Reconcilation of data

hi Xperts,
Can any body give me the step by step Procedure To check the Data in Inventory Cube OIC_C03?.
I am presently checking the data with the Extractor checker data in the source system. is it correct?.
Any Ideas ?.
Plz help me in this Aspect.

Hai Nrupal,
Reconcilation:
Reconcilation is the process of comparing the data after it is
transferred to the BW system with the source system. The procedure to
do reconcilation is either you can check the data from the SE16 if the
data is coming from a particular table only or if the datasource is
any std datasource then the data is coming from the many tables in
that scenario what I used to do ask the R/3 consultant to report on
that particular selections and used to get the data in the excel sheet
and then used to reconcile with the data in BW . If you are familiar
with the reports of R/3 then you are good to go meaning you need not
be dependant on the R/3 consultant ( its better to know which reports
to run to check the data ).
How to do Reconciliation?
There are two ways for Reconciliation
1) Create Basic Cube and load the data from the source system. In the
same way create another cube of type Virtual cube. After creating
those two cubes, create one multiprovider by using the Basic Cube and
Virtual Cube, in the Identification of the Multiprovider select two
cube. Then go to reporting create the query and write on formule to
compare the values of these two cubes.
2) See the contents of the basic cube which is there is BW. In that
screen one Button is there as "SAVE AS". Click that button and select
as "Spread sheet". Save as .xls.
In the Source system side also go to T-Code RSA3, select your data
source which you assigned to the basic cube. Click on execute and see
the contents. Now again here also select the "SAVE AS" button and
select the spread sheet and save under .xls file. Ok now your two flat
file are ready. Now move one file into other by using "move copy". Now
two flat files are in one excel sheet only in different sheets. Now
write a formula to compare the values of sheet 1 and sheet 2 in either
in sheet1 or sheet2.

    Hi
The reconciliation account in G/L accounting is the account which is updated parallel to the subledger account for normal postings (for example, invoice or payment).
This maintained in the Vendor master at the time of creation of Vendor master.
The reconcilliation account is created by the FI consultant.
The G/L account is marked as a reconcillation account maintaining an entry in the field "Account is reconciliation account" in the control data of G/L account , you can check the same using FS00.

  • Reconcile user data in child tables in OIM

    Hello,
I have a Oracle Table (i.e. Employee) contains employee records. An employee has a multiple department IDs and its details and this is stored as different records in the source table. For example in the below table there are two different entries for a employee "E1" due to two DEPT_ID (D1, D2).
    Example: Sample Oracle Table: Employee
    EMP_ID EMP_NAME      DEPT_ID DEPT_NAME           Contact
    E1 Steve      D1      ADMIN           C1
    E1      Steve           D2      HR           C1
Now the problem is that, I would like to perform trusted reconciliation on such table in OIM. While performing reconciliation I wanted to store DEPT information as child table of a employee record, since OIM user table schema cannot contain multi-valued attributes. I am not able to figure out how to achieve this. I am using Database Application Table Connector. The OOTB GTC 9.1 connector does not seem to have any functionality with respect to reconciling data in child tables in OIM. What would be the best way to go about doing this? Will I have to write a new GTC?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Regards,
    Hardew

    Hi,
I'm afraid GTC cannot be configured to reconcile Organizations. I think you'll need to build custom task wich querys your Departments table and creates the Organizations throug APIs (using the "*tcOrganizationOperationsIntf*" interface you can manage Organizations).
Also, the OOTB GTC wont let you assing more than one Organization in your trusted GTC, so probably you'll need to code an algorithm in the Scheduled Task (using APIs too) that querys your User-Departments table and does the appropiate Organization assignations.
To be honest I've never done this before, but It seems to be a quite compicated development if you want to ensure that all the possible issues are solved in the code.

