Recommended hardware specs for Reader in Android

What is the recommended hardware specs for Reader in Android? I would like to have smooth scrolling experience for scanned pdf ebooks with mathematical equations, images and graphs. Also keep the price low on my new tablet. Thank you.

Getting one of the latest devices would obviously give you the best performance, but any device which supports Android 4 or above should be good enough.

  • Hardware Spec for SAP ISU 6 + CRM IDES 7

    Hi,
What would be a recommended hardware spec required to run SAP ISU 6 + CRM IDES 7 with atmost 4-5 concurrent users?
I plan to implement it using CentOS & SAP MAXDB.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sumith

    Hi,
As the concurrent users seem to be less, you only need to ensure disk space (for an ERP and CRM IDES you would need atleast 600-700GB) along with appropriate page file size of approx 120-140GB.
    As for CPU/RAM: a 2 CPU/8Cores (Intel/AMD 2.08GHz) with 32GB RAM should do well enough.
However, if you plan to do the setup for productive environment please use the SAP Quick Sizer tool.

  • Minimum/Recommended Hardware Requirements for DHCP on Windows 2012 R2

    Hello,
I am in the process of building two VM's on Windows Server 2012 R2 in-order to run DHCP with Failover.
Before I build my VM Servers I would like to know if there are Recommended Hardware specs that these servers should be built with?
I've been looking around for a little while and can't seem to find anyone or anywhere that these requirements are posted.
Any help would be greatly apreciated!
    Thanks,
    André

Totally agree with Henrik that DHCP is a very lightweight application and does not require much hardware.  In fact, it is often deployed as another role on a Domain Controller.  The thinking there is that the DC is something you want to have available
all the time, just like DHCP and DNS.  Why not put them on the same box.
My only difference in suggestion about hardware recommendations would be to use the 2012 recommendations instead of the 2008 recommendations, though they are pretty much the same -

  • Recommended Hardware Config for huge OLAP Cube build

    Hi David ,
Can you please provide the recommended hardware config for cube having billions of data under fact table . We ran a cube with 0.1 billion of data took around 7 hours to process. What could be the key areas to gain the performance benefit ? ansd also what could be the CPU , RAM (server) , RAM (Oracle DB) to gain much more perf benefit in such configurations ?
Also we have 32 bit windows 2003 server .Can we get better result if we switch to 64 bit ?
    Thanks in advance,
    DxP.

    Hi!
Well, I would definitely recommend you to proceed with a consultant because I feel that you have some lack of methodology and experience together with time constraints for your project.
Regarding hardware, unfortunately, I would not be able to give you any precise figures because I have no supporting information. What you should bear in mind that your system must be balanced. You (better with consultant) need to find a right balance between all the factors you consider as important while building a pile of hardware:
    - cost
    - architecture
    - speed
    - availability
    - load scenarios
    etc...
Regarding architecture point bear in mind that today finding right balance between processing power and storage processing capacity is a challenge. Put attention to this.

  • Display Hardware specs for After Effects

    Hi,
For Mac Os the hardware specs are (and I'm not mentioning all the specs.... just a couple)
5GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash storage devices)
Additional disk space for disk cache (10GB recommended)
    14400x900 display
    OpenGL 2.0–capable system
I'm I crazy or should the display need minimal 1440x900? I mean ...14400 is a little bit to much isn't it?
Thnx for your time and attention.

    Hi Temi1
Please share the link on which you have notice this
As i have checked system requirement page
and it is showing the minimum requirement for display is 1440X900

  • Recommended Hardware, OS for Web Cache

We are planning to implement web cache for our 9i AS (Sun Solaris) environment. The Web cache server will be running on its own box. Also, we would like to perform load balance on our web cache tier down the road.
Keeping all this in mind. Could someone provide us the recommended hardware (/w cofiguration) and OS for implementing web cache. Thanks,

Web Cache is designed to run on low-cost commodity hardware. You need at most 2 CPUs (the faster the better) to run
a Web Cache instance. A single CPU machine is OK, too -- again, the faster the better.
For the money, you can't beat a 2x933 Linux box.
Then there's memory. Most 32-bit OSs provide 2GB of addressable memory. You want to make sure there's enough
memory to cache all the content you want to cache. Usually, 2GB is more than enough. 500MB - 1GB is usually sufficient.
    Depends on your app.
In a few days, I will post a paper on http://otn.oracle.com/products/ias/web_cache/
that covers the best practices for sizing and performance of Web Cache 2.0.0.x (9iAS 1.0.2.2). This will help you with
    sizing.
The network may also be a consideration for performance, as the paper mentioned above discusses.
Readers shoud note that the information in this standalone paper has been moved to the Performance and Tuning Guide
for 9iAS release 2 (version 9.0.2) which is due out shortly. Some of the information will be different in Web Cache 9.0.2 than
it was in Web Cache 2.0.0.x.

  • Need suggestion on the entire hardware specs for running Oracle VM 2.2.2

    Hi,
I need some suggestion on the preffered hardware specs which can be given to a customer, he wants to run Oracle VM 2.2.2 or Oracle VM 2.2.1.
He has already used Cisco UCS with NetApp storage for OVM 2.2.2/2.2.1 and has being unsucessful with lots of issues creeping up. Thus now need suggestion on the hardware spec which is well tested and works fine with Oracle VM 2.2.2/2.2.1 and he wants to run Oracle Fusion Middleware on top of it.
Any poniters to it will be highly appreciated.

