Does iphoto's ibook not ship internationally? I am currently in Hong Kong and have just put a book together that I would like to buy. ibook not letting me put in international address and shipping info seems to suggest US only. I find this hard to believe. The Apple Store in Hong Kong is the size of Manhattan. Well almost!

Don't forget (from  Payment & Pricing - Apple Store (HongKong)):
    Credit cards accepted
Apple is unable to accept credit, debit, or check associated with a billing address outside of Hong Kong.
Not only do you need to select the Hong Kong Print Store but use a credit card with a Hong Kong billing address.

  • Install Itunes for Windows in Hong Kong

    Good Afternoon.
I live in Hong Kong but I do not read and write Chinese, however, whenever I try to download the English version, I have tried 5 or 6 times, selecting English each time, however, I always only get Chinese.  I am wishing to install iTunes on Windows 7 as this is my OS of choice.
My web browser naturally states my location as Hong Kong so I'm usre it is defaulting to that location and assuming I wish Chinese,  so can someone please tell me either how to download the english version, or if I download the chinese version, how can I convert it to English?  Again, this is the download for Windows 7.
    Thank You
    Christopher

Is there a switch to change iTunes once it is installed from Chinese to English?
That's possible. The following screenshots are for a Simplified Chinese display ... but fingers crossed it should be possible to do this also if you've got a Traditional Chinese display.
Launch iTunes. Select the bottom entry in the second-from-the-left menu, as per the following screenshot:
That gets you into your preferences. Make sure you've got the leftmost preferences tab selected, as per the following screenshot:
Go down to the bottom of the preferences tab. In the drop down menu, select the 6th entry from the top (which is the English United Kingdom option) as per the following screenshot:
Now click the leftmost of the two buttons in the bottom-right-hand corner of the tab (that's the "OK" button) as per the following screenshot:
Now quit and relaunch iTunes. Are you seeing it in English now?
EDIT: sorry wiclee, I see you had things under control already. Apologies for butting in.

  • What is the recommendation for cleaning ones sensor? I have a 5D.

What is the recommendation for cleaning the sensor on the 5D III
    Thank you,
    M

The manual recommends using a blower when the automatic cleaning fails - or better yet, sending it to Canon for service.  Sometimes - rarely - a blower will work and is the simplest and reasonably safe thing to use.
Otherwise many like the Sensor Swab solution.  It is tedious and expensive, but I have used it effectively several times - especially on the 5D that seemed more prone to spots than the newer models.  The problem I always have is going from bad to worse to finally better - a lot of patience is required and wasting or going through several of the swabs is not uncommon.  Maybe my technique sucks, but I find it takes a lot of time and swabs to be eventually be satisfied.  That said, I have never caused any damage and I have always managed to finally get the sensor clean.   Along with the swabs, good lighting and magnification (reading glasses or similar) is also necessary as the spots that look huge on a photo will be nearly invisible.

  • Why there's no online order for iphone5 at Hong Kong online store?

As of the subject, I just don't understand why we can't order an iphone 5 just like other country can.
Everyday I have to go to the website to apply for an iphone 5 reservation and then wait for an email saying you can pick up your iphone 5 on the next day; that's just a pain !!
And don't forget we are the customers.
Apple needs to do something about it.

After reading all the dell horror support stories around here, I would recommend buying directly from Dell. The Studio 15 is a great laptop.

  • Should I purchase CDMA or GSM iPhone for use in U.S. and Hong Kong/China?

I currently have an unlocked GSM iPhone 4 that I bought in Hong Kong, and have been using it in the US through Straight Talk. I love having the flexibility of an unlocked phone when I travel. Unfortunately, the GSM networks in my area are pretty spotty, and Verizon's CDMA coverage is MUCH better. Not to mention the data speed is really slow.
I'd like to purchase an unlocked iPhone 5s without a contract, and hopefully be able to use it on the CDMA network here in america, while still have GSM available for use when I travel back and forth to Asia.
The pros and cons of GSM vs. CDMA iPhones are still pretty muddy for me, but it sounds like buying a CDMA iphone would be better for my situation because I could utilize both networks when traveling, and yet have the best speed/coverage in my current home in the US.
Straight talk or Page Plus is what I'm looking to for carriers. Verizon's too expensive for me.
    Here are my questions:
    1. Does my choosing CDMA seem to be the best choice? Or are there any cons regarding purchasing CDMA that I've overlooked? I've heard people say there is no such thing as an unlocked CDMA iphone. My biggest concern is that I arrive in Asia and find that some CDMA lock prevents me from using any other carrier--CDMA or GSM. (Both networks are available there, btw.) I need to make sure I can use data and make calls when I'm there.
    2. If a CDMA iphone is the best choice for me, how do I purchase the right one without a contract? Apple store? Verizon? Straight Talk (do they sell CDMA iphones)?Canada? Ebay seems kinda risky to get an iPhone with the specifications I need.
    3. Does a CDMA iphone still have the slot for sim cards? That's how I've always switched carriers when in Asia.
    Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know that StraightTalk disabled their iphone's GSM capabilities. Guess I won't be going there to buy one.
    A few follow-up questions...
So is a SIM slot only used for GSM? This is something I never knew. I assumed for any network (GSM or CDMA) that a new sim card was the way you changed numbers/networks.
I've heard people mentioning that they've been able to buy Verizon iphones and use them on PagePlus, but this information was a year or two old, so perhaps things have changed with the newer models/carrier contracts. Do you know of any people who have had success in using a Verizon iPhone 5s on the PagePlus network?

