-requisite certification/s required for the certification-E_HANAAW142- SAP Certified Development Specialist - ABAP for SAP HANA (Edition 2014). The following is the pre-requisites' description from the offical webpage of E_HANAAW142 certification.
This certification is issued to candidates who successfully pass the certification exam for the "SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver" (C_TAW12_70, C_TAW12_71, C_TAW12_731, P_ABAP_70).
https://training.sap.com/shop/certification/e_hanaaw142-sap-certified-development-specialist---abap-for-sap-hana-edition…
Question:
Are all the four certifications(C_TAW12_70, C_TAW12_71, C_TAW12_731, P_ABAP_70) need to be passed prior to taking up E_HANAAW142?
Or Any one of the four pre-requisite certifications is enough?
Advance Thanks.
-LGHi,
you have to pass only one exam from the listed ones.

Purchase Requisition from CRM Service Order
Hello Everybody,
I am trying to create Purchase requisition from Service Order for Service(Material type DIEN) as well as Material (Material type HAWA). I have maintained all the necessary configuration in CRM as well as ECC, like in CRM, Logistic integration we maintained settings for Purchase requisition and in ECC we have maintained Document type and schema for the purchase requisition.
For information purpose, I have created Service Material in ECC as DIEN and item category group as LIES.
As soon as we save the Service Order in CRM with that item category, it should create Purchase requisition in ECC and the document flow in CRM should get activated.
Currently we are not able to create Purchase requisition in ECC.
Kindly let me know if theres any configuration settings missing in CRM as well as ECC or if note to be applied.
Best regards,
Anup BansalHi Anup,
I am facing purchase requisition creation problem for service products from crm.
I have seen your query which was posted on same issue, so i thought i could get some help.
The problem here is when i am saving the service order i am getting the below message.
Enter a (default) purchasing group for material group SUB_MC (Notification E CRM_SRV_LOG_EXT_OLTP 002).
I have actually downloaded mat_dien materials from ecc to crm and for material purchase group is already assigned for one plant, but still not able to recognise.
Please help me out.
Thanks in advance. -
Deleting Mail For Exchange Account from Symbian^3
Since buying my C7, I have been playing with the email settings to try and set up the correct account information that works best for my phone. In doing so I have tried both imap and mail for exchange. In the end I plumped for GMAIL imap and deleted all other accounts. Recently I have needed to set up a mail for exchange account again and when I tried to create a new account it confirmed that I could only set up one such account and that I should delete the other.
I looked at my account list but there was only my IMAP Gmail account. I tried switching the phone off and then on again and the email app then confirmed that there was a mail for exchange account. When I tried to view the account settings or make changes it confirmed that it was not possible to access the account at this time.
I tried deleting the account but although it lets me do this, when I try to add a new mail for exchange account I get the same message as per above and the account is recreated when I next switch off / on?
Does anyone know how I can resolve this......or will I need to factory reset?
Solved!
Go to Solution.I have managed to sort this now. Obviously one of my previous mail for exchange settings had become corrupted and could then not be updated. To fix the problem I downloaded the Nokia configurator tool (available on the downloads section of this site) and got it to read my settings on the phone. I then unticked everything apart from the mail for exchange settings and manually entered them in the tool. I then sent these settings back to the phone and rebooted the phone. The mail for exchange account then appeared although strangely none of the settings I entered had been sent, but I could then edit the account and get it working. I then deleted the account again on the phone and this completed successfully and would allow me to re-add......phew.
I just need PR1.2 so that I can use mail for exchange lol.