    Hi Avi,
thank you for that information !
Yes. But only for the UCS gear that uses the converged FCoE adapters. If you have standard Ethernet/FC adapters, then it should be OK.We do use the "M71KR-Q QLogic Converged Network Adapter" with UCS. According to you this is an unsupported combination together with OVM 2.2.1, right ?
Now the "Oracle VM 2.2 Validated Configuration Details" shows UCS B200 M1 with M71KR-Q as a valid configuration. Does 2.2 mean OVM 2.2.0 and this is supported, but 2.2.1 / 2.2.2 is not ?
Please clarify since this confuses me.
Best Regards and TIAAny news for me, please ?

  • Hardware specs for a 9iAS application

    Hi,
Where can we get some documents regarding the hardware details needed for the
    9iAS.
Suppose the scenario is like this:-
we have our 9iAS on an NT server, a maximum concurrent usage of the the deployed forms is predicted to be between 250 and 300, there are more than 100 different reports provided, the maximum records(on a 8iDS on different server) that it has
to handle is more than 8 - 10 lacs....
Would the specification below be sufficient for the 9iAS server:
64 bit RISC PROCESSOR 800 MHz or Intel Pentium III or more,
Main Memory 1GB RAM expandable to 2 GB or more,
Hard disk - 18 GB or more,
    100Mbps Ethernet interface
    Networking specs???
We saw many features about Oracle's partnership with Compaq, regarding database servers and RAC. Can we recommend
such Oracle partner's to our clients. Is there other DETAILED documents available in Compaq's or some other sites(Oracle partners), regarding
    deployment of Oracle applications.
    Thank you,
    Ranjith.

read the "A Capacity Planning Guide" at:
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/forms/techlisting.html#scalability
This should help you evaluate your middle tier needs.

  • Recommended Hardware configuration for VS

I was looking at how to improve the performance of my development PC and checked out the VS Virtual Machines on Azure. I noticed two main points,
    1) they all seem to have a second drive that appears to be just for the swapfile/temporary files
    2) they seem to use Windows Server 2012 as the OS
I also saw some recommendations for using SSD's for the main OS drive.
What are the recommended/optimal configurations? Are the advantages/disadvantages documented anywhere?
I can sort of see why (1) would help as my PC seems to be disk-bound but not sure whether (2) is significant or just to allow for SQL server development or something?
Also if I where to use an SSD is there an easy way to move all the appdata, temporary and other frequently written areas to a second conventional HDD?

    Hello Terry,
SSD will increate performace when reading/writing files so you will benefit from this if you use it and do some IO operations. However I think Visual Studio performance do not just rely on this, the build process of Visual Studio is also related to other
of your hardware. It is hard to say how the performance will raise since it depends on so many things.
I will recommend you do this: If you don't need to read or write a project too offten, you can keep it in HDD. If you always use one project and want to increate the performance, please set this project in SSD.
For the appdata and temporary files, I cannot see them from VS settings, maybe you cannot modify them. But if you choose to install VS in SSD, I believe the performance will be better when read/write files.
    Best regards,
    Barry

  • Hypertext for Reader in Android

I was surprised to find that Reader for Android does not support hypertext links - specifically mailto: like the windows version does.  I keep a directory for a group that includes links for email addresses making sending emails from the directory very convenient.  When the other PDF readers that came with my Galaxy S4 would support the hyperlink - I sought out Acrobat reader for Android and was elated to find it exists - and then disappointed to find that it does support hypertext either.  I had hope to find that was also a link I could put behind the phone numbers to place a call - ie: CALL: - That would really be a nice feature for PDFs on a smart phone - but sadly no.
I think this would be really great functionality with many many uses.
    Thank-you

Getting one of the latest devices would obviously give you the best performance, but any device which supports Android 4 or above should be good enough.

  • Recommended Hardware Configurations for EP5.0 SP6

    Hi all,
What is the Recommended RAM and HARDDISC sizes for EP 5.0 SP6 for DEV, QTY and PROD servers.
    Help can be appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sudhir

    Hi Sudhir,
It is impossible to say with out knowing what you are going to be doing with the portal.  SAP doesn't recommend specific sizes.  I believe you will find the minimums in the installation guid or the technical infrastructure guide.
Personally I have a NW portal running on a windows laptop with two Gb of memory and a 40 gig drive.  Depending on the number of users, you could possibly run a portal on a windows box with two Gb of RAM.  For an It organization a dual processor 4Gb of Ram and 40 Gb drive sould work for a Development or Sandbox system unless you are expecting to be doing a lot of development on it.
As far as sizing a QA and production system, that should be left to you working with your hardware provider.  they will want to know things like how many users will there be on the system.  # of concurrent, locations.
Hopefully this give you a little something to start with.

Yes I looked at this link but don't see the type of information I'mlooking

My best guess for an optimal hardware platform at this point is the
    following:
Intel box with 256 mb RAM, 10 GB disk with a 800 MHz processor.
Would appreciate any feedback on whether I'm over or under the target fora
