Recommended list of image services for image longevity?

I am a fan of screenshot threads but I get sad when I see image links to ompldr or dropbox which are inevitably broken.
Presumably Arch servers cannot handle the image bandwidth so we must depend on third party services.
Perhaps we should compile a list of recommended services to upload to and also actively discourage services like Dropbox, whose links seem to be dead (because user delete/moved the source?).
Imgur looks like it will survive for a while but I hate their interface to view full resolution images, so I probably wouldn't recommend them.
What do you guys recommend?

When I upload pictures to imgur, I just make the link point to the image itself.
It's easy to do. Just add "i." before "imgur.com" and add the original filename extension (such as ".png") to the end.

  • Where can we get the list of predefined services for the notification of events/signals

We have a sample plugin docwatch which uses the responder to notify in case a new doc is created/saved/doc closed etc.
I want to know if I can get the similar set of services for the text frame
eg: Typing a text should generate the notification
Deleting a text shoud generate a notification( in the form of alert window or something)
    Also, for pages,frames etc.
Where can we check the list of default services available for these or can we do it some how in code?

    Hi Eton,
To check the instances which have ran today, you can use the below query in query builder.
    SELECT SI_NAME,SI_ID FROM CI_INFOOBJECTS WHERE SI_INSTANCE=1 AND  SI_STARTTIME > '2014.08.20 00:00:00' Order by SI_STARTTIME DESC
To check the instances which would be running in the future, that means you have recurring schedules. Check for the SI_NEXTRUNTIME to get the details of instances which will run in the future as per the recurrences.

  • Recommended online (offsite) backup service for Leopard?

I have searched the Apple Discussions and have only seen mention of Mozy. Does anyone know of any other good online backups? I have an external HD backup but want an OFFsite backup as well.
    Thanks!

    Thanks, but...for instance:
I just signed up for a trial version of dot mac. I have done a sync with my idisk to backup contacts, mail accounts, etc, but don't see anything on my idisk.
This doesn't make paying for dot mac sound that good to me. if i am using it as an offsite backup solution i do need access to my data and if i can't see it that is not good!
I assume these problems are because I am not using the application correctly. Any help appreciated...

  • Recommended software as a service for a kid of 8 yrs

    Hi Adobe forum,
If you can help I would be gratful:
I want to give my often drawing child a chance to "drawing development" with help of Wacom or the like and perhaps Creative Cloud. But I wonder what I should order as I fear Creative Cloud might be too much to digest and Wacom is perhaps not the most child friendly tool?
    Thank you a lot

  • My workflow is not listed in the GOS (Services for object)

    Hello Experts,
I developed a workflow and linked the BO ZBUS2081. This is sub type of standard BO BUS2081. I am using the custom event INVOICEBLOCKED to trigger the workflow. The workflow is triggered propely when the invoce is created (with block) thru MIRO and I can see the workflow in SWEL or SWI6 or SWI14.
But, the workflow is not listed in the services for objects button of the invoice display using MIR4.
If I use the standard event 'BLOCKEDQUANT' as starting event, the workflow is triggered and I can view it in services for object.
In the table SWW_WI2OBJ has all entries about the workflow triggered using standard event or custom event.
How can I make the services for object in invoice list my workflow that was triggered using custom evet?
    Appreciate your help.

    Hi Siva
Thanks for marking this thread answered.....We are glad that your issue was solved :-) ....... But I do agree with Rick Bakker, the first correct answer was by Paul Bakker and I had just elaborated on that.
Please mark the first correct answer as the "green" one.

  • Bulk Upload of Attachments (images) to an invoice (Services for object)

    Hi Gurus,
We are trying to create some kind of program to mass upload scanned images of invoices to an invoice document. At the moment we do each document on its own, we create the attachment to an invoice using FB02, then access the services for objects menu & create attachment.
Can anyone advise of a way of creating a program to upload these images to a document OR the name of the table where it keeps the location of the attchments.
    I hope that makes sense!

How to add an attachment to a Purchase Order in SAP?
You can attach manually any document to PO without using Document Management System ( DMS ) in SAP 4.6C.
But you cannot attach document while you create PO in T/Code ME21N
Save you PO ( ME21N ) and again open with change ( ME22N ) then you can attach document through Service for Object button. Service for Object button available down side of Command screen ( in your PO screen ME22N )
Click your Service Object button -> Create -> Create attachment
then select your window directory ( which file you need to attach) select your file Now your system shows message  Service "Create attachment" is started.
Save again your PO. You can see (open) your attachment in same field ( Service for Object ) select and Create and check attachment list. You can attach as many document in your PO.
Note: This is only information for internal or you can print separately this document for sending to vendor ( fax ) System will not print automatically along PO print out.

