Recommended webcam for demonstrating an iPad app online

Have an iPad application which I would like to include in part of an online product demonstration using WebEx or GoTo Meeting. Using a Windows PC and wondering if anyone has any recommended web cams or solutions to remotely present an iPad app?

Answering my own question so it might help others.
As I understand it to get the .folio to the Apple store I then have to use the Viewer Builder application to make it into an app and submit to Apple, but this is only available if I sign up for a Professional account at a huge cost!

If my ipad was stolen and i havent signed up for find my ipad app will it show the device offline and pending lost mode still?

wondering if i never signed up for the locate my ipad app if it would show my stolen device as offline and pending lost mode or if that means that i did sign up for it and just dont remember?

If it is showing up as Offline and also shows Lost Mode as Pending, then you did turn on Find My iPhone. Otherwise, you wouldn't see the device at all when you went to Find My iPhone in iCloud. If someone turns on the device and connects to the internet, then your pending Lost Mode transaction will process, and a lock code will be placed on the device. It will also show up on the map to show you the location.
However, if it does not come back online, then you won't be able to track it, nor will the lost mode command execute.

General Recommended Procedures for Restarts in BI Apps ETL process

I have two question...
What are recommended procedures to follow if informatica abends occur in the ETL batch? For example, increasing the error count or copying the program to another folder and executing, then marking the step complete in DAC?
I had the error count increased and was going to restart the step. DAC documentation states to then update the status of the task to queued and restart the etl flow. Unfortunately, for some reason the etl flow won't start. Prior times I had just left as failed and restarted however this time I figured I would follow the documentation. so then I went in and marked the flow complete..now when I try to starta new one..nothing happens. has anyone seen this before?

in the past when restarting...due to a timeout error..we would always just go to current run and select start and it would restart...however the documentation for DAC says to update the status to queue (from failed) prior to restarting...so I did that. For some reason...with the status as queued..the flow would not execute....so based on documentation for failed run it says you can mark it as complete which is what we did...however that causes the last step to not execute..we were only 3 tasks from completion when this occured and I checked the PLP_ARsnapshot sessions and feel comfortable that we can not run those. If the end date of the last completed becomes the start date of the next run..then if I run the last session in the execution plan which marks complete, then our next run should grab the correct dates. I would NEVER take this approach if I new we were not 3 tasks from the bottom. However if we restart from the day we just got near completed..i would think I would have bigger issues.

I had to modify the code a little because I put Spotify on an HP laptop running Ubuntu 10.10 (can't upgrade due to hardware incompatibilities). Then I had to direct the audio output to HDMI (something like System -> Administration->Sound). And now I have Spotify coming through my big old JBLs in the TV room!
Note: the code mentioned above works perfectly as-is in Mint 17.
A little later:
I posted too soon. It hangs up after a playlist and I have to restart the laptop to get it working again. Crap!

Hi Jimhno,
"Numbers" is the App you'll need.
It's not a free Apps but it will do the job and the beauty of this gem is the synchronisation with iCloud if you require to work on any other given devices (iPhones, mac, iMac)

Recommended hardware for iPhone/iPad app development

What are the minimum system requirements for a comfortable development platform for iPhone and iPad apps? I know OSX 10.6 is required, but do I want/need a fast processor and/or lots of RAM? Would a new base-model Macbook be sufficient?

Raw off the shelf Mac mini here, just hobbyist, not pro. But it works just fine. If your looking at low cost entry level, just getting your feat wet. Or expect to be able tpo afford more later, then its just fine.

Download the app in the App Store in iTunes on your computer.
Open iTunes on your computer, go to the iTunes Store, search for that app, and download it. If it can be synced to your iPod, it will be if you select it to sync. Otherwise, it will be on your computer until you can sync it to an iPad

For building an iPad app, you can take a look at Adobe Digital Publishing Suite or Adobe Phonegap. Can you describe how would you want to collect email ids and who's emailid's would you want to collect?