  • Financial Analytics 7.9.6 - Reconciling to EBS 11.5.10 Data Source

    Hi all,
Thank you for taking the time to review this post.
    Environment
    BI Apps: Financial Analytics 7.9.6
    Source system: EBS 11.5.10
    Question
I have completed the BAW ETL load from my EBS 11.5.10 source system and am trying to reconcile the data in the warehouse with the EBS data to ensure it has loaded successfully. I have started by running Parameterised General Ledger -> Trial Balance OOTB Dashboard reports in BI against similar parametrised Trial Balance Summary reports in EBS, and they have successfully reconciled in my local currency (AUD). However, I need to add the "Local" currency columns to the OOTB request when I run a report against a foreign currency (GBP).
This is all easily done but it is time consuming. Can anyone out there share with us all their techniques for reconciling data volumes and values, specifically for EBS 11.5.10 data source?
    Thank you!
    Kind Regards,
    Gary.

  • How to Reconcile Data Between SAP Source Systems and SAP NetWeaver BI

    Hi,
I just read "How to Reconcile Data Between SAP Source Systems and SAP NetWeaver BI".  While I'm waiting for  more authorisation to r/3 to carry it out and test this functionality.
I'd like to ask a question to anyone who has implemented this type solution.  On page 10 it talks about creating a view then setting up the datasource. The solution talks about runnig a query.  I suspect when we run a query I would run it for only a period(using variable) to reconcile.
My question is this.  Will the datasource extractor on /r3 only select the period in our variable or will it do a full selection of the data which would then be passed to BW for filtering?
    Regards

    DEar Mark,
There are several avenues where you can see and reconcile your data with source system, u can see data in by tcode RSA3 for a datasource, and compare the values with actual document posted into the R/3 system. Respective fuctional consultant canhelp you a lot to confirm the data.
On BW side u can see the data in PSA and then check tranformations which subsequent change/update/reject data records based on the selective conditions.
    hope this helps.
Kindly assign the points if it works.
Revert back if u need futher help/information.

  • Reconciling data from 2 databases.

Morning all. I am trying to figure out how to work my way into reconciling the data from 2 databases to ensure that the data in one is similar to what the data is in the other database. I am matching audit schema table in CTR database with a feed schema

Please see this approach, but there are possibly more, I am just giving you the most generic design pattern  http://www.sqlis.com/sqlis/post/Get-all-from-Table-A-that-isnt-in-Table-B.aspx

  • Reconciliation to verify data in R/3  and BW

    Hi Experts,
Can any one explain me how we will maintain reconciliation to verify the data in SAP R/3 and SAP BW are same or not after the data loads. Please explain all the sources that we have.
    Thanks in advance
    Mallik

For Unit Test, you don't need to reconcile all the records. So, I take a couple of selections. Using these, go to RSA3 in R/3 and extract the data and take sub-totals in Excel.
Now, go to Info Provider in BW, and using same selections, download the data in BW or BEx and take sub-totals again and compare both.
If the extractor is generic extractor based on View/Tables, you can go one additional step and get data from SE16 in R/3 to make sure RSA3 and Tables also match.
For Business Content extractor, its a little difficult is do this step because most of them are Function Modules.
This should be enough as long as your selections are good.
You can compare the data from RSA3. Run RSA3 and save the data in a file and then compare with BW.
You can compare the PSA data with R/3 to check whether your data transport is correct. But it’s very much important the end result (with data in Data Targets ex.Infocube...) should be reconciled with the R/3 data to check your update and transfer rules are working fine.
The second part is too tricky since you cannot directly compare the reports while the formats and grouping are different.
You can execute the reports in R/3 and apply the Update and transfer conversions (at least for random records) then reconcile with the BW data.
Take a look on the note: 543188
"How to Reconcile Data Between SAP Source Systems and SAP NetWeaver BI"
The Data Reconciliation procedure is still in the SAP action item for the future release.
But we can reconcile the data by extracting the reports and compare with the query output in Excel sheet.
Please check for a tool "Excel Compare" in google which is really useful in comparing excel files.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/7a5ee147-0501-0010-0a9d-f7abcba36b14

By this method you can compare your infocube data with PSA ones...clearly, every changes in R/3 (due to user exit or, above all, BW-specific standard logic) is not taken into account...if you want to consider also this part (back-end), there is no std method and it depends from every specific flow!

