Reconcilation after global consolidation

hi there,
I just did a consolidation,posted the data in new set of books and tried to reconcile the data between the 2 set of books. But i found the data is not reconciling, can anyone help me out on this. Any suggestions are welcome.

What is the version of HFM?
The below could be one of the possible cause:
This is expected behavior if the hierarchies being consolidated have entities in common which contain data.
Consolidate All With Data By Selecting All The Hierarchy Without Top Parent
When selecting multiple sibling members at once, separate consolidations will be launched.
A consolidate all with data will force a calculate on the entities with data, so wherever they exist in other hierarchies, the parent structure will then be impacted.
The first consolidation will set intersections to OK when the consolidation is run, then reset those intersections to CN when the next hierarchy is impacted. These intersections have been impacted twice, once to OK, then back to CN.
Doing Consolidate All With Data From The Top Parent
When the top parent is used to run the Consolidate All With Data it run a single consolidation, the status of that consolidation is OK for the entire hierarchy. (rules may change this result).
For OK status for the entire hierarchy, launch a Consolidate instead of a Consolidate All WithData from the top most parent.

I have one more query ,
One of my user in MIGO for a particular material document have un-checked the components @ the time of receipt of a particular FG item. where as for the remaining FG parts - components exist within a material document.
but my problem is system is not allowing me to reconcile the remaining component , it is throwing warning message for the FG material for which components are not consumed.

Global Consolidation System setup

Hi all,
I am new in Global Consolidation System, our client need to consolidate two new entities to the consolidated sob. But not fully 100% of the account balance. The allocation is as follows:
The holding company holds 75% of entity A and 55% of entity B. So, how can I set this percentage in the consolidation setup?

Financial Consolidation Hub (FCH) vs Global Consolidation System (GCS).

Does any one know the benefits offered by Financial Consolidation Hub (FCH) over Global Consolidation System (GCS).
GCS comes with GL module and it is pretty sophisticated. My question is what are the benefits offered by FCH module (which is new in R12) over GCS?

How to trigger the FR batch jobs when HFM consolidation runs successfully? We want to get the reports in mail after HFM consolidation runs .
How to achieve this, Any helps would be appreciated .

I don't think such a trigger to automate this process is available in the Hyperion/EPM spectrum,however you can schedule FR batches via the command line,details are available at

The usual list of rates & items:
B/S:
Investments, Fixed Assets and Equity (except of RE & MI) - historical rates -- might be deviation toward current rate (if the company doesn't want to keep these rates and information)
RE & MI - average rate (should be the same as in P&L)
All other items - current rate.
P&L
All items - average rate (might be average for a period or YTD).
Special considerations for cash flow items. But it's a separate theme.

Can any one please give me some information on the below points:
1/ If we change the structure of COA or Calendar by creating a new SOB in GL we can use GCS to transfer all the transactions in OLD SOB to NEW SOB provided our instance is not Multi-Org Enabled.
Here my doubt is If the instance is Multi-Org is it possible to use GCS to transfer the transactions from OLD SOB to NEW SOB?
What all the points and precautions we should take if Multi-Org is enabled?
2/ Can any one please give me the basic concept on what is "GLOBAL ACCOUNTING ENGINE DUAL POSTING"

Conky broken after global update

I just ran a pacman -Syu and conky was updated to the newest version. Since then I have restarted my computer. When I started KDE I noticed that Conky was not running. I opened up a terminal and tried to run it manually, and I got the following error:

I've tried googling and searching various forums, but it seems like a problem that was just created with the new version. I have no clue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have another odd issue that's come up. In my network section, it shows all the up/down speeds, ip, and such. Then at the bottom is shows "Network Unavailable", while at the same time obviously showing the network up and running. I have a section that gives me a weather report, and it has something similar. Could be related to the endif error being reported? Some if statment not working right?

Seems like the if/else's are being mishandled somehow.