  • Power Cables for Hong Kong

Does anyone know which power cable type/standard being used for Hong Kong? I am working on a bill of materials that includes the following switch and router models:
    3750 (non-poe), 7201, 6509, 2801, & 7600.

  • Online Hong Kong store

I live in the uk and i'm going to Hong Kong next week. I have family there and I want to order a MacBook Pro with retina display using the online Hong Kong store. Will the keyboard be an English keyboard?

Im having the same situation with my ipod touch that I ordered on 7th of Sep. I also ordered from HK apple online store.
ITs been 13 days, the status just jumps from "NOT YET SHIPPED" and "PREPARED FOR SHIPMENT" over and over again..
Been calling Apple Order Status Reps, but got no helpful answer as to why this is happening, they just keep telling me ok yes, the item will be shipped end of today (for five days now).. Requested to speak with a manager, till date he hasn't called me back to explain the situation.. Really disappointing.
Also, the number to call listed on the website "800-908-988" is pretty much impossible to get thru. What I mean is, calling 30 times maybe you'll get one time that you can actually get into the switchboard menu, other times, it will just give you a busy tone. They should fix something about this.
Well, I guess I'll just never order from the online store again.
Just wanted to share, and if the original poster has any suggestion on how to get a complaint across to apple corporate. Please advise.
    Thanks

  • Does AppleCare  cover in Hong Kong ?

My family got me the new ipad, and AppleCare plus plan from USA.
I got a broken screen, but the Hong Kong apple store said the plus plan does not cover damages in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong store told me that a replacement costs USD300.
I am so upset that they told me the plus plan is not valid in Hong Kong ! Even I mail the ipad back to states and get a replacement is still cheaper than $300!!!!
Does anyone have similar experience? I saw a guy from UK got a replacement for under the plus coverage. So, it works in only UK ?...
    Please help.thanks!

appletv's only sell in countries where itunes have rights to sell movies and tvshows
so if your kong kong itunes store dont sell such data they don't sell the appletv
likely because they sell them at a price where they lose money but depend on rental and buying of media
to earn back those lost money but they can only do that if they have rights to sell and rent media in the place

  • Recommendations for keyboard for Mini

I want like to know what brand and inexpensive bluetooth keyboard with 10key would be recommended for my 2011 Mac Mini.

I have this problem as well, using an ipad mini retina with a Zagg Folio keyboard.
However, it only occurs when the ipad falls asleep by itself.
If I close the lid of the keyboard, thus causing the ipad to fall asleep, then open the lid, then push a few keys: the bluetooth connection is back up.
So a 'workaround'  for me at least is to always close the lid when I stop typing for a while.
I'm using the ipad mini retina with IOS 8.02,   so this problem hasn't been fixed yet.

    Hello
Will my iPhone work in Hong Kong? Does anyone know if there are any concerns regarding traveling with your iPhone?
Apple is in talks with China to sell a iPhone model there... I would suggest waiting to buy one till it is sold there if you live there.
If you are just traveling on AT&T's network then I would suggest calling AT&T and seeing if their iPhone international voice and data plans extend to China and if so get the monthly plan while you are in China.. Still while in China I would suggest turning off Edge service while there unless you need it

I don't manage to find the shortcut for "next group tab". I have an AZERTY keyboard and the one found on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-perform-firefox-tasks-quickly doesn't work for me. Good news!  Yes, that is the same as Apple (=command) + [ on the US keyboard.  It just takes a lot more keys, shift plus alt plus ( , to make the [  on the French keyboard.