  • Using Lightroom publish service for either Flickr or SmugMug. I have many images with a keyword Madd

Using Lightroom publish service for either Flickr or SmugMug. I have many images with a keyword Maddy. This frequently doesn't show up in SmugMug or Flickr. All my other keywords seem to work fine. Anybody experience anything like this?

You only get one opportunity to set up the hard drive under publish and the folder cannot be changed unless you get a plug-in to provide a work around.
However you could just create a generic publish folder - something like Photo Lab, or Print Job.
But you could then right click on your publish folder and select “make target collection” - you will see the plus sign added.
Simply highlight the photos you want to print and press B (the same as adding to a quick collection) and your Publish Services folder on your hard drive will be populated with the exports.
The real problem is that you would need to edit the publish settings every time you required different dimensions etc (not sure possible). I use a similar system, which works well and I like how I can see what has already been published and what is still to be published but my prints are always the same size and resolution.

  • FramePosicioningControl for processor created from list of images

    Hi,
I need to create a FramePositioningControl for processor created from a list of bufferedimages.
I 've followed the instructions in the next code:
    http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/desktop/media/jmf/2.1.1/solutions/JpegImagesToMovie.html and
    http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/desktop/media/jmf/2.1.1/solutions/Cut.html
First thing i do is create a source stream for the list of bufferedimage: SourceStream class.
Then i created a data source that contains an instance of SourceStream: ListImageDataSource class
Finally i created a processor using an instance of ListImageDataSource.
I get the next error when i try to create FramePositioningControl control for that processor:
The processor does not support FramePositioningControl.
The example program is the next. Its a little long but easily understandable.
I test my program with a video file and it works but when i try test it from a list of images i get the error.
Can it be because format chosen of every image? i use RGB but i dont know if that is correct
I need to have a method called getFrame(int index) that returns the frame at the specified index.
If a processor doesnt support framepositioningcontrol when it is created from a list of image, can i use a interface (seekable or other) to do that?

  • Function module to upload gif images to Purchase order-"Services for Obj...

    Hello all,
On ME23N we have option of manually attaching any document to the Purchase order through the option "Services for Object".
Now I have to upload the gif files automaticcal through Backgroud program.
How can we attach the file to the PO automatically?
    Need ur inputs on this.
    Thanks,
    Subba

  • Q:Lists with images not working for me

    Gang,
I am tryingto create a main page with a anumber of images pointing to different URLs. The main page is basically a list with images tied to it, pretty straightforward.
However, I can't get the images to be displayed at all. Check out the test app here:
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=39193 (login: demo/demodemo)
    The workspace name is ANDYTEST.
The images are loaded and are not associated to any application. If I check the source of the page I get the following:
    img src="/i/themes/generic_list.gif" width="128" height="128"
And the width and height part is something that I have added to the attribute of the list entry.
What am I doing wrong, andy ideas is excellent!
    Cheers,
    Andy

    Hello,
The list template has a generic image so when the end developer (you) first implements a dropdown list you don't see a broken image.
What you need to do is edit the List templat and take the image tag that looks like this
    &lt;img src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#themes/generic_list.gif" #IMAGE_ATTR# />and make it this
&lt;img src="#IMAGE#" #IMAGE_ATTR# />I fixed up your example and you can see the images now.

  • Insert Image in SharePoint List & Display Image from SharePoint List using C# Pragmatically

    hi
i have a share point custom list with the following columns and its types.
    Title--------------->Single line of test
    FirstName--------------->Single line of test
    LastName--------------->Single line of test
    Description--------------->multiple line of test
    Link--------------->Hyperlink or Picture
    Image--------------->Hyperlink or Picture
I've to create a visual web part with the following input fields and which can insert following items in the above list columns
     Title                  asp textbox
    First Name         asp textbox
    Last Name        asp textbox
    Description        asp textbox
    Link                  asp textbox
    Image              file upload control
    Submit             asp button
when i click browse button for image control in above web part it browses image .jpg, jpeg or .png file from my computer into image input field above and when i click submit button it must be submitted in the Image column in the above list.
i want to know how can i do that in c# pragmatically.
i've another visual web part which should read the image from the list in Image column and display it in image control on the web part.
    like this
    <img id="imgdisplay" runat="server" src="" />
how can i read image from image column through c# pragmatically.

    Hello,
You can't directly add picture into "Hyperlink or Picture" column because this column takes URL value and image is binary etc. You can first upload that picture into picture library (create new picture or document library) then add that image link
    into that column.
To add/edit "Hyperlink or Picture" column, SP provided special class called "SPFieldUrl". Wheer you need to pass URL and description as parameter.
Refer this link for you ref:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/23829576/how-to-decide-sharepoint-url-field-is-set-as-hyperlink-or-picture
    Hope it could help