Capped zones not getting discovered automatically after global zone discovr

On solaris 10.
We have global zones with capped and uncapped zones.
Zones which are uncapped getting discovered under global zone.
But zones which are capped are not getting discovered.

All the non-global zones in the selected global zone are automatically discovered

The most common reason this usually occurs is because the of the shared memory issue with the Sun MC database. Looks like this issue has been passed on to 4.0. Please try doing the following:
When installing a Server in a whole-root Zone, edit /etc/project to set the shared memory setting first.
Change the "default:3:::" entry to look like this:
default:3::::project.max-shm-memory=(privileged,1073741824,deny)
...where 1073741824 indicates a 1GB setting (you may tune it lower). For more details, go here:

Mostly this is a problem in whole root zones, but sometimes also applies to the global zones.

GL: YTD Global Consolidation in 11.0.3? Help!

hey all. our CFO has a problem with the way the 'standard' oracle consolidation handles multi-currency sets of books. when you revalue, translate and consolidate on a monthly basis you lose the year-to-date forex visibility and exposure. basically, it doesn't calculate the gains and losses correctly. i'm sure a lot of people have run into this as well, and i want to know how/if you've been able to work around it? if so, what is the 'improved' process and how does it work? i've thought about MRC and reporting books and all that good stuff, but what i'd really like to do is upgrade to 11.5.9 which has YTD consolidation capabilities. we're slated to do that sometime next year. anything i can do in the meantime?

Few users getting reconciled after running trusted recon

Hi Experts,
i ran a trusted recon for a particular Active Directory search base and it reconciled only 6 out of some 50 odd users. I checked if the remaininig users are already present in OIM, which they are not. I checked all the parameters and they look fine. Please kindly guide me on some pressure points to check for errors.

Verify data of your users. Check reconciliation events, if they generated for all users. That would give you some idea. Click on re-evaluate button there to relink that specific user. Also make sure xlReconbatchsize system property is set to 500(by default). Also make sure (if this is cusomt code), bulk execute method of your schedule task is implemented properly.
If nothing is clear, put logs here.

Reconcile after turning sent to handheld off during vacation

I have turned the "send email to handheld" off during my vacation and I would like to reconcile so I get my Inbox content on my BB updated. I have turned everything back on and did a "reconcile now" and it wont update my BB with my Outlook inbox. What am I missing?

If you're on a personal BIS account, the BlackBerry doesn't reconcile messages to Outlook (and the reconcile now function really doesn't do anything anyway).
If you're on a corporate BES enterprise account, give it more time to reconcile (could be a backlog of messages in the que) and if a few hours from not nothing still, contact your BES Admin.

Problem after consolidating library

Hi,
I've changed the location of my iTunes music, as described in this link:

After I consolidated the library, I compared the size of the iTunes folder in both locations and there is a difference of 50 GB.
So what went wrong?

Calculation after Consolidation process -HFM urgent

HI,
I am encountering a unique problem that even after running consolidation for the organisation , the Calculation status is coming as -- need to run Calculate, so I have to run Calculate in order to clear the validations in the process control tab.
So the issue is in which case calculation is required to be executed again even after running Consolidation, where the consolidation rule involves calculation.
I have alternate hierarchies existing i.e. same childs under two parents, but the consolidation is executed at top level parent.

Try running "Consolidate All" for the main hierarchy followed by "Consolidate" for others.

Customer Statement with Consolidating BP

If Invoice is posted to Customer who is attached to a Consolidating BP, posting of Invoice is posted to Consolidating BP only and Customer Statement does not show this Invoice for the specific Customer BP except appear in the name of Consolidating BP even if the link to Consolidating BP is removed subsequently. New posting of Invoice to Customer after removing Consolidating BP will be posted to specific Customer but not reflected in Consolidating BP. This has been acknowledged by SAP as a limitation as most payments received is usually payable to Consolidating BP for all related Customers.

We need to be able to print Customer Statement by both Consolidate BP and specific Customers related to the same Consolidate BP. Please refer to SAP Message 690264/2007