One way is to define Remote Cube on the R3 data source and create multiprovider on BW with the Remote Cube and the BW target. Subtract the KF on R3 from the KF in BW - anything not 0 becomes an exception.
Sometimes the source on R3 is not as straight forward and we have had ABAP developers create summary table on R3 to compare to BW.
Actually one to one Data comparison between R/3 and BW is done during Integration Test phase. During this time we need to sit with R/3 team and work closely because they know exactly the numbers in R/3 side and which tables Data resides and all. After loading Data same data in to BW we compare the numbers between R/3 BW. If both the teams feel there is some data missing then we start the analysis. As a first stem we will see in the extractor’s then BW side during transformation like transfer and update rules.

verifying the data which is coming from R/3 to BW system. That is called as Reconciliation.
That process is done with “ v lookup “functionality.

  • Data In R/3 is present but not in BW

Hi experts i got thiss problem in last extraction i have 5 fields in r/3 which having data but in BW one feild is not getting data remain 4 r showing data what could be the problem ? n how to solve it?plz let me know
    Thanks in advance. bye
    jay

    Hi,
    This info may be helpful.
The first step should be to see if there was any filters when you ran the report (If you had viewed data thru a report).
Then proceed to see the contents of the infoprovider/table level in BW. See of data is there. If data is there in cube and not showing in report it may be an issue with report.
Check the data availabilty in the first level target.
As its found in R/3 and not in cube take a top down or bottom up apporach and follow the data flow path to see to what level data is populated, the presence of any filters in transformations, etc.
Check the data flow from source to target.
Check if any update or transfer routine available in the data flow.
Check the contents of all the targets in the data flow for this field.
    Refer.

  • Date Mismatch of Planned Orders and Production Orders in APO & ECC

    Dear APO Experts
When i am performing /SAPAPO/CCR , we are getting errors for Few Materials
    Please kindly advice.
    Following error for Planned Orders:
    Order 0026037355 difference for receipt date:    06.02.2012 01:05:53(APO) <-> 04.02.2012 01:05:53
    Message no. /SAPAPO/CIF161
    Diagnosis
Order 0026037355 for material yyyy has a different receipt date in SAP APO and SAP R/3:
Receipt date in SAP APO: 06.02.2012 01:05:53
    Receipt date in SAP R/3: 04.02.2012 01:05:53
    Procedure
This data inconsistency can be rectified by choosing Send to R/3.
Note that the receipt date of the primary product is compared without taking into account the goods receipt processing time between SAP APO and SAP R/3.
Note the following if this message is issued for production/process orders:
In SAP APO, if the receipt date of the primary product deviates from the end date of the last activity of the order (for example, due to an offset or scheduling at the end of a fixed block), the receipt date always identifies this as inconsistent. You cannot rectify inconsistencies of this type by using the reconcile provided in the CIF compare/reconcile function.
In this case, you should deactivate the receipt date comparison. Alternatively, you can activate the order end date comparison if the primary product is assigned to the final operation.
    Procedure for System Administration
You can use the business add-in /SAPAPO/CIF_DELTA3 Enhancements Comparison Report to deactivate individual comparisons.
In SAP Note 645597, you can find example coding with which you can activate the order end date comparison.
    Following Error for Production Orders:
    Order 000100163960 difference for receipt date:    14.01.2012 08:30:00(APO) <-> 23.01.2012 18:29:59

    Hi,
Kindly check the SAP note mentioned on the message. Or you may reconcile the data by selecting the "send to APO" or "send to ECC" button on thhe CCR.
Also please check oss # 453244 if its releveant to your current system, otherwise please disregard.