Regarding ipad 3 online purchase and carriers

When choosing the specs for purchasing an ipad 3 online through apple.com (us) I have to choose a carrier. Am I then tied to that carrier and secondly, do I also purchase some kind of subscription plan? I am asking since I will mainly use the ipad in europe with a different carrier. Grateful for answer.

Thanks for your comment. Would I be right in thinking that because the iPad is over 2 years old I will not get a free evaluation. I tried to set up an online chat session with an Apple advisor but because I am out of warranty I would need to pay 35.00 euro for the chat. From what your saying its the worst case scenario that my new purchase is a write off.
I was hoping that there was another option besides taking the iPad to apple as there is no Apple store within 300 miles of me. If anyone else has any other suggestions on the software side or has been trough the same problem while out of warranty then I'd love to hear from you.

After trying recommended fixes, iPad apps still do not update

I am having an issue where my iPad apps do not update. I go to the app store, select update all, and enter my password. The black lines appear under the appropriate apps, but stay black. New apps also do not download. My network connection appears to be fine. This happened another time a month or so ago and I had to completely reset my iPad to fix it. Since this is becoming common, I do not want to have to keep starting from scratch for the fix. I have looked at many recommendations online and have tried them. Here is what I have unsuccessfully tried:
I signed out of the store on my iPad, restarted and signed back in.
I reset the settings.
I updated and synced my apps from iTunes on my computer.
I updated to the latest version of iTunes.
If someone could provide a permanent fix, I would appreciate it. I would prefer not to have to completely reset my iPad once a month.

Try this:
Restart the iPad by holding down on the Sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut Off. To power up hold the Sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time (for about 10-15 seconds) until the Apple logo appears (ignore the red slider), then let go of the buttons.
Do any of the app icons say Waiting. If so, tap on an app icon that says Waiting.

OneDrive for Business iPad App with on-premise SharePoint 2013

I don't know if this has more to do with OneDrive for Business or SharePoint 2013 itself.
Basically we are trying to log into OneDrive for Business on the iPad app but it says "Sorry, this app doesn't support this type of authentication"
We are using Claims Based Authentication with our On-premise SharePoint 2013 environment, which according to this table is a supported method: h**p://office.microsoft.com/en-us/office365-sharepoint-online-enterprise-help/use-the-onedrive-for-business-app-on-an-iphone-or-ipad-HA104005688.aspx#_Supported__authentication
We have tried different combinations of the username and url. Windows username, DOMAIN\username, email address, username@domain, etc. nothing seems to work.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Can you recommend an iPad app to open and edit MS Excel files?

I need an iPad app that would enable me to do the following with a MS Excel file:
Import the file from Dropbox
Edit and save the file
Export the edited file back to Dropbox
Can anyone recommend an app that can do the above?

Thanks for the feedback. I have read the reviews of both apps and they are not that great. The DropBox functionality seems to work finenwith both apps.
I want to use the spreadsheet on both my iPad and PC. The reviews of both apps mention that some reformatting of the .xls file can occur when saving it in the app. Have any of you experienced this? I will only be using the app for simple .xls files with normal/simple formulas. Nothing complicated at all. I might use it for Word files, but I have no use for PowerPoint. The only time I might use the PowerPoint functionality is if I happen to receive such a file via email. I'm still using Office 2003 with no intention to upgrade anytime soon as it is just fine for my needs.
The QuickOffice Pro HD app is currently on sale for $11.99 whereas the Documents to Go Premium app that supports DropBox is $16.99. D2G is an universal app and QOP is not.
Any suggestions on which app is the better one would be appreciated.

I downloaded a free App called ThaiPad from Bangkok Post newspaper. I downloaded on my PC running Windows 7. The Bangkok Post recommended itunes for downloading. I completed download but it would not open. I am assuming that perhaps this App. was for iPod

Any app that you download using iTunes is for use only on iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch, and not on a PC. It's possible they have a separate app for PC, as some companies do, but the one you downloaded via iTunes definitely will not open in Windows 7.
