Recommended way to get iPhone 5?

Hi! I'm trying to get an iPhone 5 16GB Black on Verizon. I couldnt preorder because I didnt have a phone upgrade at the time but now I do. I was wondering what people suggest, whether to keep checking the stores for stock and availability for next day store pickup(what I was counting on) or ordering it online.
Ordering it online means I'd probably get it late October and I feel that by then stores might have them available and I could pick one up. What do you all think will happen and what do you suggest? Should I call my local Apple store as soon as they open to try to get the "1st come 1st serve" phones?

Recommended way of getting entity manager from pojo class

Hi,
In our application we have the need or retrieving entity manager from 'pojo' classes.
More specifically we have singleton classes which act as 'data' repositories and are accessed from both servlets and ejb.
I'm aware that the repositories classes might be problematic, but in the current stage we can't perform significant change in application structure so I am looking for a 'fast' solution as possible.
The best way will be to lookup entityt manager in JNDI, but as I undestand this feature is not avaialabe in weblogic.
I understand that the preffered way for getting entity manager in such situation is by using @PersistenceUnit annotion on the calling location and lookup entityManager by that name in the pojo. This is however problematic for us since since we access the repositories from variouse locations (many different classes).
Possible additional solutions we thought of:
- creating an 'entity manager factory' locator ejb. This is an ejb with no transaction attribute, which has one method getEntityManagerFactory. It injects entityManagerFactory and returns it. This is the fastest soltion to implement. Is this a valid one?
- using application managed entity manager in such situations. We have a problem doing so now because the creation seems to fail for variouse reasons.
What is the recommended way?

Which is the recommended way of getting a KN presentation to YouTube?

If I am reading correctly, then I have two options to get my Keynote presentation with music onto my YouTube channel:
1. After finishing the KN presentation, I can convert it to a QuickTime movie and then send that QuickTime novie to YouTube .
2. After finishing the KN presentation, I can send it to iMovie to make a movie out of it, and from there send it to YouTube.
Which way is recommended? Obviously each way of doing it has its own merits and demerits. So what are they?

Exporting it uncompressed will make no difference. The material has already been compressed when it was shot. It's sounds like Toast isn't encoding the material very well. I've never heard anyone say it has a great encoder. iDVD5's is supposed to be better, and you can get better results with care using Compressor or Bit Vice.

Best way to get iPhone on release date?

I live in downtown Chicago and have a Sprint, Apple and Radioshack stores all within a few miles of each other. I am leaving town late next Friday (9/210 and would like to get one before I leave. What time do you need to get to an Apple Store at on a launch date? Do they typically sell out? If I order online tonight will it ship or arrive next Friday?

As with every release of both the iPad and the iPhone, you would likely have to camp out overnight at a store to get one on the release day. Seriously, when the iPhone 4S came out, both the Apple stores near me (Durham and Raleigh) sold out within an hour of opening the doors, mostly to people who had slept in the parking lots outside the store. Some people did the same outside the nearest AT&T corporate store.
Unless you are really into that sort of "must have it at all costs", I would just pre-order it online, and let it come directly to me whenever it ships.

How do I create a standalone database connection based on the datasource setup in ADF?
I have seen code like this in a method of AppModuleImpl.java but that seems a bit of a hack.

What I need is a java.sql.Connection to the database used in the application module so I can call PL/SQL code and or work with AQ queues.
I would prefer a separate connection from the one used by the ADF model so it can have its own transaction control etc.
But I would like to get the connection created authenticated based on regular datasource setup.

Is there any way to get iphone mail to show which incoming messages have been marked "urgent" by the sender?

My work voicemail emails me after-hours messages via gmail. Callers are given the option of tagging them as "urgent", which on my Windows phone, meant that they came in with a little red exclamation point (just as Outlook does). Urgent messages on iphone's mail app, though, don't seem to have any such indicator. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

It appears the iPhone 4 and above support MAP, if you have the latest iOS on your device. Other configuration issues might need to be addressed with the vehicle manufacturer/dealer as far as how much it supports in their operation.

Recommend way to replace doJoin

I have nested TiledViews. In NetDynamics the Data Objects that
populated their fields were joined using the doJoin method. What
is the recommended way of getting this same behavior in JATO 1.2.x?
I have been trying, with little success, to get the values from the
parent TiledView's Model and set them as where-criteria for the child
TiledView's Model.

I'm happy to here you were able to diagnose the problem.
I did a prototype app that had 3 nested tiled views and got it working,
albeit, my sample requirements were not as demanding as yours (specific
db logins and such), but I learned one thing.
I found it easier to push the key value down to the child tiledview than
getting it from the parent tiledview. But sounds like no need to pursue
anymore.

for the OrderListTiledView's primary model (OrderModel). But don't
forget to clear the criteria first.

Assuming Snow Leopard, iCloud has not been deleted - it was never there. The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.2 (Mountain Lion preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is non non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
You can set Snow Leopard up to access the email on an existing iCloud account which has been set up on a compliant device, and you may be able to sync iCal using an unsupported (and possibly unreliable) hack, but no other facilities will work. You cannot open an iCloud account on Snow Leopard.

If you put your info into the computer and hand it to another, you have to assume they will copy everything.
Why are you putting scanned copies of valuable identity information into a computer than can be hacked, stolen, lost or compromised by a dirty tech?

If it's iTunes music, it has your personal ID embedded into the song files. Most IT techs know this though.

Too late now, all you can do is not worry about it.
Take your personal info out of the machine and if you need it, burn cd/dvd copies, a few USB thumb drives, Iron Keys or self encrypting external storage drives with key and/or keypad.

Your contacts should still be on whatever program you sync your iphone to (i.e. Outlook, address book).
The iphone is not a stand alone device. It is designed to be synced with a computer. If you have not been syncing with a compatible program, then you are out of luck. Your contacts are not included in the back-up because it is meant to be synced with your computer.

Find My iPhone is good for misplaced iPhone but not good for thief and it was never meant to be.
You chance of getting it back is very small.
There are a few things you can try.
Try remote lock/wipe your iPhone through Find My iPhone.
